God has made us this way. Self activating or forcing the kundalini refers channelling the life energy from your muladhar chakra to your crown. The important thing here is to realise is you are going against God with such an act in the name of kundalini awakening. This is one of the most narcissist and atheist thing to do.

Can a prop be used instead of the heal? 3 knee surgeries do not allow me to put my heal in that spot. Perhaps a ball?

True. I have also been practicing this mudra for more than a year now and it brings great great joy. Very effective for overall balancing of the energies which keeps you physically healthy AND more importantly the spiritual benefits it ordains are beyond description.

for those who didnt understand how to sit on heel,or feeling immense unbearable pain..just sit on heel like however u are comfortable(like u sit on a chair,it will be automatically on the perinium) make sure ur spine is projected upward and straight and for anus contract..do what u do during constipation😂

Totally agree. Kundalini shakti awakening or any related kriya is not something to be taken lightly or practiced by watching videos and without sufficient prior preparation of the body. people don't seem to realise this at all. Anyway.. it's each person's choice...and consequence.

Wonderful way of awakening Kundalini. Needs practice regularly.
Great technique explanation as always. But there is a mistake in this. The concentration while holding the breath is not on the tip of the nose as shown but on the point between the eyebrows where the nose meets the forehead (hence also called the tip of the nose and creates confusion). Many yogis do that mistake in translation but the point to be focussed is Ajna chakra aka Kutastha.
Practises depend on purpose. You have seen certain books, but these books are written. After understanding that not everyone can attain whatever will be explained in detail.

As per Hathayoga pradipika this mudra is practiced after maha mudra and maha bandha. Also mudra demonstrated is maha mudra not mahavedha mudra. The leg shall be straight touching on the floor every point. Mahavedha mudra practiced in padmasana, then the tadan.

This is called MAHA MUDRA which is done after 6 months of practicing MAHABANDH. In MAHAVEDH, you press your buttocks against the floor and then do jalandhar and uddiyan bandh.

Moolabandha, actually is NOT tightening the anus..this is a very common misconception even amongst Yoga teachers. Tightening the anal sphincter is called ashwini mudra. This is a preliminary practice to moolabandha. Actual moolabandha is contracting the perineal body in the perineum. It takes a lot of practice to get this right

REMEMBER! Everyone talks about the immense benefits of advanced mudras and asanas, which is great for people who have been practising for years or are under supervision of a guru. Not everyone talks about the dangers of these “quick” activation techniques for beginners. Yes there also are dangers for raising your energies fast, both physical and psychological. If you are a beginner, DO NOT indulge in any of the advanced mudras learnt from RUclips or the internet just because you love the idea of raising kundalini. Please learn them from an experienced guru/instructor or start from very simple basic asanas or pranayama. 🙏🏻

you are right this mudra is for advanced practitioners and before doing this your nadi's should be purified.
first do the asana to increase energy
second do the pranayam to purfity the nadi's
then do mudra for channelizing the energy
and then do bandha to move the energy in an upward direction
if you are a beginner then simply start with asana and pranayama

Enjoyed this very much! Can you explain the differences of the effects of each variation? Is the second way kinda like a short cut because you are doing both sides together? And is it more thorough and effective if we do it one side at a time? or is it more potent if we do it the second way?
I'll try. The second way is not meant to be a substitution for the first. The second will primarily bring prana in through the base, and stimulate the kanda--where kundalini lies dormant--by dropping onto the floor. The first way is to bring prana and awareness up through each of the different chakras. The inward pull of the belly draws prana upward.

Your teaching is purely self less. This, as we know involves both attention or focus on the centres..moola, naabhi, vishuddhi and more importantly Agna through Maasika concentration or focus. Locking of breath outside and subsequently in the nabhi portion or stomach involves the ntense understanding and practice. Your good self teaches intently but this comes only when the practising person is keen and is able to absorb the techniques. Locking breath at certain stages and attention on the centres of moola, manipura and vishuddhi simultaneously comes under one to one preaching. More divinity in approach than the technicality is needed.
Blessed are those who could do this.

Normal state returns on its own, kundalini does not stay up
The chakras are the endocrine glands. Shiva = Christos. Generation / Organization / Destruction. Perfection = Balance. All things stem from self, love the inner self and radiate love. You are already perfect. Dissolve the ego through karma yoga and surrender to the absolute. This message will self destruct in fifteen seconds.
Shiva is all pervading consciousness
Christ is, as I perceive, THE light.
Words and concepts are limited and the Supreme Reality is beyond both.
But we try to convey as best we can.
Chakras are NOT the endocrine glands which are of the physical body whereas chakras are of the subtle body.
Karma yoga is 👍 but anyone suggesting that there is only one way has "missed the mark".
