bitch shut up.. Untitled was TERRIBLE. OD underrated, TPAB WAS TERRIBLE. GKMC perfection DAMN pperfect Section 80 is great. Black Panther was a good poppy album. Stop the amping please
ScottyMuzik tpab wont he his masterpiece. I dont Think his done getting better to be honest. For me gkmc and tpab are Best but damn is really close for sure, same goes for section 80
He’s one of the best album creators in rap history for me, easily top 5, maybe only second to Pac or Jigga. I really like TPAB but GKMC is my fav from him, Alright is my fav track by him.
Cormel Feliciano well they beat him simply because of the amount of time jay z, Tupac, etc. has impacted the culture with their music. On a mainstream level, Kendrick is young in the game despite actually being a rapper for maybe 10+ years, but only receiving mainstream exposure in 2012. He could easily be the GOAT in 10 years if his discography maintains this consistent critically and commercially. TPAB was more his person project. I believe it’s “one for me, one for you” beginning with section 80. Meaning this next album will defo be a passion project. I can’t wait! Just hope it does the numbers TPAB deserved
I think thats his masterpiece to this date. I think greater is yet to come lol im sure Ye fans was saying "It dont get no better than College Dropout" then that MBDTF came out and fucked the world lmao
You can throw on TPAB when you just chilling or driving. The soundtrack behind Kendrick is so damn, lush and sexy, how any can say it has no reply value is absolutely buggin!
Commandosoap777 well critically the Grammy's had to make up for the GKMC snubs. As far as fan wise how many are still bumping this. It was a prisoner of the moment album. BLM and cops straight up murdering black men, TPAB just hit at the right moment climate wise. I don't think the album would've been as loved if say it switched releases with GKMC
Masna ya dig I'm comparing them because it's that good. I didn't say it was better. It reminded me of me against the world. It gave me the same feeling as me against the world. So what are you talking about?
I can put on TPAB before drake. That album had a lot of replays. Momma, complexion, Dont gotta lie, free, hood politics, These Walls, Wesly theory, alright, king kunta, U, how much a dollar cost and mortal man and institutionalized
And so is wayno when talking about drake (because he doesn’t want to hurt his buddy push). But he’s out here dickriding teyana, cassanova and the carters.
To pimp a butterfly is one of the highest universally acclaimed projects of all time, is being archived in Harvard, got kendrick the key to Compton, is the highest Grammy nominated/winning album since thriller, went platinum, got praise from the president, was played in protests and rallies, inspired prince, David Bowie, and other non hiphop artists/legends, and more Anyone who claims tpab isn’t a classic is objectively wrong and too pretentiously stupid to admit they didn’t get the project
they should freestyles cause this subject doesn’t feel forced but it feels like to me wasn’t apart of the schedule just a “ok .. here’s a topic, do this”. Just don’t get to personal and keep it on hip hop.
To me Section 80 is a classic but on a different scale.. That album was amazing, and on an underground level had a great impact. I guess classics affect the culture as a whole, so GKMC and TPAB are amazing albums n classic
I ain't mad at it, it's never been done and this is a good subject. He's had an incredible run looking back at it, he's a Hall Of Fame rapper for sure, one of the greats no doubt.
Every album since section 80 is a classic. Easy. People that don’t like TPAB is ok. The album is beyond special but it’s just not for everyone and that’s ok. GKMC is undeniable and Damn is a classic already too.
As a Kendrick Stan it’s goes Section 80 GKMC TPAB DAMN OD But tbh GKMC is the best one and TPAB a close second I’ve just listened to section 80 so much it’s my favorite.
wow im with you. section 80 made me listen to rap music again and GKMC blew my mind. TPAB is a grower and DAMN was some shit for the hypebeasts to jump on the bandwagon. Overly dedicated sounds off though - he hadnt really found his voice, I feel like it. Kendrick Stan 4 life
Tavrosh I felt that Damn was Kendrick’s mainstream Section 80 the style and flows were very similar but you can tell the budget was grandiose when he was making DAMN
Right, he might say some stupid shit (or word it stupid as it makes sense) but his discography is fucking insane, hes one of the best producers and musicians of all time, and if he died tommorow everyone who talks shit would suck his dick
Reuben Frank thats so fucking right. The only artist in the hip hop community i see who have a chance getting as great as kanye is kendrick, he just needs to give it time because his up there aswell. For me its: 1. Kanye 2. Kendrick 3. Pac 4. Outkast 5. A tribe called quest 6. Kid cudi 7. Lil Wayne 8. Nas 9, eminem 10. Outlawz
Jens Verner For me it’s 1.Tupac 2.Biggie 3. Nas 4. Jay-Z 5. Eminem 6. Kendrick Lamar 7. J. Cole 8. Kanye West 9. Rakim 10. Ice Cube (underrated) Ps. I was gonna put Drake at 6,7 or 8 but I don’t feel like arguing today 😂. For me he’d definitely be in one of those spots based off of longevity, versatility, charisma and discography.
Cormel Feliciano i dont know if i Think drake deserves a spot in a top 10 list but his very close. He is the one rapper who always have a lot of singles. He makes the summer Music Sound so much better. So im not really arguing about you having him in that list. To be honest he probably deserve a spot Well idk
just like top dawg said tpab is his best album! I can't believe y'all wanna praise it now but when it came out y'all was shitting on the production and calling it boring smh
amen plus so many layers not album you can appreciate with couple listens.Aye also bro we just start a RUclips, we discuss / debate hip hop topics. Just two friends that love hip hop. .
