I love the way the kid sticks his hand down the hole, pulls the gopher out, then says he's going to show it to his mom. He's actually a really good big brother, trying to teach his little brother the right way to do things in kind ways.

Just came across this video while researching gopher traps and that made my day.
I just bought my first Gopher Hawk and the same thing happened to me. . . .the yellow was showing and I pulled the trap up only to find it empty. I was too chicken to put my hand down the hole just in case the gopher was only injured (and angry). Jack did it bare-handed. What a sweet, confident and social kid (and a good big brother).
Good catch! Jack, you are brave for sticking your hand down in that hole and getting the gopher out!

💪💪💪. Your brother really showed off his muscle pulling that trap out of ground. The look on his face was priceless. He was looking for comfort and what to do but instead I believe you were just as shocked as we were and could only laugh. You both will make a great team as you have hunting experiences together. Not sure if I’d have put my hand down in that hole. My dog had a chunk of lip taken off digging for a gopher than later a mole.
