Oh God, yes! Not just a brilliant song, the video is a perfect example of a bad relationship where a jealous man tries to sabotage his girlfriend’s career. The boyfriend is played by a young Steven Bauer. Just magnificent!

You should see her live performance with David Bowie under pressure that is phenomenal and walking on broken glass her range is phenomenal. I’m glad you’re doing more Annie Lennox. As always, Amber, you look phenomenal.
The rehearsal video of Under Pressure of Annie & David for the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert is in someways even better than the concert footage itself. You have David smoking a cigarette throughout, the nods and looks between David & Brian and stood at the side of the stage singing throughout is George Michael. It’s raw and it’s brilliant.
"Avant-garde" is the perfect word Amber, even way back in the 80's, She was considered ahead of her time. Be well my friends PS. more Supertramp please.

This song and "A Whiter Shade of Pale" are both off her album "Medusa," which is all covers. The other track from "Medusa" that I absolutely adore is "Waiting In Vain," originally by Bob Marley and the Wailers.
"No More 'I Love You's'" is a song written by British musicians David Freeman and Joseph Hughes and recorded by them as the Lover Speaks. It was released in June 1986 as the lead single from their self-titled debut album. The song was covered by the Scottish singer Annie Lennox and became a commercial success for her in 1995, reaching number two on the UK Singles Chart.

Absolutely! Her covers on this album are bomb. I was working in a music store at the time and of course it was in our CD carousel as a new release. The spin she put on her versions and her rich voice totally stands alone. It's almost like you can't put too much music behind her because her voice is enough. Beautiful!!
I've been a Lennox fan since I can remember! For Female Friday - please consider her Anthem "Sisters are Doin' It For Themselves" with Aretha Franklin - it's an 80's Banger!!! Also, Annie's songs "Little Bird" - "Precious" - "Cold" - and "Money Can't Buy It" (most songs from her masterpiece album "DIVA" are worth a listen!) - keep smiling y'all
At the end of a relationship myself, this song brought it on for me too. I hope that you are tipping around, it’s the best we can hope for in the first year. There is life after love, not so good but life nonetheless. We were lucky to make good memories ❤
Goodness me if they want to hear Annie in a killer duet they need to do her performance of " Under Pressure" with none other than Bowie at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert at Wembly. There's a tranche of remarkable songs from that night that just soared.
I LOVE this song from Annie. A long time fan of Eurythmics and her solo work, but this song quickly became my favorite, closely followed by "Little Bird".
I'll never forget the very first time I listened to this song. I was back in 1995, one afternoon in September in my home town Bolivia I was going to see my then girlfriend (she's my wife now) and I had my walkman and suddenly this started on the radio... My mind was blown away and instantly became one of my Annie's favorites if not the one...

It's tied between this and Love Song For A Vampire as my favorite Annie Lennox song. Just phenomenal musically, atmospherically, dramatically, and moving.

As much as I love this version, I still don't think you can beat the 1986 original from 'The Lover Speaks'. Lead singer was David Freeman and I think this songs works better with a male vocal.
Annie wrote most of their lyrics. Dave actually told a story of how any time she borrowed his coat he would get it back and there would be napkins and gum wrappers in it that she has written ideas for song lyrics on.
It is a great song and one of the reasons why Annie wanted to record it, she didn't feel it got the recognition the song deserved when it was originally released by The Lover Speaks. It helped revive the original and get more recognition to David Freeman and Joseph Hughes.
Totally agree. With Sam Brown you can add the two magic words to Amber of Pink Floyd as she was the first of the three singers in the awesome live version of"Great Gig in the Sky" in the 1994 Pulse concert and she did backing vocals on "The Division Bell" album. "Perfect" is definitely worth it too to quote from the song.
Annie is pure art. Those who know her work have her in their top ten of all time. Her voice is so powerful and the art that surrounds her work is magical. Nothing but love for Annie Lennox.
Into the West from the LoTR soundtrack is one of the most beautiful songs. It won the Academy Award for Best Original Song and a Grammy for Best Song for Visual Media. Annie Lennox is a force of Nature.