When I first heard section 8.0 I was in prison and hot 9.7 played the entire album and I was trippen so hard! Like Damn real hip-hop on the radio... I was fucking hyped! I asked my blood homie at breakfast did he hear it last night and we were both like "this is my new favorite rapper" shit is crazy!
A classic album documents a time in a person’s life that have most memorable moments. I say that to say WU-TANG FOREVER is no doubt a classic double album🎶!! But this new Drake album is growing on me. I’m liking more songs everyday to early to judge!! Ratchet Happy Birthday goes hard!!
TPAB is a classic album. You guys are tripping. I’m from LA and people still playing that album. You have to be from the west to understand the vibe, and music, that is in this album. I think it is better then Damn personally.
Hard asf, Kendrick has a better track record because he hasn’t fucked up yet. I feel like he needs to get 6-8 albums deep for there to be a comparison. Going off their 1st 4 I’d say Kanye though...but if you factor in Yeezus, Pablo & Ye it brings his overall avg down a bit 💯
Uh no thats not it bud, Kanye had more impact with one album than Kendrick had or will have with all of his. Kendrick has one of the best rap albums of all time but Kanye has one of the best albums of all time on all genres.
z7513 Might be a location thing. Because when pimp the butterfly when it came out where I am from I only heard people play king kunta, I had to listen to it myself and it was boo boo to me. Idk to each there own Maybe that shit was made for you west coast folks.🤷♂️
Good kid maad city is his best album. To pimp a butterfly is his most layered and best piece of art. But I don't love every song and it can be hard to listen to.
TPAB IS ONE OF THE BEST ALBUMS IN MUSIC LET ALONE RAP/HIP-HOP. all his music though is sensational... btw for all his "hits" and good songs my favourite kendrick song is still KING KUNTA.
GKMC - was my first introduction to Kendrick. I've been a STAN eversince, Kendrick can do no wrong in my eyes, I purchase every album after, and all of his music got to me in more ways than one. Thank you Mr. Lamar
jpkp012345 fact ! And then I think the premise of the show is the people that’s trending is what they speak on smh ! They had nipsey there and wanted to ask him about tekashi while son got a album out sucker shit
I’m like Kendrick’s biggest Stan, and personally I’d say GKMC TPAB Section 80 DAMN But they’re all 9.3 or better to me. The whole overall flow and story of GKMC is genius and perfect and no song is skippable. GKMC is a definitely a classic. I think all the other albums are fan classics
Kendrick lamar albums are great but, when he performs on stage it's amazing. Especially when he performed at the Grammy Awards with Imagine Dragons. I think that's when everyone started paying attention.
To Pimp a Butterfly is a masterpiece, so it’s number one without a doubt, then it’s Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City right after, which is good (a classic, obviously), but it’s not on the same level as TPAB. After that I think it gets more subjective. Personally I place DAMN. over Section .80, but I can see how someone might do the opposite just as easily. I stand by what Thundercat said when it comes to Untitled Unmastered: it completes the sentence of TBAP. So I don’t feel right pitting it against Kendrick’s more commercial, more fleshed out projects, since albums like DAMN., while related to what came before it, aren’t trying to extend the reach of the previous release so much as they’re trying to build on top of it.
kendrick takes the stories from his city...the feeling of his city and put it to rhythm in ways many wish they could...the dude is blessed with it..period
well maybe but i just really admire tpab uniqueness with the jazz vibes and especially my favorite song of all time u and gkmc still have that pop sound
Cormel Feliciano I disagree as feel it’s impact on social culture is why most consider it a classic. Everyone I talk to say it’s not as good musically as his other works which I would personally disagree with.
Cormel Feliciano Not true. Since TPAB people started making either blacker or more militant music revolving around our current political climate. Ex. Lemonade, 4.44, Awaken my Love, All American Badass, blkswn.
One of the best episodes since Joe left. A serious, insightful and interesting discussion with none of the fuckery or forced topics. Evergreen everyday struggle episodes with these three is a good direction for this show to go
HAHA HAHA Ikr. To me it's nothing but smooth shit. (Excluding u and Blacker the Berry of course) Stuff like King Kunta is some vintage Dj Quik shit. I mean the into to Hood Politics could easily be Quik's groove 9, 10, or whatever he hasn't done yet. If this is a hard listen then I can't imagine how they'd get through an actual p funk album. I guess that's how it is when your D'Voidoffunk.
Lord Jugga tbh I enjoyed it more as time went on. It's not really the instrumentation it's his voice on some of the tracks. He was abit too creative with it and abit too high pitched which is why some tracks like for free for example are hard to listen to. It's his best piece of art easily. But you have to be in a certain mood atleast for me. But in terms of concept lyrically production poetry execution it's probably the best rap album I've ever heard. Good kid is way more enjoyable though and also a phenomenal concept album.
OD = Great mixtape S80 = Great album GKMC = CLASSIC TPAB = CLASSIC (Arguably his best) UU = Good project DAMN. = CLASSIC Black Panther soundtrack = Great album. Kendrick the 🐐 of this generation so far
To Pimp a Butterfly has more replay value than any rap album Ive ever heard imo. Gets better and better, with every listen I find something new I enjoy.
1. TPAB (Masterpiece + Classic)
2. GKMC (Classic)
3. DAMN. (Classic + PULITZER WINNER)
4. Section.80 (great album)
5. Untitled Unmastered (great project)
6. Overly Dedicated (great project)
7. Black Panther Soundtrack (good project)
Nikhil Bhagat looks like a good top 7 forreal , I agree

