the best era marvel has ever had:2008-2019 infinity saga then its anime for kids and Deadpool comes to prove that a character obsolete and meaningless to the mcu...endgame was game over praise to the russos honestly and on their place i would come back either because joking with a climax of a saga just because is "cool"is spit it out on their work to achieve the great goal that endgame is...on the otherside i hate characters that are always joking with dark humour and they are always angry with the world like logan punisher blade and other characters come on folks do we really neeed griddy scenarios and characters with two main wars happening and other bad stuff come one get together!
It’s crazy how during the film I felt like I was watching the Elvis just performing. Austin not only did an amazing job acting but he sang amazingly similar! I also had no idea how tragic Elvis’ life was with his manager. It’s crazy how massive he was worldwide without performing out of the US
Lisa Marie passed away suddenly on January 12, 2023; just a couple of weeks before her 55th birthday. Not sure of the actual cause but it is very similar to how Elvis died. She is buried at Graceland next to her son. Priscilla is still very much alive.
It was due to improper healing of gastric bypass surgery, so was backed up like her father. Four days after her dad's birthday, and one day after Austin won his award
I Loved Austin Butler’s portrayal…and his version of the music…he did an excellent job singing…Tom Hanks said when they were filming the International scenes …it was like seeing a full concert and “you couldn’t take your eyes off of Austin …” I’m looking forward to Baz sharing the concert footage with Austin Butler performing!!
People make fun of Austin’s accent (unfairly, imo), but I think he was frakin incredible. He dedicated himself and worked so hard. Amazing performance.
Finally this film!!!!! I found myself feeling a lot of sympathy for him. As he was an artist who never got to fulfill his destiny because no one around him was looking out for him, much like Witney Houston. But Elvis would be happy to know he was remembered 🥰
This is one of those movies that just comes together in the end and sticks the landing. That final scene is perfect, and the transition from Austin to the real Elvis footage was done so well.
This movie was actually a lot more fun to watch than I thought it was gonna be. I've seen it three time since I first saw it. I'm an Elvis fan and Austin Butler actually does a really great job sounding like and acting like Elvis.
You just watched the best movie of 2022 by a thousand miles. One of the best of the last decade and one of the best biogrophical movies of all time. Austin and Baz made a masterpiece. It's just that the Academy isn't the Academy anymore.
Austin absolutely did Elvis justice with his performance 💯 % ~ I was always an Elvis fan growing up and still listen to his music daily! I was honestly afraid to watch this movie because I didn’t want to feel embarrassed for him and it took me a year to watch it! Boy was I wrong and now I’m even more obsessed with it! I enjoy watching Austin & Elvis comparisons on RUclips, and Austin truly embodied Elvis for this movie! They couldn’t have picked a better actor or director! He paid great honor and tribute to Elvis & his family. Austin has an incredible show biz path ahead and he will forever carry a form of Elvis in everything he does! ❤️🖤
37:40 I’ve heard in interviews that this scene where Elvis loses his mom was hard for Austin to film. He lost his mom the same at the same age Elvis did. Putting himself into that emotional state took him back to when he lost his own mother.
Austin’s performance deserved an Oscar. A lot of the movie was accurate but a few things were not historically accurate. Like the way he fired Colonel wasn’t public like this but backstage. You should watch comparing footage of the 68 comeback and houndog. It’s incredible
18:17 She gave birth to a dead baby (Jesse) nearly 30 minutes before she gave birth to a living one (Elvis). Of course she's never going to want that living baby go.
It’s so sad that Elvis was so afraid he wouldn’t be remembered. It’s been 47 years after he died and every year on the anniversary of his death and his birthday, thousands of people go to Graceland to honor him. Also you asked how many shows did he do a day in Vegas. Mostly he would do 2 shows but sometimes 3 a day! He was and will always be the greatest entertainer ever!! ❤️
That was so awesome watching the movie again with you guys. I have not recovered from the movie. I went into a deep dive on Elvis and have still not resurfaced.
Austin was like watching Elvis! Austin deserved the Oscar for best actor! His moves and his voice was identical to Elvis. I watched the 68 comeback Special live on tv, believe me when I say he killed this performance!
Even though it did not get an Oscar, the movie was Awesome and I dont care what anyone else says. it will be one of those Movie that will go down in history as the best, because they captured the Essence of who Elvis Presley is and brought reality to generations after him that he Changed the Course of music by Fusion. RIP Sir Elvis you are loved forever by people that matters. 46 years and he gathers more fans. 🥰🥰
My heart is so broken for him. Such beauty, grace and talent, exploited. His mom knew. That last scene... in the real footage, it's like he knew it was the end. Great reaction. I love me some John and Andrew is a great pairing.
