    I'm waiting for Mac 2024. They said spring, so... It's like summer here in Florida. Must be getting close.😝

      Yea. But I always hear that something that's in the PC version is left out of the MAC version. Hopefully they'll correct that.

    Was inspired to upgrade. I used Cakewalk and BIAB since they came out, but haven’t looked at BIAB in years. Also over 60 and trying to make some music again!

      Yea. Ya gotta keep at it. I know I let is sit for a few years but when they came out with Utility Tracks that's what got me inspired.

    Thanks very nice feature I'm on a Mac so don't think they have updated to this feature yet .
    1 question the screen where you highlighted the solo and regenerated it is it possible to regen it once then move or copy and save that on another track like a scratch track and repeat so you end up with a bunch of regens saved cause sometimes you might want to go that last 1 was better how do I get that back or say you regen twice and say first regen part of it was better but second regen half part of I could combine them hope that makes sense
    Cheers from New Zealand

      I'm sure you can do it in your DAW. I'd just RENAME and save each version of your song, then open each version in your Daw and use the Volume Knobs on your tracks to bring in the versions of the tracks you've regenerated. Ya know?

    Love your channel - it has been a great help to me learning how to use BIAB.
    Partial regeneration is a great feature for non-solo tracks as well, in spots where the chords and riffs aren’t just right. But sometimes I just want to change or add/remove one or two notes of a RealTracks or RealDrums track without regenerating anything. In this case I select the track and then open the notation or piano roll window and render part of the track in MIDI using the “Playable RealTracks” feature, which lets me manipulate the individual notes.
    The MultiPicker window also supports partial regeneration of a track, but in the case of MIDI tracks there is a bug that causes the entire track to be regenerated anyway, even if a restricted range was specified, so it is not usable yet - one has to generate a separate, new track and then use F5 bar settings to switch between the tracks, as far as I can tell.

      Nice idea but way too much programming. I try to keep the programming to the absolute minimum I can get away with. I find too much programming over minor stuff that very few notice is not worth the time and effort for me. However I'm glad you're comfortable with that approach.

    Hi, I started using BIAB inuitively, so I know many of the things you talk about. Still, your tips are very valuable. They systematize what I do without having to go into searching and being sidetracked. The way you do it is accessible and natural (you talk a lot, but it's OK, you remind me of Kenan on SNL). Thank you.

      Have you explored that function? It may be there and you just need to find it. Not something that I search for since I don't play guitar but it may be hiding in some function waiting for you to discover it.

      True I know how to do that but I don't use shortcuts in my videos because I want people to know not just how to do something but "why" they're doing it. Comes from my od days as a Microsoft and Cisco instructor. However, I'm glad you find the shortcuts useful.

    Thank you very much for your video. I just know the "re-generate" feature from your clip. This helps me a lot. Unfortunately, drum track cannot be re-generated (or I don't know how)

    • @henryclarke5407
      @henryclarke5407  5 месяцев назад +1

      You wouldn't regenerate the drums. You already have different passages you can use for drums ruclips.net/video/oUwtEBo53Ac/видео.htmlsi=cVH-7AJqMjxWkMOO

    Hi:
    Alot of older music seems to have been recorded without a click track or metronome.
    As a result the music measures are not equal.
    Equalizing the timing of the measures would make transcription easier.
    Is there software available that would automatically correct this?

    • @henryclarke5407
      @henryclarke5407  5 месяцев назад

      True that so you have to find ways to work around it. My way is to get the chords and then go and arrange the song the way I want it.

    • @henryclarke5407
      @henryclarke5407  5 месяцев назад

      Yes. I'm aware of that but I never use shortcuts in my videos. They don't tell you why you are doing something and I find them not to be a good teaching aid. But you are correct that you can do it that way.

      Often the Mac version does not have all of the Windows features, even after a same-year update. According to PG music’s own developers, another feature that Henry discussed earlier this year - ‘Stylemaker’ - will not be a part of Mac biab 2024. 😢
