If you messed up while arranging your workspace and you need to set it to default do this-
Window>workspace>Reset to default
*Caution! if you do this to your old workspace it will be reset.*
if you still didn't understand what i said then do this -
12:03 follow his instructions but instead of clicking on register workspace click on *Reset to Default*
Btw thx for this video :)

Thanks so much for this! I was frustrated with figuring out the workspace, and this made it very clear.
thank you for this video!!! It really helped me as I was waaaaaay more confused and overwhelmed than I should be but this helped me tons! Also this was the only video in the whole web that actually talked about removing the dang timeline window out of my face >
This video is underrated as hell, thanks a lot! Very helpful, I got nervous with so many elements in my screen lol

You rlly made my day :)
Something I highly recommend for everyone with Samsung tablets or phone. You can use your phone as a remote with palette, brushes etc since the later versions of clip studio. EXTREMELY useful and few seem to know about it. So far only available for Samsung.
how?
you saved my life
thank you, i deleted my brush tool and its been 3 days without being able to chose any brush besides the default
I learn clip studio by using couple tool. In 2 week i learn whole only by myself. i mean i know how use only inportant tool for me. Offcourse my 1st program was Photoshop so learning clip studio was like a walk :3
Very epic and very useful, if I could pay you I would
Ok so it seems like you have to go to Material Download now. then after you download your workspace or brush, you go to the download tab and can drag and drop the thing you downloaded on the canvas
When I was using a trial version, I've found that I barely have to do that and the one place where I would actually want to move stuff around, I really can't. I'm talking about that sidebar with comic pages when editing a comic project - would love to move it to a tab or something so that I get more canvas space, but there seems to be no way to do it.
Great tutorial! Is there a way to snap the workspace to fit the computer screen? On my Mac the pallet windows don't stay the same size. I've locked the pallet height and width with no luck. Not sure what else to try. Thanks!
I've used CSP on Mac at my workplace, but the way the interface works there feels weirdly different from the Windows version. I'm not sure I understand your problem exactly, but what I have done to combat an issue of the window locations resetting in size and location is to save a Workspace after I've adjusted the size and location to how I want them. And then I have to reload that Workspace after opening CSP. Afterwards, I still also need to move the main file viewer window. But it still saves some effort.
14:52 maybe your Scale Interface is 150%..
You can change the Interface in Display setting.. Click the Cintiq Monitor and go to Scale and Layout and make it 100%.. All the Programs will become totally fit just like your main Monitor
Hmm..It seems like the Material (material) is gone...? not sure how to upload a workspace :(
Okay but is there a way to keep the windows of clip studio to open on the second computer monitor? Every time I open clip studio on my mac, its going to just open on my main screen instead of the second monitor I have set up.
Yeah, I have that issue at work too. I know there will be a change to how windows function in OSX in an upcoming update. I'm hoping this will help, though I don't know for sure.
My current workaround is to arrange the windows on the second monitor, save this as a workspace, and then, if the position of windows changes after a restart or whatever, I select [Window] > [Workspace] > [Reload "(name of your workspace)"]. This resets the windows to be on the correct monitor and is less of a hassle than moving things manually. Hope it helps!
does anyone know how to make the menu text larger?
One option is going to File > Preferences > Interface and selecting "Adjust interface for touch operations", then selecting the "Large" Interfact Scaling option. Another option (maybe less applicable) is changing your actual screen resolution to a smaller one so that the text is displayed bigger.
"this is the default clip studio paint workspace" 1:20
Me when I first opened it up: *can't find the thumbnail, and the color wheel isn't visible unless you click on a button* ;-;
I have one question what can I do if I've made an mistake in rearranging my workspace how can I undo it? Is there a shortcut? I tried STRG and Z but it won't do it. Please help 🙏.
Unfortunately, you cannot undo window rearrangement. Your best options are trying to manually show a window that you might have closed again (usually by going to the Window menu, and activating it again), or to fully reset to default by going to Window > Workspace > Reset to Default. Keep in mind that it's useful to "register" your workspace in the same menu (Window > Workspace) once you have something you like, before you experiment with a different layout. That way, you can revert easily if you make a mistake. I hope this helps (or at least helps in the future...)!
@@simondrawsstuff Thanks for answering my question and for trying to help me out. I ' ll give it a try 😉.
new update is ruining my life! for example there no shortcut for vector layer in my palette so i had no choice go to edit and select new layer for vector layer.. how to restore the previous setting?
Hmm I just updated to the newest version (1.10.13) and I'm still seeing the Add Vector Layer shortcut in the layer window. Which version are you using, and on what platform?