Elvis was given leave to see his mom before she passed, but according to people close to him, he was never the same after he lost her. They were extremely close.
That performance of him singing Trouble in the stadium is directly taken from the real performance. They were trying to shut him down and arrest him. That's always been one of my favorite performances of Elvis. Oh, and he did end up singing to the basset hound on Ed Sullivan. That was real🫣
Austin did an amazing job. When he was on the screen it was like Elvis himself was walking u through his life. His acting, dancing, manorisim, singing, fill on stage performances. Aystin delivered a once in a lifetime Oscar performance but was ribbed of taking home the Iscar he deserved. Plus the movie had 8 nominations and was shut out. The academy lost their integrity a long time ago. Austin and the mo ue did win alot of awards workd wide it was just the poor excuse of academy voters who didn't reward the right performances. They were on a redemption tour and jyst gave awards to actirs they felt were over due for 1 instead of the performances at hand.
My mom told me that sometime after we watched the movie in theaters. I didn’t know about that until after she told me about his voice changing. How it messed up his voice.
You can’t really even imagine what Elvis’ time was like to the world. I was around for a whole lot of it. I was born into a world where Elvis was already The KING. He is still.
Almost 1 year ago I thought I wanted to know if Elvis actually fired his manager from the stage... and then I disappeared down the Elvis rabbit hole. Well played Mr. Luhrman, well played
This movie was not fictional and Baz spent years researching the subject of Elvis and Colonel Tom. He robbed Elvis of his freedom by keeping him stuck in Vegas instead of allowing him to see the world. Colonel Tom was a Dutch criminal who could not get a passport and lied about why Elvis couldn’t go overseas. The movie shows the essence of how Elvis changed the world of music and became the first superstar. I loved this movie completely
King Creole is one of my favorite Elvis films, and was apparently one of Elvis' favorites he ever did. There are a few films he did that you guys should check out. The song he sings after wiggling his finger is called Trouble. It's a song from his film, King Creole. There are so many great songs from that film. He acted in 31 films between 1956 and 1969
Every time I watch this film, I feel my grandmas presence. She was the biggest Elvis fan. I wish she could have watched this with me. I was hoping to finally get a review by you guys for this movie! I checked every day when the trailers came out for a review of those. Thank you fellas!!
Remember he was born in the 30s, young boy in 40s and teen in 50 s. Different time back then, thinking was different. He from the south, very into church. Back then girls married young, before or right out of high school, it was normal then. Don't compare how we think today to 50 years ago or so
Elvis’s music and spirit has continued to live on and make millions 4 decades after his passing and now his beautiful daughter LisaMarie who loved her dad has passed at a young age. Sad
Been dying for this reaction ever since it came out, once it was Netflix I knew it was bound to come..and yes the contract was on a napkin they found it, and is on display at Graceland
I loved the film. I was apprehensive about it when I saw pictures of Austin Butler at first - but his acting/portrayal of Elvis was so good that and misgivings I had were quickly erased. I realize that although some of the things in the movie did not happen or did not happen the way they portrayed it Baz Luhrman did a wonderful job telling Elvis' story - the good and the bad parts of his life - he did not ignore the bad parts to glorify Elvis - Elvis was human after all and did have his issues.
I knew there was a lot of darkness surrounding Elvis but this movie revealed it to me and I was honestly shocked by just how bad it was. Everyone joked when he died but now knowing what he was put through psychologically I now see it in a completely different light, he wanted to tour the world but he was held down by the greed of an evil man
What’s crazy is how tame this movie is and then you read the the real stories of what Parker did to the Real Hank Snow and 68 Special. It’s insane. Loved this movie. Saw it 15 times in the theater 🤣
I know two things in the movie that never happened or were highly exaggerated. One, the Comeback special wasn’t as much of a Christmas show as it’s portrayed to be. They wanted him to sing a few Christmas songs and his last song of the special to be a Christmas song instead of the powerful song dedicated to Martin Luther King. And the second thing I know for sure that did not happen was the outburst on stage of him firing the Colonel. I’m sure he did fire him at one point and take him back, but that wasn’t out in public. Side note Dolly Parton’s I Will Always Love You was meant for Elvis to sing. He never did it because of the Colorel. Also RIP Lisa Marie.
Dolly's "I will always love you" was not meant to be sung by Elvis. She wrote it for someone in her life & said so when she introduced the song. Elvis then wanted to sing it but also to buy the rights from her & she wouldn't sell, so they were not able to work out a deal in which he could sing it. This info came from Dolly's mouth directly while on camera.
