I get your point, but when you look at past fe games, all of the female faces look rather similar. (For example, in echoes the male faces are far more varied than female). As for the male faces in this game, I think they look varied enough. I honestly think it’s just the uniforms that make it more noticeable this time around.

In contrast, Three House's designer (or maybe just Three Houses in general) seems to want to imitate Persona while also still being a medieval fantasy... I don't think it was pulled off very well, I don't get any sense of character from any of the characters, and many of them (again, primarily female) just look like that generic anime design. You could tell me the women in the thumbnail came from Sword Art Online and I'd probably believe you.

It means that the back shot we got in trailer 2 was him, not Thales, which I definitely thought it was up to this point. But yeah he's not very tall so this scene is still weird unless he's riding on something or has a weird transformation

I've heard you can sway some of the other students to your faction by lesson planning/interacting as the monastery & keep them post timeskip. So maybe it's not a big deal if we pick Golden Deer & just sway someone over to our side who we want.
Based on my first impression of their personalities, I feel like Ingrid, Marianne, Mercedes, Annette, and Edelgard are shaping up to be my favorite female units in Three Houses. As for male units, I feel as if my favorites so far are Dimitri, Sylvain, Ferdinand, Felix, and Claude, going off from the little we know about them. However, I think they have potential to be the most intriguing story-wise--at least in my eyes.

Claude and Hilda's families are probably allied against Lysithea's family or something, based on this reference. Just noticed Marianne's last name, Edmund, is another character from King Lear too.

I believe that the Flame Emperor and Reaper Knight might actually be future Edelgard and Dimitri who travelled back in time to prevent the war by killing their past selves. Perhaps Claude was killed and this caused them to regret their fighting. The Flame Emperor wears red, wields an axe, and uses the title of emperor. And the church thing could mean that the church is up to know good after the timeskip. For the Reaper Knight, he uses a lance and is called a knight, and Faergus is known for its knights. And also, if the theory that Thales is evil Jeralt is to be believed, then perhaps Kronya and Solon are Manuela and Hanneman respectively.

Looking at the E3 Treehouse footage, I was under the impression that characters are recruited via a package deal. The E3 presenters said they had recruited Raphael and Ignatz, and were then doing a paralogue quest involving those two. Unless there's some information that I've missed, I would imagine that we probably have to pick which pair of students we want, but those pairs are pre-determined. I.E. If you want Raphael, your also going to be stuck with Ignatz as part of a package deal. I could be wrong, but I'm curious to see how that works.
I don't think so, Josh, as we have seen other footage of them just trying to recruit Lysithea (if I recall correctly) and it was just her. Perhaps if you pick certain combos you will get those exclusive missions

The devs have been playful before using names back and forth with the localized versions of the characters. I think Effie and Faye were cases where the devs messed with the localizers and went back and forth
The one nitpick I have is Lysithea von Cordelia isn't an Awakening reference. All the nobles in the Golden Deer have names derived from King Lear, specifically Regan, Gloucester, Goneril, Cordelia, and Edmund with the Leicester Alliance itself derived from Lear's castle.

Still, most profiles are really interesting and diversed. Not a direct link towards what I previously said but when I think about it, Ignatz from the Golden Deer reminds me of Eliot from Trails of Cold Steel.

I've been excited for fe3h from the start, no matter what details others decided to nitpick. But nonetheless I'm happy to see so many more people onboard the hype train after the E3 trailer. I was hellbent on picking Golden Deer from the start but after seeing timeskip Dimitri, I'm conflicted because poor boy needs some hugs. Thanks for all the videos you made on fe3h, each one made me more excited for the game's release.
I was so sold on what house I was choosing after the first trailer but now I'm not sure and it just gets harder and harder the more information we get.
The Empire= Germany The Kingdom= France The Alliance= United Kingdom The Church= The Vatican The Monestary= Any neutral country, but based on location... Probably Switzerland (Also probably Hogwarts)
When I get this game after getting a Switch I'm primarily stuck between choosing the Blue Lions and the Yellow Deer since both Dimitri, and Claude seem like the main protagonist leader type character I'm going for the "We fight with honor, to protect the weak, and innocent from those who would harm them, we fight for the right thing because it's the right thing no matter what, it doesn't matter how tough our enemies get by never giving up we can overcome them, and if we work together we can overcome any obstacle, and we're fighting for the sake of everyone" type of character.
Lysithea has more in common with Hayato than Cordelia. Hayato is a magical prodigy, which led him to gaining a high position within the Wind Tribe, and he's one of the youngest 1st gen characters. He's also childish, but doesn't want to be seen as a child. Then there's the fact that he's scared of the dark and other scary things.
I had no hype for this game before the time skip reveal and these character bios now. I’m more hype for this than any fire emblem game before I can’t wait.

The devs have been playful before using names back and forth with the localized versions of the characters. I think Effie and Faye were cases where the devs messed with the localizers and went back and forth

It is part of her character that she is a genius prodigy so I'd say the reference to Awakening is more than likely.

The one nitpick I have is Lysithea von Cordelia isn't an Awakening reference. All the nobles in the Golden Deer have names derived from King Lear, specifically Regan, Gloucester, Goneril, Cordelia, and Edmund with the Leicester Alliance itself derived from Lear's castle.
Blue Lions for me! Plus, I can recruit other members from other teams so I'm okay with that.

My favorites would be Lysithea and Marianne from the Golden Deer. I also like Lorenz a lot for his meme status. Then it's the Black Eagles and finally the Blue Lions. Still, most profiles are really interesting and diversed.
Not a direct link towards what I previously said but when I think about it, Ignatz from the Golden Deer reminds me of Eliot from Trails of Cold Steel.

The Kingdom= France
The Alliance= United Kingdom
The Church= The Vatican
The Monestary= Any neutral country, but based on location... Probably Switzerland (Also probably Hogwarts)
When I get this game after getting a Switch I'm primarily stuck between choosing the Blue Lions and the Yellow Deer since both Dimitri, and Claude seem like the main protagonist leader type character I'm going for the "We fight with honor, to protect the weak, and innocent from those who would harm them, we fight for the right thing because it's the right thing no matter what, it doesn't matter how tough our enemies get by never giving up we can overcome them, and if we work together we can overcome any obstacle, and we're fighting for the sake of everyone" type of character.
Lysithea has more in common with Hayato than Cordelia. Hayato is a magical prodigy, which led him to gaining a high position within the Wind Tribe, and he's one of the youngest 1st gen characters. He's also childish, but doesn't want to be seen as a child. Then there's the fact that he's scared of the dark and other scary things.
Oh none of these give me a waifu vibe
