Honestly when it comes to art the ends justify the means. Use whatever methods, techniques, and shortcuts you can that makes the process easier for you, it's not wrong or cheating at all, and you're not lazy for that either. Not sure if I understand your question, but if I do, all you have to do is go to the tool properties for the flat brush and decrease the texture density, this will make your strokes more visible if that’s what you were going for. Hope that helps! ❤😊
