I just bought one, the one in the middle on your video, and I was already thinking about how do you keep the shaft clean and this is best video I've seen on how to do it. Thanks.
For those of you who own a Water Pik or similar device: I remove the lid's gasket and submerge/soak the lid in vinegar and hot water solution. Then I fill my Water Pik with plain warm water, turn it on high, and place the nozzle up against the lid's various external holes and crevices. It injects a pulsing water jet at speeds high enough to dislodge everything.
Have you noticed with the breeze lid holding ice cream and water? There is no way i can find to take it apart. Unfortunately cleaning the small inside plastic piece doesnt seem to be enough and mine is starting to stink:( I havent tried soaking in hot soapy water yet, so i will give that a try. Thank you for the video!
The problem is getting into the bearing and clean and relubricate it as it that get stuck fairly quickly by stuff gotten pulled up withthe shaft.... Yes i have compleatly dissasemblemd mine to get to that bearing
I got some frozen yogurt up in the hole where the drill goes on the deluxe upon it retracting. How do I get that out? And is it dangerous? Will it get out on my next run when the drill goes down you think? It naturally got up there when it was done with my second re-spin that had made the frozen yogurt really creamy, this making some of it go up with the drill. I did try and get a cloth up there, but the gap is just way too small! I've only had my deluxe for a week as it JUST came to Europe. I see crews, but I tdon't wanna take it apart.
It’s incredible that being so expensive it is so hard to clean 😫 I love my ninja and use it every day but I’m so concerned about ice cream going on the inside.. definitely will give this a try! But how often should this be done? I’m a little scared it might break though 😢
This is a sure way to damage your machine and waste time. The shafts don’t get dirty enough to justify this kind of action. Plus, the shaft doesn’t even come into contact with your food-it runs down the centre. You can clearly see that the shafts aren’t dirty. I’ve been using mine for about six months, and there’s been no buildup at all.
Trying to decide which to buy and was particularly concerned with how they're cleaned. Perfect video!

Glad I could help
Ninja should just find a way to make these things easier to clean.

Do you also take out the ring on the lid and clean it? Did I miss that? Thanks!
sorry i missed that
What about inside the machine where the shaft goes up? Isn’t there debris in there?
6:14 Must have been deafening in your kitchen at this point lol.

While ice cream going into it will effect a roller bearing, the machine have enough power to just work anyway and the amout is miniscule.
My Ninja NC301, when I turn it on it doesn't retract and has a noise, what to do?
call ninja, it could have failed,
@@JustADad I live in Brazil, I bought it on Amazon, I will contact them. Thanks
strange. This morning I just plugged it in and it retracted. Thanks for the video 😊
