Domme So true. One option is to pick the blue lions (#besthouse) and recruit hilda. Pairing up Hilda and Sylvain will provide Sylvain with plus 5 damage in combat as long as he’s with Hilda. You could also pick Blue lions and recruit Leonie. Keeping Leonie and Sylvain beside each other will be beneficial for both and that doesn’t even factor in group gambits.
@@nassernayed6286 I'm absolutely with Blue Lions tbh. I mean, I'm going to play all three of them anyway, but still. I really like how well some skills pay off with each other. Marianne with Animal lover self heal, suddenly reminded me of the days of the older Fire Emblem games with the Rescue mechanic. So my guess is that Marianne is probably going to be the pocket healer to horse riders, following them around, and if things get hairy the horse riders can just pick her up and get away. Lysithea's double exp from battle though, seems like a bad omen to me personally. It's interesting that some are retreads of some of the Fates ones, if only probably because there's only so many ideas you can cook up for a personal skill. I do appreciate when they reference a part of their character or demeanor, like Dorothea or Hilda's.
I'm trying to stay spoiler free but I'm glad that personal skills are back. Hopefully someone will have a skill that's similar to Robin's solidarity, a reckless kind of ability, something like +5 damage to and from enemy if unit is not adjacent to ally, or small effects that support units withing 2 spaces.
getting sylvain and hilda on the same team and making them both cavaliers/pegasus knight to make positioning easier seems like it'll be a good idea. Same goes for leonie
I hate Exp gain personal skills as they become useless once you reach promoted LV.20, I hope we can evolve the personal skills into something better but I doubt it
It’s interesting that so many of these names have drastically changed despite this list coming only a few weeks before the game. Here are some of the change. Prodigy became mastermind, scavenge became goody basket, paranoia became persecution complex, strategist became officer duty and ladies man became philanderer
Petra is basically a boss killer, And Ashe is definitely gonna be basically Thief on Horse/Wywern, and Marianne....consider that most of the Master Class are mounted she is definitely a late bloomer.
My personal plan for three houses is if they decide that people can only marry from their own house, I'm going recruit Ignace and Ashe two of my faves and then a girl from each house so they get a waifu. And I guess I'll try to recruit some other people also if I'm able to/feel like it. Also I'm going to do Black Eagles because I hate Claudes hair and I'm not entirely sure why I don't want to pick Blue Lions.
i recommend against it. dedue has 2 base magic and a 15% magic growth, which is unlikely to improve considering that his magic growth only goes up to 25% as a mage or warlock, and his spell list is also nothing special; the only black magic spells he learns are fire, bolganone, and ragnarok. (at least it's not as bad as felix, who only gets thunder and thoron.) also, because he's so slow, he's unlikely to double unless he uses brave weapons like gauntlets, which he cannot do as a magic user. the only reason you should ever make dedue a mage is if you're memeing or doing a worst-classes-only challenge run. he's better off in a class meant to take full advantage of his high defence and hp, such as armoured knight, fortress knight, brawler, or grappler. if you want a good offensive magic user, just use someone like lysithea, annette, dorothea, or constance, who have better magic growths and far better spell lists. if you want an enemy phase killing machine, just use dimitri or felix. if you're regularly putting your mage on the front lines, you're playing the game wrong. EDIT: actually, there's one very good reason to make dedue a magic user: upon passing the certification exam for warlock, dedue's resistance stat will be permanently brought up to 15 if it's not there already, which it probably won't be since he has 1 base res and a 10% res growth. you should never make him a magic user permanently for the reasons i discussed previously, but it's worth it to at least have him certify for warlock so you can patch up his godawful res and make him a more effective damage sponge as a fortress knight. with 15 res, a hexlock shield, and some pure water, fortress knight dedue can shrug off almost any enemy attack, physical or magical.
I really like Live to Serve, Animal Lover, and Catnap (although Live to Serve is a bit better because it lets Mercedes heal herself on the job while Linhardt has to Wait in order for his skill to trigger and Marianne needs to be next to an animal which is more difficult to pull off early game and might require some strategic placement) since they restore health to the characters that are most often your designated healers without you needing to spend money on Vulnaries or stuff like that. I personally tend to prefer to teach almost all of my magic based characters in Faith as a cushion now that we can do that, but these can help a lot if you don't opt for that strategy.
I getting more and more hype with this game, if I ended up liking the gameplay more than Fates' gameplay, then this might become my favorite Fire Emblem. Just the time will let me know.
If someone dies will you be upset and turn it off, or will you like the challenge and keep going? You will have a mechanic to undo mistakes but it will have limited uses
Having played through the entire game twice now, I gotta say: I'm never skipping Lysithea again. She has, by far, the most powerful ability. She was just one shotting people left and right and only very rarely took significant dmg. Extremely powerful unit. If you're in one of the houses that she's not in, make sure to put her on high priority for recruiting. She's worth it.
Ugh, Dorothea and Petra are so cute to me. I hhnnnngggg at Dorothea's hat, and Petra's outfit reminds me of a friend I made in high school. When it got warmer, she was good for skirts like that. Really excited for this game.
