Why the hell don't they make a top notch 8.4, that can use an S pen, and be just as fast as the S tablets, there is a market, I know I'd jump on one quickly. I just hate how it's either you have the huge phablets, that cost an arm and a leg, and don't fit in your pocket, or just the gigantic tablets which you can only realistically use while sitting down comfortably.
@@forthenext I looked into the Active 3, I didn't think it fit the price point for what you got. The removable battery was pretty cool, and S pen is definitely a plus. I'll keep waiting, I got a Tab A 8.4 LTE for 190 Cnd anyways, just to tide me over.
@@strongfp same here. The 8 inch niche is so dang perfect as a side companion for reading, browsing, watching. Basic stuff nothing hardcore. I wish there were more offerings.
I prefer the tab a 8.4 (2020) bc it has better screen resolution of 1200×1920p compared to 800×1340p on the Tab A7 Lite, thats a big difference there but thats not just it bc the tab a 8.4 also has a sharper lcd panel bc it has 270 ppi compared to the 179ppi on the tab a7lite which is another big difference, plus the tab a 8.4 has a faster processor (exynos 7904) which is around 20% faster than the processor on the tab a7 lite. I honestly dont give a f about the .3 inches difference in the screen bc its just such a small difference for the tab a7lite to win. But overall winner is Tab A 8.4 bc it also has a 5mp camera sensor on the front compared to the 2mp on the tab a7 lite
I tried both A7 Lite and the 8.4. Both got very bright screens. Coming from Nexus 7 with 1920x1290 screen from 2013, no lesser resolution small tablet has pleased me since except the ipad mini 3rd gen or later. Anyway, turned out the A7 screen is pretty decent. But before long I realized the blue is way boosted. I compared it to the 8.4, two Nexus 7 gen2, another Galaxy tab, Fire HDX 8, Fire HDX 9, ipad Mini 4, & an ipad 2. A7's color is the only one that is very off. I tried some color adjustment apps and couldn't get it right. I ended up keeping the 8.4 and returned the 7 Lite despite that the A7 has larger battery and was much cheaper, speakers on both sides when horizontal, newer, etc.
I just bought 1 used and it works better than I thought. I had a tab E and that was slow. I always wanted a Samsung Galaxy Fold phone for multi tasking but I'm not spending $1500. You can easily do split screen with no issues. The version I have can be used as a phone for phone calls or data.
I have both of these tablets. Both have good displays. And both have good battery time and both have good loud speakers. I ordered a new stylus for my tablets it's a universal one. But, it will well for both my tablets.
I have both of them and like them both. on both of them the sound to me is pretty loud . I also think the display on both are good.,And I am very picky.

Tab A7 light is better because it's bigger has the speakers more apart much cheaper and also you might be able to get 4 gigabytes of RAM and it's also a newer cuz it came out more recently
@lauraely00 Hey Laura but is it only being 720p bother you? I'm gonna give my mother my tab a 8.4 as she's recovering from surgery and was looking at the lite as a replacement. Is the screen quality decent for Netflix and RUclips? I appreciate any advice hun
I have both and the A7 lite has a terrible screen compared to the Tab A 8.4. They downgraded the processor by going with Mediatek instead of their Exynos line, and you can tell when using both. More RAM helps, but when you're looking at a screen that's blurry, has less pixel density, and is .3 inches screen difference.... It's like putting lipstick on a pig. The A7 Lite is unfortunately a downgrade