In your own time watch some live performances of the real Elvis. See how well Butler nailed the performance. See the real Elvis deep throat that microphone! 😉😂
Wow you guys are amazingly awesome and funny ! I ' ve seen a lot of reviews of this movie but i have to say this eas an awesome job by you guys ! The king for everrrrr Austin was robbed at the Oscar's ! Loved it !❤😊
Really enjoyed the movie watched 3 times. Austin really smashed it out the park with his performance! The whole family supported this movie and its release
On a side note … the scene in Las Vegas, where Elvis was putting together his opening show … the soundtrack wasn’t working properly, so Baz had the instruments unmuted and Austin had to actually put it together himself. (There is an interview Austin and Baz did where they explained how it all came about … pretty amazing on Austin’s part).
THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS❤️ Elvis inspires you to be a better human being❤️ You bring me and other Elvisfans a lot of Joy and Love❤️ Welcome to the Elvisfamily..It is filled with LOVE and FUN❤️😉 Try to react to his version of Polk Salad Annie(Vegas 70’)🎸
Bazz the director is all about kinetic energy with his films where it's always constant movement in every scene of his film(s). Elvis Presley was the perfect film where he brought that flamboyant side of Elvis Presley, the musical persona of the iconic legend. I feel Elvis Presley was also inspired by Gorgeous George the Wrestler.
You two should react to the original footage of the 68 come back special, and you will really see how good Austin was at impersonating Elvis especially the fact that Austin really sang some of the songs for the movie.
I wonder why you guys waited this long to watch this phenomenal film. You could have watched it in the big screen and enjoyed it more. I am glad that you liked it. Baz was a great and Austin was awesome! Loved the soundtrack too.
Not sure about Rocketman, but Rami Malek lip synced all the songs in Bohemian Rhapsody … Austin actually sang all the songs in the 50’s, and his voice was blended with Elvis’ in the later years. However, Austin sang his own version of In The Ghetto, which has been published, but wasn’t in the movie. Also, back when the controversy of his ‘hanging out with the blacks’ came about, it was against the law for whites to socialize with blacks. Elvis could have cared less and did it anyway. He was raised with blacks and it was just natural to him.
What a stunning performance. wont be surprised if it goes down as one of THE great screen performances. Butler went so deep into the character, I felt that I was watching Elvis for real.
I don't know if you know this or not but Elvis and Austin Butler both have in common they both lost their mother when they was 23 years old, as you can see Austin was really crying in real life while he was doing a scene with Tom Hanks
The "switch", as many call it, was THE moment that made the tears Really fall... Just 6 weeks before his passing & that voice alone Continued to show the World Exactly Why he Was, Is & Will Always be THE KING OF ROCK & ROLL💖
This movie should’ve won a few Oscars. I know Austin was up against tough competition. But besides best actor, it should’ve won best costume and best editing for sure.
Dad & I watched this movie in August 2022. We both enjoyed it. When I saw the trailer for this movie, Suspicious Minds & A Little Less Conversation ended up on my playlist.
My dad's side of the family has always been huge Elvis fans, and all of them loved this. It was a great performance from Butler, and honestly while it wasn't his best role by miles Hanks wasn't that bad in my opinion, I can get why people didn't like framing it from the Colonel's perspective but it furthered the sympathy towards Elvis that way. Amazing costuming as well
this movie was better than i expected. my favorite musician cinematic biography is rocketman with taron egerton. it’s truly a crime it wasn’t nominated for more awards, it’s an INCREDIBLE movie
Fun Fact: Elvis used to do three shows a day at the international. A morning breakfast show a lunch show and a dinner show. It's crazy how much energy drugs can give you.
I've seen this movie 38 times. In yhe theater. Would see it ,38 more plus cinstantly on TV. Austin was taken over by rht Elvis spirit. Absolutely surreal
I agree with you, this was one of the slowest movies I’ve watched in theaters. But it turned out to be a phenomenal movie. Definitely worth the wait while watching
This movie slots into that “based on a true story” genre. From what I know based on local lore around Memphis, all the big parts are true enough. Dramatized but based in fact. I love the what if questions. Elvis was rich enough and famous enough to do pretty much anything, and that was in a strictly domestic market and only getting 50%. What other levels are out there that he could’ve hit? The carny colonel held him back some, but was also a mad genius at marketing
if you wanna do more research on Elvis and his growing up situation you should watch "baz luhrmann interview elvis presley’s childhood friend sam bell" on youtube !
5:44 The chickens are dancing because they're standing on a hot stove. Not hot enough to burn their feet, just hot enough for them to keep moving their feet trying to get away from the the feet, so they look like they're dancing.

