    It's very cool to see everything you pack. I didn't hear you say anything about carrying a spare tube, flats are always possible - even with tubeless rims. As a petite woman, can you fix the very rare flat on the road? Do you have Tire levers? Now we need a video on how you pack all of it and you strap it to the bike. 🏍️ As always, you look GORGEOUS! We miss you at the NY Powerteam events. ❤ Love you, Jim Lewin, L.I., NY., USA ❤ 🏍️

      I usually get help! 😂😂 I know my strengths & weakness 😂 Yes they are in the tool kit. But to be honest, I have found those things to be very easy to come by. There are shops everywhere.
      Haha that is the ultimate jigsaw! Haha thanks Jim!

    12v charge plug + usb charge cord. bic lighter. conversion plugs (to charge using local power/receptacle configuration), pertinent documents, maps, antibiotics/antidiarrhea/antiemetic/excedrin/sunscreen, scissors (small), bug spray?, balaclava (for cold weather), few extra fuses, metal mirror, headlamp, pillowcase (to make a pillow out of clothes or to carry dirty clothes), and a lightweight backpack (like "Sea to Summit" type), and finally lightweight bag to carry goodies from the store or bike to the hotel. Whew- you're going to have to pull a 6 foot trailor....!

    Wow, you carry more stuff on your bike than most heavy duty pickups I see tooling around! I went down the whole less is more road when I younger and have carried that philosophy into bike trips, but I'm also not doing anything comparable to what you are. Water is the biggest bulkiest part of my one backpack luggage. I take trip videos until the gopro batteries die and then it's just cellphone videos/pictures when the scenery awes me. If I was a motovlogger it would all be from 24 hour laundromats outside of the scenery! Subscribed and will binge some or your vids. Safe Travels!

      hahaha 😂😂🤪 Oh yea less is DEFINITELY more. I do find it a little tricky because I live full time on the motorcycle, I don't have a home, the motorcycle is my home! ☺️☺️ and I'm no minimalist as much as I'd love to be! But little by little I am pairing down. Haha scenery & laundry mats! 😂😂

    Thanks for sharing your staff. But I am a little shocked how much you are caring. That means of course that the bike gets really heavy. On the other side most of the things are really necessary and makes life easier and comfortable.

      So heavy! Always too much! Always trying to figure out how to downsize and carry less but with camping, filming, and living long term on the bike it is tricky! Also, the dance between making due and buying new expensive items!

    Frogg Toggs are AWESOME. They work so great, are budget friendly, and strong. I have one of the "paper" 'Tyvek'-type jackets and a wet weather set - and they've both been lifesavers! I carry the wet weather set on my bike at all times and oh man, have I been glad to have them!

    thanks for sharing! Your clothes take up such little space!!! At 6'2" my clothes are quite the space-hogs. I've got the same mushroom tire repair kit (but with a different compressor)... it's a PIA to get those mushrooms in... I also keep the older "rope" type plugs in case I can't get the others in. I certainly agree with you on the merino wool, and packing extra socks and underwear, as it's more important to be able to keep rotating thru clean pairs of those!

    You have some items for tubeless tires (which your GS was). Noticed a lot of the bikes you were looking at had spoked wheels. While spoked wheels doesn't necessarily mean tubed tires, it often does and swapping the tubeless gear for tubes and tire irons in your kit could be a potential change you might have to make. Stay safe!

    I appreciate the clever way you have filled this hiatus in your journey between motorcycles, and it was in fact interesting to see what you have been carrying along all this time. Even though I remember, from previous videos, that large front compartment on your motorcycle, and the masses of things in the back, I find like other commenters that it's hard to imagine how you packed all the stuff in -- you sometimes must have to do a lot of digging to retrieve whatever you need at the moment. One thing I carry on my travels that I don't recall you showing us is a small Spanish dictionary, preferably with verb-conjugation tables (which I realize you won't need once you finally move beyond Latin America). I know you can access on-line dictionaries and phrase lists, but they won't be very useful if what you need to say is "I've lost my internet connection"!

