I just bought this, but you're absolutely right. I would have shelled out twice as much for a more powerful 8 incher, but there's just nothing else on the market unless you want to buy an ipad.
My main tablet is the tab s7 plus but I picked up this as a compact portable device for work and outdoors. I think the display is absolutely fine and the speakers sound really good. As long as you don't expect it to perform like a high end tablet it's well worth its price tag
The thing is , it actually does perform like a high end end tablet in almost every way. It's Samsung, It's Galaxy, it's Android . Unless your your a 40 year old fan boy of Apple ? your no longer relevant in many ways. Don't really want to bust you , but check this unit out. Better.
Fyi, the widevine L3 issue on Netflix has been fixed, and now presents widevine L1 allowing you to stream HD content. I just purchased the A7 lite today, and when I took it home and logged into netflix it came up as widevine l3. I thought upon installation it would have updated the A7 lite to the latest firmware but it hadn't. I done that but it still came up as L3. I went into Settings > Apps > Netflix and disabled (this might not be necessary but worked with me) the Netflix app and then clicked on the vertical 3 dots in the top right of the screen. This allows you to uninstall updates. Then go into the google playstore and update the netflix app. After this log back into the Netflix app and it should show L1.
Had this tablet for a month. Honestly, I'm not a Netflix person so it doesn't really bother me much. But, yeah, I totally agree with you. It does great on watching RUclips, surf the internet, even doing work on the go (been using this as a compact sub for my laptop and it does it's job well with a bluetooth keyboard with a trackpad). Gamewise, on mini to medium gaming it performs well with very little to no lags at all, coughs and sputters on heavy ones like CoD, Genshin Impact, etc. I'm annoyed wkth the fact I can't transfer apps to my sd card without making it my default memory. But it's a budget tab, yeah? It's a nice tab. Great review!
You can also go into developer settings and change the settings to update that ability. You will need to also restart it once you do that. I am wondering is the Netflix issue fixed yet with the update?
Hi, did yours have backlight bleeds? (Little lights at the side of the screen when view a dark image, especially at night) Mine is had that since day one, which is a bit frustrating
I've got a tab S7 already but I really missed 8inch sizes tablet. Because my best tablet was tab s2 8.0. Low Ap and resolution isn't problem. And I only spent 80$ for A7 lite 4GB Lte version in S.korea Very satisfied.

It's good enough for basic use like internet browsing, Facebooking, watching RUclips, PDF reading and online meeting in apps like Zoom and Google Meet. It's a good choice if you have limited budget and if you can avoid gaming and heavy multitasking.
I'm considering it for reading pdfs and as a second device that I can use being out of my laptop. The only thing I'm concerned about is the screen. Is it fine to read pdfs and books etc? I don't really care about high resolutions or super fast things. I want a device that's affodable and I can study in it when I'm out of my laptop. Nice video btw. Just subscribed!
First, thank you for the sub! In all honesty, reading PDFs and books should be just fine. The text isn't quite as crisp as higher res displays but no to the point where I'd be concerned
I'd lean M10 for a few reasons... bigger screen, can store apps on SD card, no Widevine issue. However, if portability is important, the S6 Lite may be a better option.
I've had the Tab A7 lite for 3 months and I have had enough. I went and got an Apple Ipad 2021 mini and the difference is night and day. The processor and ram memory are far better in the Mini 2021 versus the Tab A7 Lite. I've done everything I can to speed the A7 Lite up and only had minimal success. Knowing what I know now, I would have went with the Apple Ipad mini 2021 instead of the Tab A7 Lite.
Here in our country you can buy 3 a7 lite for a price of mini 2021. If I have to spend that much I'll go for tab s7fe during sale. Android is much better than apple in term of functionality. You can have all premium apps for free in android.
Funny, I have the iPad mini6, I find it cumbersome, and not that light for a small tablet. I got this one to use as a Kindke, read mail, and get the news online. Plenty for my needs. I had the Galaxy TabS2 that was just perfect, light, great camera, that died for excess of use.

I just got a Tab A7 Lite a few days ago. After installing all my apps the 32GB of internal storage is completely full, to the point where I can't even update apps because there is not enough space. I installed a 128GB SD card, formatted it and tried to move some apps to the SD card but it says there is not enough space on the SD card even though it's empty. Can someone help me out. Also it seems that you can't actually format and use the SD card as Internal storage like on older tablets, for example I also have a Tab S5E with a 256GB SD card that has been formatted and used as Internal storage. I have tried everything I can think of but it won't let me move apps to the SD card. i contacted Samsung and they said I should be able to. The SD Card is a 128GB Samsung Evo.
i think it should. my brother has an amazon fire tablet (which is a lower quality tablet than this), but it still ran roblox. so this one shouldn't have a problem with running the game!
Im confused I bought this on black Friday. I got the 64gb one. I put in a sd card I already had & I'm able to move apps to the sd card. It is a Samsung sd card so I don't know if that makes a difference. I'm not real tech savvy either.
I have the Tab A7 Lite and it came with a normal charger (the 7W one) and it charges at a normal speed (Charging, 75%). I also have other samsung devices with 18W and 15W Fast Charging. I plugged those into the A7 Lite and it says (Fast Charging, 75%) My question is, is it safe to use the 15W Fast Charging on the Tab A7 lite instead of the one which came in the box?
I use my fast charger from my other samsung device to this tab. & It works just fine. I think it's safe coz d charger is from a samsung phone. Meaning d battery is smaller than this tab. & uses fast charger. I've used it more than a week already.
I own this tablet. I kinda regret buying this due to poor display, it's pixelated and washed out. It's also sluggish. But what I'm really disappointed is the poor display. Sluggishness can be resolved with minimal apps only.
I am watching this in Samsung a7 lte.He is right the display is good but not the best.It is good for online class but it is not good for gaming 😉 sometimes it go's slow.

No get the 8.4 2020 or the Tab p205 or P200 not this crap trust me. Those have IPS 1080p+ displays.
And yes it is a bad display given that the colour reproduction is trash compared to the alternatives I've mentioned above.

S6 lite works great for multi-tasking. Got mine on sale, don't pay full price for it...
I will use this to make animations and drawings, youtube and, discord. So this tablet is just fine for me

Yeah that's right. My understanding is you can get a 32Gb wifi only, 64gb wifi only and 32gb wifi & sim/4g.

I own this tablet. I kinda regret buying this due to poor display, it's pixelated and washed out. It's also sluggish. But what I'm really disappointed is the poor display. Sluggishness can be resolved with minimal apps only.
Does it have the OTG feature so I can transfer files to a USB stick?
I am not sure. I no longer have the tablet to test it. Hopefully a user who has it can comment help out

I like mine, I solved it's issues. Seems a bit heavy, must be the Battery.
It's ok. I got mine free from T-Mobile.
I am watching this in Samsung a7 lte.He is right the display is good but not the best.It is good for online class but it is not good for gaming 😉 sometimes it go's slow.
