I have a very specific memory of roller skating at a rink with my crush to this song. It was such an iconic song that was played over and over for years on top ten radio stations. It’s def a great prom or other sort of romantic songs. My fav romantic duo is With You I’m Born Again with Billy Preston and Syreeta. Very sweet song that was a hit from a not so memorable scene in a basketball movie with comedian, in a serious role, Gabe Kaplan called Fast Break. The song was the only memorable part of the movie as long as you didn’t watch the movie cuz Gabe Kaplan was not really a romantic lead actor so the song didn’t fit. But the song g was so great that it became a hit all on its own layer down the road. Do check it out if you haven’t already
Some other duo's you would enjoy are "Baby, Come To Me" by Patti Austin & James Ingram, "Endless Love" by Diana Ross & Lionel Ritchie, "Unforgettable" by Natalie Cole and her father Nat "King" Cole (you reacted to Nat's original solo but the two of them together, What a treat), "Tonight, I Celebrate My Love" by Roberta Flack & Peabo Bryson and a lost Gem "I Couldn't Say No" by Robert Ellis Orrall & Carlene Carter ( Daughter of June Carter Cash). Others have already mentioned "Saturday Love" by Cherrelle & Alexander O'neal ,"If This World Were Mine" by Tammi Terrell & Marvin Gaye, "You and I" by Crystal Gayle & Eddie Rabbit and "Somewhere Out There by Linda Ronstadt & James Ingram. 👍👍 To those also. "Shake Your Groove Thing" by Peaches & Herb is a faster dance song you would enjoy. Don't know if you two are already familiar with "Wait in the Truck" by Hardy & Lainey Wilson, "Picture" by Kid Rock & Sheryl Crow, "Whiskey Lullaby" by Brad Paisley & Alison Krauss or "Take Me Back Home Girl" by Chris Lane & Tori Kelly, if not another Big Yes for these Country duo's.
I haven't thought about this song in 'forever' and I didn't admit I liked it when I was a teen, but hearing it now is like a fresh breeze blowing out of my memory. Now that I'm all grown up, this is wonderful to hear!
It's amazing when I think of the songs that I grew up hearing and I just took for granted how awesome music was during this time and that it could always be like this and so magical. I'm grateful for you both for you to hear these songs so fresh and they remain as exciting as when they first came out.
There were several "Peaches" throughout the years. This one is Linda Green. The most significant other was Francine Barker (Let's Fall in Love). Edited, they were NOT a couple; but had great chemistry (like Marvin Gaye and Tammy Terrell) and it was all for show. He has been married to the same woman since 1959!! ❤. I think they were on Unsung (or some show) where his wife talks about her husband's career. Herb had great chemistry with Francine Batker too.

This was like the 7th Peach that Herb had but this was the most successful version. This cat loved some Peaches. 😂
Oh, yes! 'I Pledge My Love' and 'Shake Your Groove Thing' are also great.
❤❤❤
"I Wanna Get Next to You" by Rose Royce form the movie Car Wash is one worth checking out
Yes yes yes, Rose Royce, especially live...
While Disco was huge at this time, this beautiful love ballad was number 1 for 4 weeks.
This was our go-to slow dance song in the disco era! Thanks guys for bringing back the memories.
Saw them sing Reunited last year on RUclips. After all these years, you can still see the love they have for each other
The quintessential premiere song that would begin the foray into the unique sound that was the 1980s SLOW JAM.
This was my song back in the day!! Jay's face got red at the end. Lol I love you both!! ❤️❤️
Saw them in concert in DIsneyland , circa 1978 !!
Man, I absolutely wore my 8-track of P&H out!!!! Lol This brought back a lot of great memories! ❤
Jay and Amber, you were thinking about Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis You Don't Have to Be a Star
I haven't thought about this song in 'forever' and I didn't admit I liked it when I was a teen, but hearing it now is like a fresh breeze blowing out of my memory. Now that I'm all grown up, this is wonderful to hear!
Peaches and Herb "Reunited" is most certainly a PERFECT 100 out of 100...
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AND INCREDIBLE...a love song for all of human history!
This was my favorite song when I was little.
I remember when thus came out in the UK in 1979 I was 18 I loved this tune!
Back to my roller skating days on Saturday afternoons, when I was 10 years old. It was a couples' classic for years to come. Love this one!!
Big jukebox hit back in the day. I imagine there were LOTS of backseat goings on to this song.
Amber: You were thinking of Billy Davis Jr and Marilyn McCoo, you two did their song You Don't Have to Be A Star. ⭐
This song is soooo smooth & such an Old School classic!!! Luv me some Jay & Amber! Keep up the great work guys!!!
Ahh, 9th grade, lol! Good stuff! I still listen to this one and Shake Your Groove Thing. We played the latter in band, loads of fun to play. 😊
Such a beautiful classic from back in the day!!
I forgot how Good this song is!! Haven't heard it for soooo long!
I had this album! I used to roller skate around the whole house listening to this. Yes, I said roller skate not roller blade. This was always one of the couples skates at the rinks. Mna, they were so great!
This is the third of seven "Peaches". This was Linda Greene. She also sang "Shake Your Groove Thing" with Herb.
Peaches &Herb "close your eyes"
Can’t remember what I had for lunch yesterday but I damn sure remember every word to this one 🥰🥰🥰
