  • How to Land Big Fish Without Breaking Your Landing Net. How many times have you seen people struggle to land big fish from a high bank?
    I've seen people break their landing net and lose a big fish because they didn't know how to land it properly, so in this video I'm going to show you how to do it.

    Another great video Den. It seems to me that nobody else down under goes carp fishing.. 😂 Or fishing for that matter. I'd love all tha River all for my self. Your so lucky.

      Thanks mate. Your right, there are only a few, if any, anglers who go fishing where I do. You also have to remember, it's a massive country, with only 25 million inhabitants, so people can be a bit scarce on the ground in some rural areas. Sometimes, you can drive for an hour or more without seeing another car on the road. And yes, I do feel very lucky. Lol.

      Thanks John. I enjoyed it so much that I'm making some stick floats and going back for another go. Bet you can't guess what the next 2 videos will be? Lol! Next time I'll do it as a tutorial on Stick Float fishing and show more of the fish I caught. Life's hard when you're me eh?

    Good vid. You can also use a bank stick with a broad top rest angled near the edge to allow you to move hands up the pole. Nice fish too.

    Hi sir, what is size of fishing line ,which brided live or flocarbon leader you use for crap like 5kgs or more

    • @FishingwithDen
      @FishingwithDen  4 года назад +2

      Hi Ravish. I was using a 6lb Breaking Strain monofilament line called Maxima this time, but please note that this line is actually stronger than the manufacturers stated breaking strain and it's diameter is also thicker than the manufacturers claim. In my opinion, it probably breaks at closer to 8lbs.
      The leader was 6lb breaking strain Shimano Exage which does break at the stated breaking stain and it's diameter is also correctly stated. Based on this, the leader will break before the main line.
      If I am feeder fishing, I have been using 8lb breaking strain Maxima. I have caught carp to over 20lbs on this line and I have full confidence in it,
      I don't normally use braid. I have tried it but I always seem to return to monofilament.

      When I was doing a float fishing that time fishing line itself floating all over pond. My fishing line is disturbing my colleagues floats also ,. after seeing your videos.i am learning

      Actually Elo. I'm in the process of making myself some Stick Foats and Avons. That will be the next video. After that I'm going to take them back down the river and see if I can catch a few more big fish.
      I did actually catch quite a few more than i showed in today's video, so I decided that using the new floats to show a full days fishing would be a good idea. It should keep me out of trouble for a few hours anyway. lol.