bitch shut up.. Untitled was TERRIBLE. OD underrated, TPAB WAS TERRIBLE. GKMC perfection DAMN pperfect Section 80 is great. Black Panther was a good poppy album. Stop the amping please
SoleFul You are a disgrace to the culture.
SoleFul TPAB is great, you’re just ignorant
TPAB is his masterpiece. But he released it too early, people weren’t ready. Even he doesn’t enjoy it like I do, it’s still perfect.

I definitely agree, I hope he does maintain album quality bc that'll be the best 5 album run ever.
I think thats his masterpiece to this date. I think greater is yet to come lol im sure Ye fans was saying "It dont get no better than College Dropout" then that MBDTF came out and fucked the world lmao
Section 80 more like a cult classic. GKMC and TPAB are classics to me. Damn needs time

You can throw on TPAB when you just chilling or driving. The soundtrack behind Kendrick is so damn, lush and sexy, how any can say it has no reply value is absolutely buggin!
These fools acting like tpab isnt one of the most critically and user acclaimed albums ever lmao
Commandosoap777 well critically the Grammy's had to make up for the GKMC snubs. As far as fan wise how many are still bumping this. It was a prisoner of the moment album. BLM and cops straight up murdering black men, TPAB just hit at the right moment climate wise. I don't think the album would've been as loved if say it switched releases with GKMC
popetaytv
I still listen and a lot of other people do too.
popetaytv I still listen to it from front to back.
Commandosoap777 zero replay value
popetaytv respectable but disagree. I know tons of ppl that still love it including me
TPAB is this generation Me Against The World. TPAB is a classic and personally no album haven't been better since it dropped
Masna ya dig I'm comparing them because it's that good. I didn't say it was better. It reminded me of me against the world. It gave me the same feeling as me against the world. So what are you talking about?