Austin only actually sang during the 1950s live segments. The rest of the film was Elvis' actual voice singing 99% of the time.
Lisa Marie passed away suddenly on January 12, 2023; just a couple of weeks before her 55th birthday. Not sure of the actual cause but it is very similar to how Elvis died. She is buried at Graceland next to her son. Priscilla is still very much alive.
Elvis died because he didn't take a shit for over a month
It was due to improper healing of gastric bypass surgery, so was backed up like her father. Four days after her dad's birthday, and one day after Austin won his award
I still can't believe that this film didn't get a single oscar
I can't believe it too
It won Golden Globes and other awards.
@@drieuxkoeppel8152 yes it did, and it wonn BAFTA Award, AFI (American Film Institute Awards), Critics' Choice Movie Award and many other rewards.
costumes, music and cinematography if nothing else.
Austin was robbed!

It took me way too long to i was watching footage of the real Elvis amd not Austin.
Austin Butler really did a great job, you really forgot you were watching him portraying Elvis.
And the use of “In the Ghetto” while showing that final text was perfect.
Very emotional moment as well.
Austin Butler did all his singing in the younger version of Elvis.
This movie was actually a lot more fun to watch than I thought it was gonna be. I've seen it three time since I first saw it. I'm an Elvis fan and Austin Butler actually does a really great job sounding like and acting like Elvis.
Austin butler did such an amazing job as Elvis. This movie was so damn good.
You just watched the best movie of 2022 by a thousand miles. One of the best of the last decade and one of the best biogrophical movies of all time. Austin and Baz made a masterpiece. It's just that the Academy isn't the Academy anymore.
Amen!! I am a movie buff and I've seen it all and what they did at the Oscars to this film and performance is reprehensible.
Cap 🧢. The Batman is the best movie in 2022

thank you for reacting to this !! I don't understand how this movie hasn't been watched by more reactors it was such a big deal and is really good
Austin Butler won a BAFTA for Best Actor, and rightly so.
Austin’s performance deserved an Oscar. A lot of the movie was accurate but a few things were not historically accurate. Like the way he fired Colonel wasn’t public like this but backstage. You should watch comparing footage of the 68 comeback and houndog. It’s incredible

The '68 Comeback Special is one of my favorite Elvis 'concerts '
That was so awesome watching the movie again with you guys. I have not recovered from the movie. I went into a deep dive on Elvis and have still not resurfaced.
The story with the colonel being fired is that it was after a show and the audience could hear Elvis yelling from back stage
Austin was like watching Elvis! Austin deserved the Oscar for best actor! His moves and his voice was identical to Elvis. I watched the 68 comeback Special live on tv, believe me when I say he killed this performance!

In my opinion, best movie of 2022. Austin really nailed this performance!
My heart is so broken for him. Such beauty, grace and talent, exploited. His mom knew. That last scene... in the real footage, it's like he knew it was the end.
Great reaction. I love me some John and Andrew is a great pairing.

Austin Butler couldn't get rid of his Elvis Presley voice for 2 years and had to go to a speech therapist everyday to get his real voice back.
It's still there
Only at the end of his sentences@@jordan_styla7655
Apparently he lied about that just to get an oscar
My mom told me that sometime after we watched the movie in theaters. I didn’t know about that until after she told me about his voice changing. How it messed up his voice.
I heard the therapy took two months. But as he was leaving he said “thank you very much” and they had to start all over again.
You can’t really even imagine what Elvis’ time was like to the world. I was around for a whole lot of it. I was born into a world where Elvis was already The KING. He is still.

Love this movie, Austin Butler was amazing!
Been dying for this reaction ever since it came out, once it was Netflix I knew it was bound to come..and yes the contract was on a napkin they found it, and is on display at Graceland
Yeah, unfortunately Elvis died never knowing Colonel Parker was as bad as he was. Most of the info didn't come to light until 1981.
I'm glad that this movie showed Parker what he was, a greedy man who used and manipulated Elvis 😢
Wish they showed more of his charitable side. It’s insane.
I loved the film. I was apprehensive about it when I saw pictures of Austin Butler at first - but his acting/portrayal of Elvis was so good that and misgivings I had were quickly erased. AUSTIN BUTLER 🙌 THE BEST ELVIS AARON PRESLEY ✨ AMEN ⚜️💫 THANK YOU VERY MUCH 💖⚡
Loved this movie. I took my mom to see it. She was a huge fan so I grew up listening to Elvis. The family loved the movie as well.
At 28:48 you asked if that was real footage of Elvis when you heard him say "I don't feel I'm doing anything wrong". Yes,it was actual footage of him.
