Riftraft it is because on the Xbox 360 there was a virus called the red ring of death that a lot of people got and it was basically a red ring that was on your screen and it was just a virus that completely totaled your Xbox

@jared bishop powered the xbox off, then press and hold pair and eject with one hand then press and hold power with the other hand. You have to do this quickly because eject will automatically power the xbox on in about 2 secs. Once you are holding all three you'll hear the first beep then wait for the second beep and factory reset screen should come up. Choose factory reset but keep all apps and games. The Xbox will go through some prompts and take an update. You should be good to go. You will need your Xbox live username and password though

Plug ur internet out and all xbox cables including the hdmi for the tv then wait 30sec. After that plug everything in, then hold the sinc,eject and xbox power button at the same time worked for me
When your Xbox screen goes black wait for it to go idle and when it does press A and then B and it’ll go to the Home Screen (this will take longer cause you have to wait till it goes idle) but I do it and it temporarily fixes it for a few uses

This video fixed both my problems. At fisrt my xbox just would not connect to my internet in any way, shape, or form. My phome was connect as well as everyone else's in the house. Ive restarted my xbox multiple times and my router and no luck. I try an alternative internet source and still my xbox would not connect. I go ahead and decide to MAC address clear and restart the console. The normal xbox green loading screen apears for a bit and then disappear as it should. But after that it was just a black screen. When I press any button on the comtroller it does nothing, even the home button. But when I held the home button the console interface poped up and thats the only thing I can mess with. So I decided to try and get help. Now this guy that made this video god bless his soul for making this video. I tried the first method and nothing changed but i will say i waited around 3 minutes before plugging it back in. I got scared so i just held the xbox button until the console turned off. I turned it back on. Nothing. I go ahead and try to hard restart the console again. As I went to hold the button my finger slipped so I just turned the console off instead of restarting. I turn it back on and it worked! I was so suprised that that worked and it helped me fix my internet issue i am able to connect to my router with ease. MØTIVATE

It wasn’t evident in this video, but for the reset, he held down the sync button and the eject button (or the button under the power button for non-disc drive systems) and then hit the power button.That is what I had to do.

Your game data will sync from your last loading session from the cloud it just deletes the hard drive I believe

Literally every Xbox I’ve seen this problem in I just disassembled cleaned the fan out and it works fine. You’d be amazed at the stuff you will find inside a console.

When I cut mine on I get the green Xbox screen then it goes black. If I hold the x on the controller I can see the cut off/reset console options any ideas?

Plug ur internet out and all xbox cables including the hdmi for the tv then wait 30sec. After that plug everything in, then hold the sinc,eject and xbox power button at the same time worked for me

When your Xbox screen goes black wait for it to go idle and when it does press A and then B and it’ll go to the Home Screen (this will take longer cause you have to wait till it goes idle) but I do it and it temporarily fixes it for a few uses

My xbox froze so I pressed restart but it didn't turn off so I held the xbox button for 10 seconds to turn it off and now it won't connect to my TV and no solutions work. Is my xbox broke or is there a solution
The sound isnt comin i see nothing on my screen i trief everything a different monitor a different hdmi cable i dont hear de second sound and my xbox shuts down after 2 minutes
If you have it directly connected unplug it and see if it works that worked for me then Plug it back in

This video fixed both my problems. At fisrt my xbox just would not connect to my internet in any way, shape, or form. My phome was connect as well as everyone else's in the house. Ive restarted my xbox multiple times and my router and no luck. I try an alternative internet source and still my xbox would not connect. I go ahead and decide to MAC address clear and restart the console. The normal xbox green loading screen apears for a bit and then disappear as it should. But after that it was just a black screen. When I press any button on the comtroller it does nothing, even the home button. But when I held the home button the console interface poped up and thats the only thing I can mess with. So I decided to try and get help. Now this guy that made this video god bless his soul for making this video. I tried the first method and nothing changed but i will say i waited around 3 minutes before plugging it back in. I got scared so i just held the xbox button until the console turned off. I turned it back on. Nothing. I go ahead and try to hard restart the console again. As I went to hold the button my finger slipped so I just turned the console off instead of restarting. I turn it back on and it worked! I was so suprised that that worked and it helped me fix my internet issue i am able to connect to my router with ease. MØTIVATE
Factory data reset worked for us. We took cover off and cleaned out dust from fan, vents, and ports. Good luck.

This is what customer support told me to do and it worked!
NOTE: The Xbox should be off when you perform these steps.
- Turn your Xbox off
- Press and hold both the bind button and the eject button on your Xbox.
NOTE: The bind button is the one you use to sync wireless controllers to your Xbox, and the eject button is the one you use to eject discs.
- With the bind and eject buttons still held down, press and release the power button. At this time, you will hear a startup chime.
- Continue holding the bind and eject buttons until you hear the startup chime a second time
- Release the bind and eject buttons.
- Select Reset this Xbox from the menu.
- Choose the option "Keep my games & apps"
You'll have to re-add any accounts you had back but everything else is safe nothing is deleted

It wasn’t evident in this video, but for the reset, he held down the sync button and the eject button (or the button under the power button for non-disc drive systems) and then hit the power button.That is what I had to do.
Still get the black screen after 5 minutes of waiting for it to connect to my tv then another 5 minutes and a screen saying restart or fully reset but I cant choose I can only press a