O. W. I feel the same way
Exactly in that order
This
Said the same thing to myself when I read the title.
O. W. I disagree. It I don’t hate the opinion. Damn has grown on me so much. Originally I didn’t think it was one of his best works
TPAB IS A CLASSIC
@j r u dumb asf

I can put on TPAB before drake. That album had a lot of replays. Momma, complexion, Dont gotta lie, free, hood politics, These Walls, Wesly theory, alright, king kunta, U, how much a dollar cost and mortal man and institutionalized
GodStephon Exactly. People be bugging when they say it doesn't have replay value.
Thank you. But tbh I really like the album for its sound, as I am an admirer of jazz, funk and soul
R K that's one of the reasons I like it.
PatsDynasty damn shame. The 2 radio songs. I'm speaking on lyrical replay. The songs I mentioned his lyrics are quazy
GodStephon ok good lyrics not the only things that make a classic if that’s the case Montana of 300 has a few classics lmao
Akademiks seems sooo out of his element talking about Kendrick. Get back to talking about Drake so he can get some energy
TriniKidNYC 😂 he looks uncomfortable
His best friend is 6ix9ine.. his opinion isn’t valid in these conversations.
He doesnt know how to talk about artists lile kendrick which is why hip hop heads don't respect him
And so is wayno when talking about drake (because he doesn’t want to hurt his buddy push). But he’s out here dickriding teyana, cassanova and the carters.
he seems better than wayno. he said tpab wasn't a classic, but DAMN was. I was actually surprised ak would be the one to defend TPAB
Why akademiks built like akademiks?
Because he works out akademically...
He was flexin his right arm the whole time 😂 #youevenliftbro
To pimp a butterfly is one of the highest universally acclaimed projects of all time, is being archived in Harvard, got kendrick the key to Compton, is the highest Grammy nominated/winning album since thriller, went platinum, got praise from the president, was played in protests and rallies, inspired prince, David Bowie, and other non hiphop artists/legends, and more
Anyone who claims tpab isn’t a classic is objectively wrong and too pretentiously stupid to admit they didn’t get the project
Degenerett Retweet
To Pimp A Butterfly is his best album hands down. Complexion, Momma, Blacker the Berry, Hood Politics, How Much A Dollar Cost. His best album by far.
Naw GKMC. Sing about me dying of thrust ,Money tree, GK, MC, all of them basically
Abdulmajid Salleh GKMC can be played, top to bottom, without a single skip. TPAB has skips in it
scipio2009 no it doesn’t, every songs on TPAB is amazing
Kendrick been on his Hebrew Israelites. A lot of people don't catch that
GodStephon yeah it flys right over there heads. It clearly a central idea in DAMN but no body ever talks about it
Shit it's inevitable to miss being from L.A. shit they all up and down Crenshaw screaming at niggas
Marty Mcfly he mentions it a few times in TPAB too.
Cause the shits catchy lol
Ye Damn had quite a few references but most people didn’t catch them at all
Instead of forcing subjects... I think they should just free style it
Barber Shop/Beauty salon style...
Rich Harrow ye but they need something to make the title interesting, therefore attracting new viewers
they should freestyles cause this subject doesn’t feel forced but it feels like to me wasn’t apart of the schedule just a “ok .. here’s a topic, do this”. Just don’t get to personal and keep it on hip hop.
Rich Harrow it wouldn't be professional. Anyone can do that
...so basically you want it to be like the Joe Budden Podcast?
Agreed
TPAB is Kendricks best album. It was un-apologetically west coast. Both GKMC and TPAB are his classics.
SEC.80 CLASSIC
GKMC CLASSIC
TPAB CLASSIC
DAMN GREAT ALBUM
Facts
Thank you!!
VellyVidz agree with this.
I can't call TPAB a classic.
Xan Frank yeah I agree but that’s for me. Lol I would listen to it if it came up on the playlist all of the way threw but not a go to for me.
To me Section 80 is a classic but on a different scale.. That album was amazing, and on an underground level had a great impact. I guess classics affect the culture as a whole, so GKMC and TPAB are amazing albums n classic
i honestly feel like TPAB was one the best rap albums of this past decade like no cap that album was impeccable
The Lucy Interlude on TPAB wasn’t about Suge Knight lol he was talking to the devil. Lucy...Lucifer.
Marcus Sucram lmao suge knight really the boogeyman of the rap world 😂
He's trying to call bussiness executives the devil thats y lucy is making him promises and sayinh he's gonna make him big or whatever
Love being from Compton. Kendrick represents us so well ❤