Loved that movie...watched it three times in cinema. It's the only movie I actually watched more than once on the big screen. :D
So excited to see John and Andrew react to this movie! Austin Butler is so great in this movie! 👍
John's Elvis impression sounds more like Johnny Bravo
THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS❤️ Elvis inspires you to be a better human being❤️ You bring me and other Elvisfans a lot of Joy and Love❤️ Welcome to the Elvisfamily..It is filled with LOVE and FUN❤️😉

You two should react to the original footage of the 68 come back special, and you will really see how good Austin was at impersonating Elvis especially the fact that Austin really sang some of the songs for the movie.
He does not sing any of the later material. The 68 stuff is Elvis's voice. Austin was probably singing along so as not to lip synch.
… you should listen to what Baz said about how the later songs were done.
I wonder why you guys waited this long to watch this phenomenal film. You could have watched it in the big screen and enjoyed it more. I am glad that you liked it. Baz was a great and Austin was awesome! Loved the soundtrack too.
I watched this film opening night at release in 2022🔥 such a great film
Me too, I watched it opening night. I love it, great film ❤
Austin Butler did a fantastic job in this film, this and Bohemian Rhapsody wish is worth checking out too are great Biopic’s
Rocketman too! Taron Egerton as Elton John. Nominated for an Oscar but didn't win. Also, Austin Butler didn't win but he should have.
Movie was a 10/10
What a stunning performance. wont be surprised if it goes down as one of THE great screen performances. Butler went so deep into the character, I felt that I was watching Elvis for real.
Always great to see Andrew! My favourite guest host on here and Jaby's channel.🧡
I enjoyed this movie more than i thought I would. Austin was incredible!
I don't know if you know this or not but Elvis and Austin Butler both have in common they both lost their mother when they was 23 years old, as you can see Austin was really crying in real life while he was doing a scene with Tom Hanks
You need to check out the original performance of If I Can Dream from the '68 Comeback Special. It's absolutely incredible
Ahhh yay I can’t wait to watch you two watch this. Austin deserves the Oscar
Yes he was robbed of the Oscar.
"I've never seen any of his movies."
"That's the next reaction series."
DO IT! REACT TO ALL 31 ELVIS MOVIES! I would love it!
You have no idea how they rushed the stage. In Kansas City, his drummer got thrown into the audience by girls on the stage.
Easily the best music biopic ever. I liked it better than Bohemian Rhapsody. By a lot. Its the 2nd most watched music biopic of ALL TIME.
Loved this movie, a hell of a lot, Watch it about 4 times, so good
The "switch", as many call it, was THE moment that made the tears Really fall...
I Went the Memphis on my birthday,it was awesome took a tour to Elvis house and also went to Sun records and went inside Elvis two planes
RIP Elvis
Bro I’ve been waiting for yall to react to this for 2 years what took so long guys ?
I mean if they watched on Netflix it wasn’t available till like Dec 31 2023
My dad's side of the family has always been huge Elvis fans, and all of them loved this. It was a great performance from Butler, and honestly while it wasn't his best role by miles Hanks wasn't that bad in my opinion, I can get why people didn't like framing it from the Colonel's perspective but it furthered the sympathy towards Elvis that way. Amazing costuming as well
this movie was better than i expected. my favorite musician cinematic biography is rocketman with taron egerton. it’s truly a crime it wasn’t nominated for more awards, it’s an INCREDIBLE movie
What is more of a crime is the film was nominated for 8 awards 1 being best actor for Austin and it was shut out no wins at all.
After Romeo + Juliet, this is Baz’s best film 🎸🧑🏻🦱
Priscila was 21 when they got married. She was NOT a child bride.
That’s good. Tho she was groomed from a young age.
Who else remembers Austin Butler from Nickolodeon (iCarly and Zoey 101)?🤣
He’s really grown as an actor💪🏽🔥. He was great in this movie🙌🏼
Loved this movie and Austin Butler did a fantastic job!
Loved it,, I forget how young Elvis was,, so sad
My grandpa served with Elvis in the military. There’s a pic with the 2 of them.
Love it! Fun fact: im related to Elvis!! He was my 9th cousin on my dad's side!! I am still pissed he didnt win that oscar and pissed at the cornal
if you wanna do more research on Elvis and his growing up situation you should watch "baz luhrmann interview elvis presley’s childhood friend sam bell" on youtube !
5:44 The chickens are dancing because they're standing on a hot stove.
Not hot enough to burn their feet, just hot enough for them to keep moving their feet trying to get away from the the feet, so they look like they're dancing.
Y’all need a shirt that says “I understood that reference” -Andrew cuz he’s says it everytime, I think it’s his thing now😂😂😂…he just understands
