Hope this helps if your xbox turns on a black screen leave your xbox on for 20 - 30 minutes , after that it should take u to an error screen , and unfortunately the only option is to factory reset your xbox. But look at the bright side you dont have to spend money on a new one Edit: if you get the error code E100 while trying this method it means you have a failed hardware update. Which means you could send your Xbox One for repair or buy a new one.

G'day, I followed this and still have a black screen. Would this suggest that my resolution did not adjust? I have tried 3 HDMI cables and turned off and on several times.
There is a company based in Midland Michigan mall called Roadrunner games. They fixed my no signal issue. It's a common thing with the one x systems. The problem is the HDMI chip built inside the system. After 3 weeks and well worth the wait, my Xbox is perfect. No issues as of late. Trying other methods viewed on RUclips may work for some, but not for others like me.
This completely fixed the problem. That's crazy. My tv looked like static. I knew it shouldn't be doing that because when I initially started my Xbox, I saw the green loading startup screen completely normal without any static, then got to the Home Screen and it blacked out for a sec and came back as static so bad. I tried switching cables, switching the ends and nothing worked. I did the method where you hold down the eject button and power button and it did start in lowest quality mode. Then I was able to change the resolution and it looked perfect, like it's supposed to. Thank you because I searched on RUclips and online and couldn't find any useful information. You're the best! ❤
See my Xbox a lil different i have to use a remote and position it under my hdmi because the port in my Xbox is lose and my hdmi slips right out so the remote helps balance it but it’s still frustrating to try and get it right I just think I should take it to the shop and see if they can fix it because nun of the RUclips tutorials work

If your screen shows no signal, change the HDMI cable with an extra one you have. Mine wasn’t working and I just did this and it worked. The hdmi cable was broken.

It worked the second time I tried! Make sure to turn the HDMI cable around, not sure why it works but it did the second time!
It's a short in the cable. Turning it around just happened to bend it.

I think I’m in the same boat. Pretty sure the hdmi port or hard drive is broken. My money is on the port.
@@ryan3656 try diff hdmi. Mine WAS the drive. With 0 sound I could hear it click. Try that first. Go for an ssd also.
