    There were many different Peaches over the years but only one Herb. To my knowledge he was never a couple with any of the girls that went by Peaches but they sure would make you believe they were. I remember as a kid seeing them perform on tv and when he started kissing her neck from behind I thought for sure they were married but they weren’t even a couple! Their voices were precise, smooth and so intoxicating. It’s a great song sang by great performers with great voices!❤

    "I Will Survive"
    Song by Gloria Gaynor
    {The song's lyrics describe the narrator's discovery of personal strength following an initially devastating breakup. The song is also frequently recalled as a symbol of female empowerment, as well as a disco staple.}
    {Although Gaynor was convinced that "I Will Survive" would be a hit and tried to persuade the label to release it as the A side, the label refused to entertain the idea and it was released as the B-side to "Substitute". Gaynor's husband took the song to the Studio 54 DJ Richie Kaczor, who loved it. Gaynor gave Kaczor a stack of the records to give to his friends. Other DJs in discos and radio stations soon followed and played that side of the record instead. The popularity of "I Will Survive" led to the label releasing the song as an A side. To support the single, a video shot at Xenon Discotheque in New York was released.}

This is Linda Greene who had the huge hits in the 70's. "Shake your Groove thing", "Reunited" and 'Pledge my Love". This song Reunited was a sequel to "We'll be United" recorded by another great soul group called The Intruders. Both written by Freddie Perren and Dino Ferkaris. Several women have filled the role of Peaches over the years. The woman in this track is Linda Greene who was the third woman to be Peaches (1976-1983). Herb is Herb Fame born Herbert Feemster.

    SO excited for this. This was one of the earliest 45's that I bought when I was young. BUT, I ended up falling in love with the B Side of it. "Easy as Pie". OMG. GREAT SONG. I would LOVE if you guys reacted to it.

    This group started in the 1960s, but the Peaches was different from this one. The original one left the music business. The version of the group here (with Linda Greene as Peaches) is the most commercially successful one

    Peaches & Herb was Herb Fame with seven different women filling the role of "Peaches" since the “duo” was first created in 1966. Linda Greene Tavani was the third "Peaches", who appeared on Reunited, which hit #1 in 1979 and their other biggest hit Shake Your Groove Thing earlier the same year. Not sure if these two were ever involved romantically, but they sure sizzle! Be sure to check out Shake Your Groove Thing for a completely different yet totally catchy song!

    I have a very specific memory of roller skating at a rink with my crush to this song. It was such an iconic song that was played over and over for years on top ten radio stations. It’s def a great prom or other sort of romantic songs. My fav romantic duo is With You I’m Born Again with Billy Preston and Syreeta. Very sweet song that was a hit from a not so memorable scene in a basketball movie with comedian, in a serious role, Gabe Kaplan called Fast Break. The song was the only memorable part of the movie as long as you didn’t watch the movie cuz Gabe Kaplan was not really a romantic lead actor so the song didn’t fit. But the song g was so great that it became a hit all on its own layer down the road. Do check it out if you haven’t already

    Some other duo's you would enjoy are "Baby, Come To Me" by Patti Austin & James Ingram, "Endless Love" by Diana Ross & Lionel Ritchie, "Unforgettable" by Natalie Cole and her father Nat "King" Cole (you reacted to Nat's original solo but the two of them together, What a treat), "Tonight, I Celebrate My Love" by Roberta Flack & Peabo Bryson and a lost Gem "I Couldn't Say No" by Robert Ellis Orrall & Carlene Carter ( Daughter of June Carter Cash). Others have already mentioned "Saturday Love" by Cherrelle & Alexander O'neal ,"If This World Were Mine" by Tammi Terrell & Marvin Gaye, "You and I" by Crystal Gayle & Eddie Rabbit and "Somewhere Out There by Linda Ronstadt & James Ingram. 👍👍 To those also. "Shake Your Groove Thing" by Peaches & Herb is a faster dance song you would enjoy. Don't know if you two are already familiar with "Wait in the Truck" by Hardy & Lainey Wilson, "Picture" by Kid Rock & Sheryl Crow, "Whiskey Lullaby" by Brad Paisley & Alison Krauss or "Take Me Back Home Girl" by Chris Lane & Tori Kelly, if not another Big Yes for these Country duo's.

    It's amazing when I think of the songs that I grew up hearing and I just took for granted how awesome music was during this time and that it could always be like this and so magical. I'm grateful for you both for you to hear these songs so fresh and they remain as exciting as when they first came out.

    There were several "Peaches" throughout the years. This one is Linda Green. The most significant other was Francine Barker (Let's Fall in Love). Edited, they were NOT a couple; but had great chemistry (like Marvin Gaye and Tammy Terrell) and it was all for show. He has been married to the same woman since 1959!! ❤. I think they were on Unsung (or some show) where his wife talks about her husband's career. Herb had great chemistry with Francine Batker too.