Battalions are the soldiers you hire to be with each student. You can select different ones with different benefits (basically exactly like Langrisser). Gambits are special attacks like combat arts you can perform, including co-ordinated gambits if you've got other units close by that probably have some support level with your unit
My question is, why is the Mercenary class line not gender neutral? Leonie is literally meant to be a merc because of her mentor. I wish gender specific classes didn't happen.
They are trying to go back to the old routes of Fire Emblem. Were certain classes are gender exclusive. For example fighter and Dark Mage are also Male exclusive classes. Their are also Female exclusive classes as well like Pegasus Knight and Priest.
@@veiledmystery7219 I agree there have been many Female heroes in Fire Emblem. Echoes did the same thing two making the whole Mercenary class exclusive to only Male characters.
one of my fav is Marianne skill (it unique powerfull sure but also niche because you seen need a really key possitioning whit your unite sure it may be a bit op if you got alot of paladin / flyers but overall I think it a nice passif that is powerfull in the right sytuation but also fit the character and is niche a bit so you can't just abuse it Still need to end your movement beind an alie or at there side so you will need to have some rage ability to be able to hit the enemie and be aside form your alie insteed of 2 away.)
I'm recruiting Ashe over to the Black Eagles because unlocking chests is always nice, but I'm torn between Lysithea for Prodigy and Ignaz for Keen Observation. Prodigy sounds really good for a first playthrough, but I'm worried about how long it'll take before the others catch up, making her unique skill obsolete, while a higher hit rate is always relevant, especially when using stronger weapons.
I really like the designs for most of the cast, but what is up with reusing the same personal skills? Did we really need those 10% HP or 1,2X experience? There are only some that I find creative + useful, like "Wisdom to Live" and "Hunter's Law".
They probably wanted to have a somewhat similar baseline for each house and kind of echo similar roles, and perhaps they didn't want any really busted personal skills
So hype for this game I hope S rank is possible in the timeskip also I can't wait to pre-order this game on my switch as I heard it give u a unit in heroes if u do so
These look nice, but im a bit put off by some of the 10% HP ones, Linhardt's isnt bad since all you have to do is end turn, Dorothea needs to be right next to an ally, either two spaces from them or a bit more hp might make it a bit better, and with Raphael's, even assuming that he has FE Awakening Limit Breaker Capped Luck (around 55) which would be quite late game (not that the caps will be close to that I imagine) , it would still only be a 50% chance to restore 10% HP, so unless he has a Luck growth of 99 it doesnt sound terribly useful
I love personal skills,I hope someday we have a game where characters have 2 personal skills and we can choose which one we use for them, but then they Need so many skills that Maybe won´t even be used, Maybe to much work for what it is
The only problem I have with these skills is that they reuse the same artwork for a very good chunk of them. I think over half of them are just a bathroom sign figure on fire/glowing or a green sparkle.

dorothea : the same effect of heron wing but its 10 instead of 7 but only adjacent instead of drive , it certainly would be into her weapon but they could create a new skill (but it certainly would be a personal skill)
ferdinand : a push skill atk or spd to represent hit rate and def or res to represent avoid
bernadetta : brazen atk/something
caspar : so its basically tharja's hex effect , will they create a skill or make it part of his weapon ? is caspar gonna comme with his new weapon type ? can caspar be more perfect ? we'll see

ingrid : atk/spd bond
lorenz : atk/something bond
hilda : they could create the demoiselle skill , but it's most likely going to be a spur atk (maybe 4) or drive atk (maybe 3)
raphael : renewal ( i was thinking maybe renewal 4 but arvis personal b skill is already renewal 4 so it would be mean to create renewal 4)

ignatz : as if he's going to be in the game before 2030 lmao (anyway i don't see anything for hit rate+20 they tend to represent it with darting blow)

In the end, most of these skills became: I am too lazy to care.
It’s interesting that so many of these names have drastically changed despite this list coming only a few weeks before the game. Here are some of the change.
Prodigy became mastermind, scavenge became goody basket, paranoia became persecution complex, strategist became officer duty and ladies man became philanderer
*Say Dorothea isn’t a dancer type character* *ends up becoming most popular dancer in the game*
AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!! WHICH HOUSE TO CHOOSE!? I LIKE PEOPLE FROM ALL THREE! (I'm leaning toward the Black Eagles.)
Other people have probably pointed it out, but it kind of reminds me of the Potential system in Valkyria Chronicles.
The game really wants Dedue to be a knight. I'm gonna make him a mage. He will be amazing as an enemy phase unit with that defense +4 skill
Dustin Peterson it would be cool to see him as a warlock
I can't wait to see stuff like this lol
i recommend against it. dedue has 2 base magic and a 15% magic growth, which is unlikely to improve considering that his magic growth only goes up to 25% as a mage or warlock, and his spell list is also nothing special; the only black magic spells he learns are fire, bolganone, and ragnarok.
@@ryangallagher9723 bruh, that comment is a year old. I already did it lmao, not worth it.
