Cool. I just picked one up. You can also charge it over usb with a phone/tablet charging battery in an emergency. Also, this unit will charge (very slowly) as low as 3V, and it's normal for unit to rapidly lose it's charge over a period of days-as it is a property of capacitors (some people online got very upset about this thinking it functions just like a Li-Ion battery). One more thing, the unit lifespan is rated at 10 years and 100,000 discharges.
95% of the time, when you battery goes flat from age or neglect, there's still 10V or less to use the supercap boosters and you'll be up and running. Once you get your car started, it should charge itself if it can from the alternator and you can diagnose your battery properly at home or put it on a good charger overnight. It's that 5% that it may be below 1v or less where you would have to out smart the tool or "pre-charge" the booster or the battery or both. In that rare case, they you get out the jumper cables or call a roadside service that will get you up and going again. I think the supercaps are the way to go and keep one in all my cars since is very small and you can help others without taxing your own battery and alternator with jumper cables.

The battery on my Peugeot Boxer is under the floor and jump start terminals are positioned under the bonnet so that you don't have to remove the floor panel in the cab to get at the battery to attach jump leads. The distance between the under-bonnet terminals is 22 inches so my question is, are the alligator clamp leads long enough to clamp onto the terminals?
I think you first need to fit the new grille to get a proper view of it, but I would personally paint it black. Amazing what these capacitor units can achieve in such a short time ! Personally and like you, I have a number of cars I work on so I went for the noco jumpstart unit but I can see the application of the unit you reviewed. Top vid. 👍🏽😎

All the grill needs is Christmas led lights on flashing :D I think they fit more bigger cars like S5 .. the charger budget I know people find too expensive however most decent 2000a chargers now a days pass even £180 and they are really hot because apparently charge up even 8L diesel problem is who the hell drives one haha
Well presented Paul, I've got a similar piece of kit and they are very good to have in tool kit, although first time I've heard of how they work, simple and clever, I'd swap grill see how it looks if u dont like u could go piano black however how much chrome does car have outside as it may look out of place unless u can match other stuff

The Seat has a good battery so not really a true demonstration of the unit. . Like the black S3 grille better and I'd probably powder coat the original all black, except the badge, then relocate the plate to the lower left on the bumper. Seen a few Audis with that done and it adds a bit of aggressiveness. 🙂
Noticed the Seat Ibiza advert on ebay. You state in the description "I am trying to be as upfront as possible". Realy! There is no mention of it being a Cat N. I think you need to more honest with your adverts when you are selling these cars on. I've been a subscriber to the channel for quite a while now and watched most of your vlogs so I was rather disappointed in you to see the ebay advert.

Paul,to be honest I'm not a great fan of that grille,it looks a bit cheap and chatty in my opinion 😐,but you don't what it's like till you've actually got it 😊
This is the problem with Capacitor jump starters,if the battery is totally flat they are pretty much useless.I would much sooner charge up my MDC jump starter at home,it takes 5 hours but lasts for up to 6 months and will start a 5 litre petrol engine with a totally dead battery up to 20 times without recharging.
That grill looks bloody terrible Paul , and the charger is well over a working mans budget to spend on something like that . On a brighter note it’s the weekend 😂
A noco booster is a great tool to. I have the gb70, 2000a will start a diesel car even without the battery on the car, just the booster connected to the terminals. Halfords do them for around £130 with the trade discount. No waiting with the noco, just clip it on and it will start a tank.

i think you should keep the grille which is on already or just go for black. The silver would have looked better on a black s3 imo.
