Funny thing is that I answered your question with Band in the box before you said it:) I am actually literally getting ready to put a show together to help with earning money since of the inflation , my fixed-income is not enough to pay the bills. I never liked the idea of karaoke , but venues don't pay for 5 piece bands very often anymore. Also if you actually develop the tracks , it doesn't feel like karaoke in addition to you playing over the previous tracks that you have recorded , that makes if feel even less like karaoke . Also - I have spoken to the product support people at Band in the Box and they are helpful and nice people to talk with if I have a question about the operation of the product. No - I am not endorsed by them, I just like the idea of Band in The Box when you don't have a band available . Thanks for what you do Henry.

Thanks to you I’ve enjoyed using BIAB to create backing tracks so I can play along with the music I enjoy creating and playing using my midi keyboard and a variety of guitars. I learned from you how to create the backing tracks and then move them into the DAW that I use to finish making the song sound very professional in my opinion. It’s an excellent way for anyone to grow in their skills to learn new things that helps keep the creativity flowing. Liked and subscribed a couple of years ago. 👍❤️😊
Hi Henry; You need to update your Band In a Box Link in your description. It is out of date. I have been following you a few years now. You are great with BIAB, and they should pay you salary. I have bought BIAB a few different times, 2009, 2012, 2016. I could not make anything much out of it because it did not have enough song styles for me to go with the song that I want create. But now it has more styles added, I will try again. Then I will come back to your channel more often for questions and tutorials. Please create more basic tutorial videos in sequential orders for beginners. If the lessons are scatter, it’s hard to understand and you know beginners will quit because the software is confusing to use. Thanks.

My own set of tools at the moment focus on the DAW (Cubase) and plugins which are very useful, but perhaps not as slick as BIAB has become. For example, EZKeys, EZBass and EZDrummer do what you describe, but not as well, it seems. I see two main reasons to write and record music (if you exclude the pure fun part). One is to fulfil contractual, or other, requirements (ie...I need an album in 2 weeks, or a RUclips video every week, or a song by the end of the day, etc) and the other is because you're hearing something in your head and you're trying to bring it to life. The first reason is what, in my opinion, drives 99.99% of the stuff available out there, and is one huge beneficiary of the new BIAB. The second reason, unfortunately, is why I do it - and it's a huge struggle to "give birth" to a musical idea, if you know what I mean. The EZ products I mentioned above seem to help reasonably well. Do you think BIAB will work there? I have a feeling it will...

I used Band-In-A-Box Version 1 - MS-DOS MIDI program supplied on a single 3 1/2" floppy disk.