It’s almost here, I cannot wait to play this :)
im so fking excited to have this game in my hands the 26th cant come fast enough
Lucky crit which House would you choose?
Even more proof Lysithea is just best girl
And VA as Aoi Yuki
Thats a huge plus
My waifu for sure
OkamuraToshi EXACTLY
This game is going to be so damn good. SO TAKE MY MONEY REEEEEEEEEEEEEE
This is gonna be my first fire emblem. Do you recommend I do classic or the casual mode
If someone dies will you be upset and turn it off, or will you like the challenge and keep going? You will have a mechanic to undo mistakes but it will have limited uses
@@lucky_crit I think I will get upset, considering how interesting these characters are. But casual feels like cheating.
I wonder if Byleth and the main lords' personal skills stack.
Ugh, Dorothea and Petra are so cute to me. I hhnnnngggg at Dorothea's hat, and Petra's outfit reminds me of a friend I made in high school. When it got warmer, she was good for skirts like that. Really excited for this game.
Ahhh FIRE EMBLEM
FIIIIYYAAAA EMBURRREMM
Welcome back to 1 more reason why Linhardt is my spirit animal
they changed bernie's paranoia to persecution complex. cute
Solidifying even more that I'm bringing Petra and Marianne to the Blue Lions. I could promote Sylvain to a mounted unit and pair him with Marianne!
I’m so scared my switch could break before I play this game .... *paranoia*
Any news on Dracoknights? Are the confirmed to be out or no info so far?
during battle phase, how can we check the information of each of our character's special ability ?
X button
I hope that if we play all 3 stories we get an additional story where everyone survives, like fates but without the paywall.
I see the lazy duo, I click like!
I've been a little behind on the news lately, what's the difference between a gambit and a battalion?
Battalions are the soldiers you hire to be with each student. You can select different ones with different benefits (basically exactly like Langrisser). Gambits are special attacks like combat arts you can perform, including co-ordinated gambits if you've got other units close by that probably have some support level with your unit
@@lucky_crit Thanks for the quick response!
My question is, why is the Mercenary class line not gender neutral? Leonie is literally meant to be a merc because of her mentor. I wish gender specific classes didn't happen.
The Mercenary class is gender neutral. Female characters just cannot be heroes only Swordmasters.
Still she's perfect for the class line
They are trying to go back to the old routes of Fire Emblem. Were certain classes are gender exclusive. For example fighter and Dark Mage are also Male exclusive classes. Their are also Female exclusive classes as well like Pegasus Knight and Priest.
@@ZackSNetwork Leonie, I have no idea who came up with bringing that back but I hate them for it now
@@veiledmystery7219 I agree there have been many Female heroes in Fire Emblem.
Personal skills are so good. Makes me want to use certain characters Id otherwise look over.
So... Marianne will go best with my wyvern-flying, upside-down dogfighting man Claude. Awesome.
Maybe making Marianne a mounted healer would be good, if possible. Seeing as she would be able to keep up with other mounted units at that point.
A good way to activate Bernie's ability is by having her use an HP-boosting item during a battle. I think...
i've finally decided i'm going to pick the black eagles house and I'll bring over felix and lysithea
Justin White don’t forget Ferdinand has a high hit rate as well as avoid
@@ryanc3609 He's already a part of the Black Eagles, is he not?
@Justin White he is so you may want to use him over Ignatz to free up a spot for Lysithea
So hype for this game I hope S rank is possible in the timeskip also I can't wait to pre-order this game on my switch as I heard it give u a unit in heroes if u do so
I wonder if Teacher's Guidance and Bloodline abilities will stack.
I’m picking the Golden Deers.
Who I want to bring over: Dorothea, Bernadetta, Petra, Felix, Felix, and Sylvian. I’ll do my reasoning later if needed.
Same house but instead of Bernadetta I'd take Linhardt as well as Ingrid or Mercedes
I want to make Bernadetta an Armor Bow Knight
Maybe I’ll bring Caspar over instead of Bernadetta. Also, I meant to say Mercedes but I said Felix twice. Oops!
These look nice, but im a bit put off by some of the 10% HP ones,
Linhardt's isnt bad since all you have to do is end turn,
Dorothea needs to be right next to an ally, either two spaces from them or a bit more hp might make it a bit better,
and with Raphael's, even assuming that he has FE Awakening Limit Breaker Capped Luck (around 55) which would be quite late game (not that the caps will be close to that I imagine) , it would still only be a 50% chance to restore 10% HP, so unless he has a Luck growth of 99 it doesnt sound terribly useful
I love personal skills,I hope someday we have a game where characters have 2 personal skills and we can choose which one we use for them, but then they Need so many skills that Maybe won´t even be used, Maybe to much work for what it is
I wish we could swap them around different characters, like, as a bonus, after beating the game or something.
Amusingly enough, Ignatz has a special potential in Reason magic.
So he IS a nerdy mage boy. You were right. XD
The only problem I have with these skills is that they reuse the same artwork for a very good chunk of them. I think over half of them are just a bathroom sign figure on fire/glowing or a green sparkle.