Damn is not a classic... It's a really good album but its no classic.

But tbh GKMC is the best one and TPAB a close second I’ve just listened to section 80 so much it’s my favorite.
wow im with you. section 80 made me listen to rap music again and GKMC blew my mind.
I think most Kendrick fans would say the same
Kimar Origami not mad at that. Me tho as a “Stan” I may change out gkmc and tpab.
TPAB is better than anything he put out i bought that album two times because i loved it so much GKMC is second but i May put Damn over it idk yet

Reuben Frank thats so fucking right. The only artist in the hip hop community i see who have a chance getting as great as kanye is kendrick, he just needs to give it time because his up there aswell. For me its:

10. Ice Cube (underrated)
Ps. I was gonna put Drake at 6,7 or 8 but I don’t feel like arguing today 😂. For me he’d definitely be in one of those spots based off of longevity, versatility, charisma and discography.
Notice how each media and so called music show always mentions Kanye's name?
Cormel Feliciano i dont know if i Think drake deserves a spot in a top 10 list but his very close. He is the one rapper who always have a lot of singles. He makes the summer Music Sound so much better. So im not really arguing about you having him in that list. To be honest he probably deserve a spot Well idk
All of them to be honest, what a career so far!
First episode Ive watched in a month.
just like top dawg said tpab is his best album! I can't believe y'all wanna praise it now but when it came out y'all was shitting on the production and calling it boring smh
Anthony G tpab still Trash album
Anthony G I’m with you!! To me it’s his best work. One of my favorite albums ever. I put it up there with anything that’s every come out

Kendrick the only rapper in his era of class leading with classic albums (Includes Drake, J Cole, Meek, Wale, Big Sean etc)
Big Sean "Dark Sky Paradise" his only classic album to me.
Wale has "Ambition" & arguably "The Album About Nothing".
HOW DID KENDRICK NOT DOMINATE 2013 WHEN THAT'S THE YEAR HE DROPPED CONTROL? YA'LL BUGGIN. HE'S BEEN TOP SINCE 2012
2pac is the 🐐 pac came out with the first rap double cds

TPAB is a classic album. You guys are tripping. I’m from LA and people still playing that album. You have to be from the west to understand the vibe, and music, that is in this album. I think it is better then Damn personally.
Who has a better discography kanye or Kendrick? It's close but I'll take K.Dot
King James kanye definitely. kanye changed the sound of hip hop with College dropout, graduation, and 808s. and thats only three of his albums
Kanye albums have replay value
Well Kanye had 4 classic albums, some say 5. So Kanye. Kendrick has 2.
Kendrick dosent do it for the gram he do it for COMPTOOOOOOOOOOON
Nadeska feeling bold today lol looking even better too
And now he just said it’s not a classic? 🤦🏾♂️ it’s his most important album to date

LOL Uchiha str8 out bro!!!
Y’all should do a Kendrick vs Cole episode or segment comparing them album by album
J Cole still hands down best album of the year!!!!!
I honestly knew he would blow.He was just too dope and still is.
Good kid maad city is his best album. To pimp a butterfly is his most layered and best piece of art. But I don't love every song and it can be hard to listen to.
I knew after I heard Overly Dedicated Kendrick was going to be a star. Section 80 was the icing on the cake.
Lamar

