Why use BIAB. Why not throw it in a DAW and chop it up the way you want. Can't find a valid reason to use BIAB for this type of work unless I'm missing something.

Maybe. Things do change over time so I don't think decline as much as I think changing attitudes toward music but I get your point.

I have never found a way to time the song. I actually use a stopwatch on my tablet sometimes but of course when I move to my DAW it's not an issue.

Did you start with a chord in the 1st bar? The system needs something to start with.

Hi. Glad you enjoy the videos. I personally think that the best time to get bargain upgrades is when they announce the new release. They usually have attractive promotional pricing at that time because they want to get off to a good start. They haven't formally announced but usually around October or November they will probably release 2025. At that time I would look at the upgrade chart from 2024 Pro to 2025 Ultra. It's usually a pretty good price at that time.

That's just a directory I create where I have me BIAB files located. It makes it easier for me to search for songs I'm working on. It's not a directory that the software creates. Just one I prefer to make. It really comes in handy when you upgrade to newer versions.

Sure I have but those are niche markets (Jazz). Jazz is so limited that most of the Jazz Radio stations are no longer in service. I don't know anyone under 50 who listens to these artist. Even Jazz giants like Quincy Jones and George Benson did not fully break through until they started using vocals in their productions. This video was done based on research. However, you don't have to agree. You're more than entitled to your view and I respect that position.

I'm just saying for me, great melodies and beautiful chords don't 'need' lyrics to be great.

True. I think the last instrumental pop number one was 1985 !!

All parts may matter but all parts do not carry the same weight. I'm saying here that if the song is a vocal song that matters more than anything. Not sure how the fact that good singers can play instruments matters except for the fact that when they are instrumentalists it actually works out a bit better because they know how to play to accompany a vocalist more. How to leave appropriate space, etc ...

Really? One of the great in lyrics of all time, Hotel California" isn't exactly burning up the charts as spoken word. ​@@henryclarke5407

You save the song in the appropriate format for burning. MP3 is usually the best choice to burn a song to CD assuming that you have a CD burner.

I agree. Great vocalist can do some amazing stuff that the original lyricist never even thought of. Also when you come you can even come up with an approach to a line that you hadn't even thought of before.
