    I got this laptop and crashing all the time with an external display. I troubleshoot everything I could and can’t stop the issue. The legion support is useless as they don’t come and service you at home even thought I am supposed to. I called multiple times and didn’t get any service. Great stuff, Ben.
    One question about your qualm with the CPU (HX vs HS). I am looking at another Legion SKU and it comes with a choice of the 6900HX OR the 6800H.
    IS the 6800H that different from the HS, or have you not had experience with both of them before?

    • @BenGKaiser
      @BenGKaiser  Год назад +2

      HX, H, and HS are all unique. Basically the most efficient out of the 3 skus is the HS. It will get the best battery life. The HX is unique because it allows for custom overclocking via the BIOS. So if you want to get REALLY techie the HX would be good. Overall the HX and the HS provide unique values. Personally I like the battery life of the HS, but the HX offer slightly more performance. It is up to you what you would like out of your CPU.

    • @gandoo10
      @gandoo10 Год назад

      @@BenGKaiser I see. You know, you reviewed the Legion 7 AMD with the 6850M XT about a week ago. The one you reviewed had a 6900HX but they sell a 6850M XT with a 1 TB SSD and a 6800H. I'm no power user or content creator but I am looking to get the best battery life for work while still having a rather powerful machine.
      That's why I asked about the CPUs. Seems like a 6800H will be just fine for me (6900HX is OOS on Lenovo's site for the past 1.5 months) and I can deal with the 1 TB of storage (as opposed to the 2 TB in your review unit) with an external drive.
      I just didn't know if I'd get FOMO going for the 6800H vs the (OOS) 6900HX

    Hey. Is it still worth going for the 2021 model compared to the 6600s model?
    I can only get the WUXGA model before February, amazon has the older model with 2TB for around $80 more inclusive of taxes. So I am having trouble deciding. I can't game all that much and it's mostly gonna be for my studies. I can't make up my mind and tell my dad what to get on my own so I am asking for some advice. The other options like TUF A15 doesn't have a fingerprint reader, but I can get that one from mucrocenter for like $120 less, but would need to add another SSD just like if I get 6600s model of this from Lenovo.
    An advice would be much appreciated.

    Hey Ben I know you're not a laptop engineer but I recently came across your video on why you should get an i7-1260p without a dedicated gpu and i'm still baffled by how i7-1260p laptops with dgpus perform worse in battery life testing, irrespective of screen type and battery size. I mean the laptop runs on integrated graphics when doing the battery test, so what is causing i7-1260p dgpu laptops to have less battery life? Maybe it could be higher power limits, but the Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 manages to still get the best performance of an i7-1260p and still has excellent battery life. Something's not clicking here.