I don't have material [material]... How am I gonna find what I want?
Maybe depending on what asset you've downloaded, you won't have that specific menu option. Just click through a couple of the other Material options that are available. You might also find it under "Material [Download]". Hope that helps.
Hello , I am a beginner. I encountered this bit of problem. You see i have clip studio paint 1.11 Ex and there is no color wheel visible to me. I checked all possible to know where the color wheel is but can't find it. There is a color palate. Can you please tell where can I get color wheel
You should be able to see the "Color Wheel" option under the "Window" menu.
@@simondrawsstuff Thank you!
Help I deleted my tool bar and all I can use is blend but I have no brush
If your entire [Tool Bar] is gone, go to the top menu, and select [Window] > [Tool]. If only the [Brush] tool is gone from your [Tool Bar], select the three lines menu icon on the top right of your [Tool Bar] > [Add from Default...]. In this window, select [Brush] and [OK]. Hope this helps!
Help I’m desperate I didn’t know where my brushes go and everything is messy how do I fix this?! And set everything back to normal I’m gonna cry
Go to the menu option "Window" > "Workspace" > "Reset to Default".
@@simondrawsstuff thanks I found out yesterday ahh I was so desperate but you’re so kind for helping others ❤️
How do you get the command bar and menu bar back on iPad? I hid it now I can’t get it back
Try this: ask.clip-studio.com/en-us/detail?id=17758
@@simondrawsstuff Thank you so much! It worked!!
U helped a lot! Have a nice day, and ur vid was rlly great btw! :)
All my brushes are gone 😪 idk how to fix
Without knowing what led to this happening I'm not sure if there's any way I can help
Hooooww to showw that damn tools?
I cant find my laso on it
Damn
Assuming the tool is genuinely missing for you, here's all the steps you might need to take:
Open the "Window" > "Tool" window if you don't already have it active. Here, click the burger menu in the top left (the three lines). Select "Add from default...". Select "Selection area" and click OK. Open the "Window" > "Sub Tool" window (if it's not already active). Here, you can choose the "Lasso" tool.
Alternatively, if you followed this but do not see the "Lasso" tool in there, you might have (accidentally/unintentionally) removed it. In that case, click the burger menu in the "Sub Tool" window and select "Add from default...". Look for "Selection area" and expand it by clicking it. Now select "Lasso" and press "Add".
Hope that helps.
i just got clipstudio but it didnt come with that default u had and idk how to set that up owo
Hmm, maybe they changed the default setup in a new update since I recorded the video? I would suggest just finding an alternative layout on the asset store!
@@simondrawsstuff yes they did! my 4 head didn’t realize i could move to the right 💀
Hi. Got the same issue here. Mine doesn't have Quick Access in the Window toolbar. Still don't know how to fix it lol.
@@ScrapghostAL So the option is just straight up missing from the "Window" menu? It's the fourth option here for me. Which version of CSP are you using? I'm using 1.10.5 of CSP Pro.
how do i save my workspace?
Select the menu "Window" > "Workspace" > "Register Workspace". You can then choose between "registered"/saved workspaces under "Window" > "Workspace" where they should show up. Alternatively, choose "Manage Workspaces" and you can select them from there, too.
Please I accidentally hide my menu bar. How to show it again T-T
You probably pressed Shift+Tab on accident. Pressing it again should do the trick.
I think my clipstudio is fubared. Every tool takes up the whole height of the screen so I can't put tool property and sub tool on the same column
Hmm, that sounds strange. I'm not sure if I can identify what the issue is based on that description alone, but it might be worth trying to just go to "Window > Workspace > Reset to Default" and start over.
Can this run on Ubuntu?
no clue, I've never used Ubuntu. A quick search does turn up some tutorial videos on how to do it though, so seems like it could work.
Do what I do. Just hit tab. When you need the tools hit tab. When you dont need the tools hit tab.
Yeah, that's very helpful if you have a lot of windows open on a smaller screen! I do that a lot on my Surface Pro.
WTF is a "commoned" bar? 🤣
"command" bar
How do I hide the timeline portion??
Go to "Window > Timeline" and if it's active, it should now be deactivated.
Alternatively, you can also click the burger menu icon (the three lines) next to the "Timeline" tab in the window, and select "Hide Timeline palette" there.
@@simondrawsstuff ahh lovely! It worked tysmmm!!!! ✨
How do I get a navigation window like that? Yk that shows the whole canvas on the side
"Window > Navigator"
