    Since I have been doing daily intermittent fasting, regularly omad -one meal a day, I came to believe that fasting is the most important thing for mental and physical health, along with breathing exercises, workouts, spending time in nature, meditation, yoga, qigong etc.....I also do cold exposure in winter here in europe, and it also helps to awaken the body'natural healing and striving mechanisms....Thank you for the useful info, it is exactly so😊❤......my skin is cleaner, my bile production has increased, my mood is stable, I feel good, I am toned, .I have more energy, I just do what needs to be done meaning I rarely procrastinate, my thinking is sharper, more focused.....😊

      Wow. So idealistic.
      I have asked acharya as well.
      I would like to know when we say ardha upavas or purna upavas,
      Is morning tea and any fruit consumption as BF a break to the intermittent fasting? I have two meals daily lunch and early dinner. But is breakfast of desi tea, and any bread/fruit considered as a third meal?

    • @monikakrall3922

      @@bhogapappu4527 The purpose of fasting is to cleanse, detox the body. Dry and waterfasting is the most effective, induces autophagy. any liquid that is not water will reduce the efficiency of the fast little or more. Some green tea, herbal tea, lemony water, even coffee without sugar, will not break the fast. High glycemic, sugary drinks will break the waterfast.There is also juice fast, where juices, smoothies can be consumed, it has also some cleansing effect......any solid food is breaking the fasting. I sometimes combine waterfast with juicefast, I drink mainly water, some herbal tea and if I am very hungry, I drink a celery-avocado smoothie, or veggie juice.......I hope this helps, thanks and have a nice day :)

    I thought about this just this afternoon. I eat just 1 time a day, so I fast for 16 hours easy. but I eat very late, because I wait for my peaceful time at home at 9PM. I realized this afternoon that my agni is weak at this hour, and I should eat earlier. I'll introduce this in my diet. thanks!

    This is great, thanks. I also wanted to add some more information here. Fasting will help remove negative thought-forms as well as destructive habits. From a physiological stand point, one of the healthiest things you can do is fast. It increases autophagy - body's self repair mechanism (autophagy decreases with age but you can boost it with fasting), increases growth horormone production and stem cell prodcution - so in other words your tissues/organs will start healing themselves. Not only that, it will increase neurogenesis - increase the rate neurons are made and repaired. It also boosts the mitochondria in the body - your energy will begin to increase by a lot. How to start - its very very easy. Your body will adapt very quickly. The first 1 to 2 weeks you want to stop eating breakfast. In the beginning you may feel tired - this is because your body is adjusting. After your body adjusts to not eating breakfast, you want then begin a form of intermittient fasting. Eat between the times of 12 and 6 o'clock. 2 meals. Then taper it down to 1 meal and finally you can do a 24+ hour water fast VERY easily. You can do this every other day for maximum benefits, although going into a 2-3 day water fast will yield the most results. One final thing I wanted to add - make sure when you're fasting that you get live vitamins/minerals - I have a green powder shake w/ water in the mornings which contains all fruit/vegetable/wheat grass, super food extracts - this won't break your fast. If you take vitamins in pill forms - these are synthetic and are not nearly as effective as live vitamins/minerals.

      Good tips and knowledge. I know how fasting can be a boon to your life. I have been ON and OFF but somehow I struggled to keep on consistent manner. I have been trying since 2018 but still couldn’t build my regiment. I am well aware about all benefits and all to your life and body in a long run, in fact I have few books of Dr.Fung. But my issue is to keep on track on regular basis. Any inputs/tips for this matter, please?

    • @r1pp3dx
      @r1pp3dx Год назад +6

      @@Sonia7spice So what you should try doing is starting slow. You don't have to go into a 24 hour fast immediately. Try to stop eating breakfast first. So in other words, your dinner should be by around 6:00pm. So your fast begins at 6:30pm and you eat lunch the next day at around 12:00pm. So that alone is around a 17hr fast. And when you do eat, try to avoid too many carbs/sugars as these things increase cravings. But keep doing this until you feel comfortable. If you can stick to this, your body will adapt quick. Then you can move on to only 2 meals a day between 12:00-6:00, then 1 meal a day, then start doing a 24 hour fast. You can also choose to eat normal 1 day and fast the next day when you're starting out. If you take it slow, its achievable.

      Thank you for your tips. Yeah, I started with 12, then 14, and then gradually increased to 16/18 and 24 hours. I achieved some good results for few months. But somehow everything collapsed and now I’m struggling to restart. As you said everything is achievable and with baby steps I am going to do. 🤞

    Thank you very much for explaining this. I am suffering from glucose intolerance. And because that I have eliminated lots of food, including fruits, from my diet for many years now. But was still suffering with brain fog and waking up in the morning feeling tired.
    I recently started your 16 hours fasting, and felt a difference just after the first day. And I am continuing this fasting as long as it takes for the food intolerances to go away. I hope that it is possible to be reversed. Thank you very from Toronto, Canada 🙏

      I think craving for tea may be due to adrenal issues. Please see if you electrolytes are balanced. You a take fresh coconut water to which you can add sea salt or rock salt and juice of half a lemon for this. Take it in an empty stomach. Preferably one hour before food or two hours after food. You also need to eat only wholesome food with sufficient protein and good fat
