    This worked like a gem! I noticed that my creami lid had a bad smell, and I lioteraly saw worms inside the lid beause of the residue.... This trick helped me out in cleaning it after use

    Wouldn't the springs in the lid rust?

      No issues on my lid, but I have filtered/soft water. These lids were meant to be exposed to moisture so I would believe they used galvanized or stainless springs.

    I use hottest tap water setting for daily clean. Weekly clean I use near boiling water and soak the lid in a big bowl with a coffee cup on top to hold the lid down under the hot water. I will run the creami with no ice cream or water in the cup, when the shaft comes down all the way I unplug the machine and then clean the shaft real good and let dry. Then plug it back in and it will pull the shaft back up without spinning the blades. You can see this last part on other creami cleaning videos if you want.

      How do you get the Creami pot thing off while the shaft is down? Seems impossible

      @Koutsimouka unplug it when the shaft is down just like I described. Other cleaning videos show this exact method

    You are a genius, wonder why ninja doesn’t explain this?

    Does this technique actually work or not

      Are you talking about using a water pik? If so, yes it does. When I first got the creami, all i did was clean the lid exterior. Then I noticed crud inside the lid. That is when I decided to take action and find a way to make sure it does not happen again. The water pik did the trick and since then no issues. Did not have to use the water pik again. Just made sure I flushed out in insides after every use.

    You don't remove the seal for cleaning

    • @rossishima
      @rossishima  7 месяцев назад

      Have not have to yet. If it gets cruddy will do, but pain to r&i it. On my lid, the seal is very tight, nothing under it yet.

    I got some frozen yogurt up in the hole where the drill goes on the deluxe upon it retracting. How do I get that out? And is it dangerous? Will it get out on my next run when the drill goes down you think? It naturally got up there when it was done with my second re-spin that had made the frozen yogurt really creamy, this making some of it go up with the drill. I did try and get a cloth up there, but the gap is just way too small! I've only had my deluxe for a week as it JUST came to Europe. I see crews, but I tdon't wanna take it apart.

      I do not think you have to worry. Though there is a gap between the drill and Creami, it is just a gap. Further back from the gap is where the drill enters the Creami. Wet towel it down would be fine. There is a squeegee action as the drill enters into the unit. You could put plain warm water into one of the containers and select slushi; letting the drill dip into the water and self clean. Anything that happens to get inside the Creami itself would remain inside the Creami and dry up. I called Ninja on this and they said not to worry.

    Poor design period.

    • @rossishima
      @rossishima  18 дней назад

      There is nothing wrong with the design. You have to clean it after using. I only had to use the water pik once, and that was my fault. The manual should have a section on proper cleaning and maintenance; there is no mention of this...leading to the issue on hand.
