This thing is amazing. Just bought it and my jaw is still on the floor. You have to try it yourself and see how astounding RealTracks sound. And then I can change up the key and tempo and tweak stuff and regenerate and the song is still sounding like a studio band, not like a casio-keyboard version of bossa nova or a 1980s organ version of a blues shuffle, but like a real blues shuffle or a real bossa nova.
Just another note BIAB sure has come along way from when it came on a 3 inch floppy. I also was fortunate to take a couple of lessons from Oliver Gannon the brother of Peter, when I played rhythm in a community stage band H
Great Video Rich. I LOVE BIAB. I could learn more about all the functions but mostly I use it to jam with!! Does anyone know how to use these backing tracks with an AMP for performing live? I do have a loop pedal that is fun as well but how do I get rendered BIAB sessions into my BOSS loop pedal so I could perform live against these BIAB arrangements? Is this even possible with a BOSS pedal or not? I wouldn't want to lug around a computer plus the amp has no inputs for anything but guitar 1/4". Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Rich, thanks also for all your finger-style guitar arrangements. I have no idea how you do it. I feel like I am cheating when I play your arrangements!!!
Using Realtracks as accompaniment in live performance. Is something like this possible, like arranger keyboards? Realtime chord changing Without typing.
Well I heard you mention BIAB on your livestream that I accidently caught a few days ago. After watching the livestream and this youtube vid (and a couple of other BIAB vids) I'm gonna get it. Far more useful and a lot cheaper than spending £300 on a reverb pedal that I was considering which would be nice to have but not really that essential. Thanks :)
I wish......had BB since 2019, it's never loaded properly, every time I use it it's like sorry Dave I can't do that or it may as well say don't press this button again........
Hi Rick .I have a number of songs I'm playing on guitar and want backing tracks to accompany me. I purchased band in a box this week but the tracks included with the 2022 mac version are not a match for the songs I'm playing. Can I add additional tracks to the program that are a better match for the sound I want? Thanks
I make my own backing tracks. I use a program called RipX. You just drag an MP3 into it, and it gives you 5 tracks (vocals, bass, drum, guitar, keys). From there, you can take the individual tracks (they call stems) into any program the can play them (I used Reaper, but Audacity (free) works too). If you want a guitar backing track, just don't put the guitar track in. With Reaper, I can mute any track, or use the solo feature to just play the guitar track if I'm learning a solo or something. To audition people for a band, you can just take into Audactity (or Reaper) and leave out the track you are auditioning for. For a drummer, just use all tracks except drums. Export to an MP3, send to the candidate and ask them to play along to the track with a video from a phone. That audio won't be great, but you can find if it's worth the time to meet in person. Used this for years. You're playing with the original artists, but you are the guitar.
Opened up some ideas for a newbie BIAB owner.
You're the best Rich! Thanks for all you do, sir.

Which version did you buy?
I need to make some quality blues tracks.
Love that song, your presentation is like gold to my ears. How is it that you know the chords to that song the way you do?

Good stuff!
Nice video! However, it is incumbent upon me to point out that measure 11 should be Am7.
Do we need to have permission
to use our work, with BIAB?