    • @MindBodyMotoGirl
      @MindBodyMotoGirl  3 месяца назад

      Hahaha that's a cute thing to carry! I definitely do all things like that on my phone. Oddly enough, I never found I had to do a lot of digging, with a little organization, I always knew where everything was!

    The older I get, the less I take with me. I challenge myself, to carry less and less. And I never have regretted it. It makes travelling so much easier. Of course there are sometimes situations, when it would have been great to carry an additional important item. But often, there's the possibility to improvise. I just don't want to carry items any more, that are needed only once per year.
    Same with my motorcycle. It only weighs 118kg. It makes driving easy. Especially in rough terrain, it's a big burden to handle a heavy motorcycle.

    • @MindBodyMotoGirl
      @MindBodyMotoGirl  3 месяца назад +1

    Such a great video Tammy. It’s always so interesting to see what other riders carry. Wondered if you carried any form of stove or saucepans? I have a one ring burner and a really lightweight camping saucepan and kettle set that is wonderful on cold tent nights when you need a warm meal or drink. Also really agree with finding people on the road who can help mechanically. I have the lots of stories of riding through Africa and finding people who knew what to do at just the right moment. I broke down in the middle of nowhere in Tanzania when my electrics went haywire and 10 minutes later, a Tanzanian in a Hockey Canada Tuke was looking over my shoulder, told me he was a motorcycle mechanic, and fixed it on the spot.

    • @MindBodyMotoGirl
      @MindBodyMotoGirl  3 месяца назад

      Thanks Andy! Nope no stove or saucepan, I don't do much cooking. A warm tea would be nice in the tent but I haven't found myself really wanting it so much on my camping nights so I haven't included it.
      Ha! I love that story! It's been my experience as well so I don't go crazy trying to carry so much moto repair stuff.

    Thanks for sharing, one thing that I like having on my bike when traveling is the right socket sizes to remove the tires, they don't take a lot of space but they make things easier even if someone else changes the tire or if you have to remove the tire to take it somewhere to get it fix.

    Seems a shame to change the BM for something less substantial being as your living out there on the road. There are lowering kits available for that model, you could still swap the boxes for bags, it's certainly possible to to shed a good few lbs else where, food for thought if it's not to late. Lol, aside from the mat and tent poles because of their shape, all my camping gear fits into my 25L bag with room to spare :)

      @@MindBodyMotoGirl Maybe, we girls just different, cause I don’t use so much stuff in my life out of the bike) in trip i use one t-shirt, two pairs socs, one wool shirt and one pants(they are and shorts too With detachable trousers) that’s all)) and one liquid soap for all-body, hair and And for washing things..That's why my luggage is not heavy..

    Way too much stuff........ I'd toss about 3/4 of it, for sure at least half. You may be facing doing just that when it comes time to pack the new bike.

      @@MindBodyMotoGirl well, part of the Stop&Go kit, all the bikes you looked at have tubes. Stop &Go is for tubeless tires. I'd try to avoid duplication of items. The old sleeping bag and mattress could go, get newer ones that pack smaller and lighter. I carry a yoga mat too, but it's thin, and when I'm packed, it rides on top of my pannier with my mattress. Like you I carry a tent, sleeping bag, mattress, plus, a small Jet Boil, spork, and plastic cutting board. As far as clothes go, you could cut back some. I have a weeks worth of t-shirts, socks, underwear, plus a day, I do laundry every week. I have swim trunks, four pairs of shorts, one pair of sweat pants, and a hoodie. I also have some tools, maintenance stuff, and resistance bands. Electronics are just a MacBook, camera, power bank, two drives, and two phones. Not much, but I'm not a RUclipsr. Last year when I bought my Himalayan in Iowa I had to toss a bunch of stuff, it will be interesting to see what you will be letting go of when you are packing. Oh, ya, I carry green tea too.... 😁
