2016, 2020, 2024: they run a "centrist" (actually center-right) candidate against Trump. Lost in 2016, barely won in 2020, lost in 2024. They should have run someone who was economically left and stayed quiet about any inflammatory culture war issues. Example policies: National rent control & build lots of housing; Medicare for All. People voted for Trump because they're anxious about the economy. Trump won't help with that (he will probably make it worse), but people do silly things when they're anxious and there's no clear choice. They perceive (incorrectly, or at least lacking in nuance) that Kamala=Same and Trump=Change, so they vote for Change. So Kamala should have been the candidate of Change; she should have adopted Bernie Sanders style policies (populist left / economic left).

A harsh reality to chronically online people, just because social media makes you believe that a candidate is popular, this doesn't necessarily correlate to real life
@@GreatbabyredAren't there research papers that concluded people with higher education and high-skill jobs tend to lean left more than those who didn't attend college and have low-skill jobs?
It’s genuinely fascinating to observe the moment when terminally online Americans start to realize that their carefully curated internet echo chambers don’t align with reality. Many live in digital bubbles, surrounded by others who share the same views, amplify identical narratives, and reinforce the same assumptions. In these spaces, opinions are echoed back so frequently that they start to feel like indisputable truths. It’s as if they’ve constructed a world where their perspectives are universally accepted, and any dissenting voice, on the rare occasion one slips through, feels like a personal attack. But inevitably, some interaction or experience shatters this illusion, forcing them to confront the fact that their virtual reality isn’t a full reflection of the diverse, complex, and often contradictory world outside their screens. The resulting dissonance can be startling, and what’s most telling is their inability to handle it constructively. Rather than reconsidering their views, they lash out, defensive and quick to blame others for why things are “the way they are”, utterly convinced that some external force is responsible for reality’s failure to meet their misguided expectations. They seldom pause to consider that things have always been this way outside their bubble, or that their echo chamber had distorted their perception. Instead, they assign blame to others for these disparities, as if some group or ideology is solely responsible for the “problem” of actual reality. This defensive reaction emerges after years of reinforcing the same beliefs in a closed-loop system, leaving them poorly equipped to engage with real-world complexity.Ironically, the very platforms that should have expanded their understanding end up trapping them in a narrow worldview that can’t withstand the shock of reality, driving them to react with frustration and misplaced blame. But, hey, perhaps they find comfort in that.

Dude so much of the pandering done towards minorities just feels so condescending. I think you said it best, it’s just thinly veiled racism -_-
Dont forget, never bringing up any male issues and demanding they still vote democrat becuase "it would help women"
Well at least everyone can now feel unbuttoned from what has been.
“I’m gonna blame men I shit on constantly for not stepping up to vote for my candidate even though I’ve shitted on those guys they should fight for my beliefs even though I label all types of IST or ISMS”

Dude…the college educated women. They are not going to like that joke.
Most unrealistic part of this video is the thought the Democratic Party would take any responsibility
My favorite part is when he said,
“It’s blamin’ time”, and then he blamed all over them
Sorry guys, me and my 10 million friends who live in swing states forgot to vote because we were busy watching man carrying thing
What a stunning period piece documenting the struggles of the citizens of the USA! The acting, the dramatic silences, and the masterful staging make this a must-watch for anybody into politics.
Truth is. We did the best we could. You can do everything right and still lose. That's all anyone can ask from us, and all we should ask from ourselves.
That's where you're wrong, dead wrong. The Dem party didn't do the best it could, they didn't campaign on the economy and talk about it in a way that would actually get big corporations terrified of them back in 2016/2020. They always tried finding those "moderate" voters and just couldn't.
I laughed way harder at your comment than I should've.
You seem young so I'll try to cut you some slack but, no, the Democrats objectively did not do "everything right". In fact, the Harris campaign shot themselves in the foot more often than they made cogent points on anything.
@raghavpatel720 but this time they did. Kamala made her plan clear several times and even had well renowned economists look at it over and over.
Tax cuts for first time buisness owners
Tax cuts for first time homeowners
Tax cuts for first time families within year 1 of a babies life
Expanding on the Inflation Reduction act by going after corperate price gouging
Raising taxes on the ultra wealthy
Strengthening Unions and the Middleclass
And that's just the ones I know off the top of my head.
The ones who say she didn't talk enough on her economic policy, didn't listen to a goddamn word she said.
Kamala supporting genocide sure did help her win didn't it
You putting that label on your head just made me realize that you're a live-action political cartoon from the turn of the century. Since labels like that were signature.
Personally, I blame the person that pressed the "make egg prices go up" button
@@dbptwgForever. Man is literally too rich to jail despite an absurd number of convicted felonies.

I'm a democratic voter but I am already so sick of seeing my timeline filled with everyone's different theories of who is really to blame within the voter base.
Right? How about blaming all the republicans?
It's gotta be tough getting confronted with the reality that you weren't "right" all along.
And hey, here's the crazy thing, maybe if you weren't so eager to stay inside your life-affirming bubble, you would've been able to see that regular people are sick of dems not delivering for them.
But I get it, it's cozy inside your "safe space" you don't have to confronted difficult realities in there.
So you can go back to playing with yourself, the rest of us are going to do the hard work of actually helping our country improve.
I'm sorry I think it's so funny that suddenly the Amish all of sudden came in swathes to vote- they have before but they are fairly isolated but this election they came and they don't really use social media too often (because it undermines their values) so they aren't seeing the insanity online. I don't think their the sole reason trump won though. Still it's funny.
It's never too late to come over to the side where life is fun and not super anxious and annoying, it's your choice and nobody else's
