    You guys should get paid for boarding. And all of the safety checks. Maybe not the full amount. But something is better than nothing. Especially with some of them obnoxious folks that love testing your patience.

      The pay breakdown does not add up; for ex, making 80 hrs monthly with two weeks off, even with per diem is measly.
      .
      The only people i see working this are married ones with extra income coming from their spouse.
      .
      It will take about 3+ years, from what ive read, before you start making decent money.

    Next time you’re in Nashville, The Merchant Bar on 4 th and Broadway and Joe’s Crab Shack on 2nd and Broadway are worth checking out. The Melting Pot on 1st and Broadway is pretty decent. I would,like to suggest McNamara’s Irish Pub on Old Lebanon Road as you head north along on Donelson Pike by the Airport. They prepare Steak and Guinness pie,Bangers and Mash,Shepherd’s pie,Scotch Eggs,Scotch Broth ( Scots migrated south more so than Irish ),Grilled Salmon plates,Sligo Salmon patties,County Clare Chicken.Dublin Pork tenderloin.They have a Bailey’s cheesecake and used to serve a bramble cobbler. A nice crew works there.

    Apparently there are two (or more) kinds of hours. Flight hours (basic pay in the $50 range) are just while the doors are locked and parking brake released. Right? Per diem seems to be based on total clock hours from when you arrive at airport for the trip until you return to that airport at the end of the trip. Right? All those other categories of pay seem to be based on trip hours, or are some of those based on "doors locked" hours? Thanks in advance for splaining this.

    Hi Kelly . Have always admired FA and the job you guys do . Over the last 3 years its become much more intense. You video was very informative and to the point Alot of info. FA for 9 years . Fantastic . only 20 more to go ? lol. maybe right who knows. Ok thinkin about taking the FA job next year. Got offered a CJO. Felt very lucky based on the competition. I'm a little older than your average FA. So got some questions that i didn't get a chance to ask in Dallas cause i had to go to the bathroom so bad after 8 glasses of water for the mandatory drug test. TMI right I could've put out a fire in a 4 story building I had so much water in me. wooooooo. again TMI . lol.
    OK are there a minimum hours a month to do to be considered part time if there is such a thing. ? for example if you do a hard 40 ( have heard you use that term ) look at me using the terms already lol, is that considered part time and if so are there any differences in anything like vacation time or pay scale or health benefits as opposed to someone who does say 120 hours a month if they can even pull that amount or even over 70 hours a month. Not sure if that has anything to do with the amount of reserve time you'd have to do your first year or 2 years.
    Next, Your Base assignment . would you have to pay that states taxes for money earned in that state ? For example if based out of Miami but you earn money out of NY from flights, would you have to pay NY taxes or does it merely depend on the state you reside in ? like Texas or Fla which have no state income tax . in other words live in Fla but based out of NY so whatever money I make regardless of flying out of NY would i have to pay state tax to NY. NY state taxes are ewwwwwww.
    thanks for taking time out of busy schedule to answer these questions . NO Rush of course. Be safe and stay healthy and take it easy on the triple strength starbucks. lol.

    • @theawkwardflightattendant
      @theawkwardflightattendant  7 месяцев назад +1

      To briefly answer your questions, there's no designation between part time and full time, and you pay the taxes of the state in which you live.
