Don’t say that if you don’t know the country. Things have changed a whole lot in the last 10 years. Honduras is not that “extremely dangerous” country everybody thinks it is. There are certain zones in certain cities that are dangerous, but not the whole country. Travel is always filled with situations---some peaceful, some dangerous, some dull and uninteresting. You are experiencing all of these. I've traveled most of my life and on reflection I'm amazed that I actually survived, but I did, and I'm so very glad that I took those chances. Always, face forward and expect the best, but don't ignore the worst, just blast through them with assurance that you will prevail. Buena Suerte.

If you are doing bad things bad things will happen to you not only in Honduras I see more violence in New York than Honduras .
I used to live there, I was borned there. I worked as a teacher in Tegucigalpa back in 2012 and I got robbed plenty of times ☹️
Just be careful. Honduras is not as safe as El Salvador. Have fun!
