@@Khn_2102 when drawing the eyes. I realized this very early on when I was working on an art project at my school and visitors came up to me and saw me using Scotch tape on my acrylic painting to get sharp edges. They looked at me stupidly and asked if that was allowed. And at that moment, it "clicked." I hadn't even thought about whether that was cheating and that's when I realized that you should never do that. In art you do what you enjoy and you can take the easiest way to reach your goal. if you're on an ipad, get Procreate!! hands down the best drawing app on ios devices, it's just a one time 10$ fee for a program that's on par with Photoshop and clip studio
i would agree with otaku-chan, procreate is super user friendly and everything is shaved down so you're not overwhelmed and can just focus on learning and getting comfy with that. there's also toooooons of tutorials so that's nice too, then when you are comfortable and confident you can choose another program with stronger features to go wild in.
With the color pallet trick, I make my pallet then on a new layer set to color blend mode with a low opacity I wash the pallet with the "vibe" color as a clipping mask then merge those two layers same effect but it keeps the contrast of the original colors. Where just lowering the opacity as you did will lower the contrast of your pallet
I didnt know that we had a lasso fill in csp .Thanks for the enclose and fill tool as well it's much more better then the other version that I was using that wasn't compatible with low opacity lines
Hi Kooleen! I just wanted to say thank you for being so beginner friendly! I’m in the beginning of my digital art(and art in general having done only sketches on paper before) journey and have watched a lot of ‘teaching da for beginners’ videos but i’ve always felt like I can’t apply their advice to my art because of lack of any formal education in art. I’ve always felt like in order to draw I have to know something I don’t and I couldn’t even tell what it was. But once I’ve stumbled upon your channel my art has become so much better. You encouraged me to switch from paint tool sai to csp and I finished my first digital illustration the day I downloaded csp using the brushes you recommended ( I’ve never finished my illustrations before because midway I didn’t like how it was turning out and it demotivated me to finish it). Thank you for making digital art world look less dense and hostile.❤️