“What y’all do for July 4th”?
Only RUclips channel that has me laughing on a regular basis.
Compton in the house 🤟🏾
I’m like Kendrick’s biggest Stan, and personally I’d say
GKMC
TPAB
Section 80
DAMN
But they’re all 9.3 or better to me. The whole overall flow and story of GKMC is genius and perfect and no song is skippable. GKMC is a definitely a classic. I think all the other albums are fan classics
thought he was a guest cause the thumbnail lol
Kendrick is a Gemini. We're born to be creative, intelligent & innovative. Each of his albums sound different.
Comment section is better then the show
Come on, Wayno.TPAB was a classic. Alright, Blacker The Berry, King Kunta.... To say Damn was a classic over TPAB just seems ludicrous to me.
momma😭😭😭
Wayno TORE Nadeska up last night
LOL WHAT
Wym?
Nah bro AK is hitting that on the low
TheHotBoi He beat it up
Alibaba Saluja You need a description?
Kendrick lamar albums are great but, when he performs on stage it's amazing. Especially when he performed at the Grammy Awards with Imagine Dragons. I think that's when everyone started paying attention.
Life after death was a copy of me against the world let's not forget
What Up From New Zealand
alwysfrsh VLOGS yoo wassup myguy 💯Illinois in here too
GG LET'S GO
TPAB has great re-listen value. I still listen to it from begin to finish at times, plus untitled unmastered, when I have time to spare.
Kendrick better than Pac
iLLest Tv I keep saying that
The audacity??
Kendrick not even close and I am Kendrick fan
iLLest Tv
He’s way better at the art of crafting albums than pac was.
Facts
Hussein Hussein Kendrick discography has already surpassed 2pac tbh
I'm so glad they said Charles Hamilton name on this show. Even once in passing makes me feel good for him.
Kendrick Lamar might have at least 2 classic albums...
kendrick takes the stories from his city...the feeling of his city and put it to rhythm in ways many wish they could...the dude is blessed with it..period
Damn is not classic.
PULITZER WINNER
Jon Snow it's a MOMENT not a classic. I agree.
In my mind Kendrick has three classics in section 80,gkmc and tpab especially the last two ,those two are undeniable
A lot of people consider TPAB to be a classic since it’s good but it didn’t have a huge impact. GKMC remains his best classic project.
well maybe but i just really admire tpab uniqueness with the jazz vibes and especially my favorite song of all time u
and gkmc still have that pop sound
TPAB was his most important album content wise
Cormel Feliciano I disagree as feel it’s impact on social culture is why most consider it a classic. Everyone I talk to say it’s not as good musically as his other works which I would personally disagree with.
K dot got 3 classics.
Evergreen everyday struggle episodes with these three is a good direction for this show to go
It's crazy how closed minded Rap fans are. They dislike TPAB because it's "challenging" and somewhat experimental.
To me this is my favorite album and it's a classic
No good subjects to come up with huh?
BlackK GMS Kendrick isn’t a good subject?
You commented this 1 minute after the video was posted... cornball.
AshChynoweth you telling me when I commented on the video has nothing to do with the fact that I saw only 1 subject in the videos title.....cornball
BlackK GMS Joes the creator
TriniKidNYC no. He's great but there is alot more shit to talk about
8:10 Wayno don’t know how the time zones work, lmao 😂
How do you figure ?
Damn, nobody ever talks about the Kendrick Lamar ep. That his best shit to me
This episode is a L
The next Drake bar is gonna be "My kid wasn't hidden, the only thing hidden was the hills" - Akademiks 😂😂😂

1. Life After Death
2. Speaker Boxxx/The Love Below
3. All Eyez on me
I see Everyday Struggle is coming with the random topics now.
Factz From AKT
This isn't random, bc Section. 80 has its 7th anniversary
It's random because they've never done it before, they never just have flat out episodes to honor anniversaries.
Factz From AKT they’re fun topics that cause debates and arguments and bring back good memories don’t know why you hating
So now because I simply made a statement of them having a random topic, now I'm a hater. Make sense of it for me.
What’s the point of your comment? A good topic is a good topic no matter how it’s derived
To Pimp a Butterfly has more replay value than any rap album Ive ever heard imo. Gets better and better, with every listen I find something new I enjoy.
Greatest favorite rapper of all time for me is.
1. 2pac
2. Pusha T
3. Kendrick is going on against DMX for the 3rd spot
I can side with any list that has 2Pac at the top.
