Please consider supporting my RUclips Channel. There are 2 ways to do this:
    1. Use the 'Thanks' Button - Click on the three dots button below the video … Click on 'Thanks' and donate a small amount to help cover my costs. (You will need to be logged in to RUclips to do this).
    2. Via Paypal: paypal.me/fishingwithden?country.x=AU&locale.x=en_AU
I pay for all my cameras and audio equipment plus other expenses myself. So if you like my Channel, please help me to keep it going.
It doesn't matter how much and you certainly don't have to feel obliged to do it, but it all helps to keep the Channel running.

@@FishingwithDen there is a good reason I do not film myself fishing. Maybe an outtake vid would be good shows you are human?

My all time favourite way to fish. When I started fishing on the crystal clear water of the Leeds to Liverpool canal, the Tench could be quite finicky so I fished the 'lift' exclusively and constantly refined it over the next couple of years. Tench and lift bites are my two favourite things in fishing

I need your help, Den. I've gone a bit carp mad (must be in our blood because I was in Watford 😁).
I'm in Australia (Sydney), but I can not catch a carp to save myself.
I spent all night last night making wheatabix, cornflakes, raspberry, golden syrup, and creamed corn bollies.
I bolied them but have no idea how long to let them dry. I have a load of carp fish accessories coming from eBay and aliexpress.
Do Aussies give you hell for releasing the carp?

Hi mate. I can’t help you with the boilies I’m afraid as I never use them. I can, however, help you with everything else.
My first suggestion is to join the following Australian Facebook Groups. They are full of UK Expats and a lot of them use boilies:
      facebook.com/groups/aussiecarpfishos
      facebook.com/groups/550857588612957
      facebook.com/groups/445081722542473
      facebook.com/groups/melbournecoarseanglers
      facebook.com/groups/1891532427824199
      facebook.com/groups/157215701354429 (Sydney Coarse Angling Club)
Don’t worry if some of them are in Melbourne or Western Australia. We all talk about the same stuff and you will get plenty of help. For more local advice, including venues, the Sydney Coarse Anglers will be able to help you with that.
As for Aussies giving us hell for releasing Carp. You can just tell them it’s not illegal. Here’s a link to the government website which actually tells them that:
      www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/dpi/bfs/aquatic-biosecurity/aquatic-pests-and-diseases/freshwater-pests/freshwater-finfish/carp/more-information-for-specific-groups/for-recreational-fishers-or-community-groups#:~:text=It%20is%20not%20currently%20illegal,them%20live%20to%20the%20water
I hope that helps, but for more advice, you can always look through my videos. All of them are based on fishing in OZ.
      Cheers
      Den

@FishingwithDen Thank you so much. Will definitely join them. Carp slayers I'm a part of, but that's a really "Aussie" group.
I feel like I'm kid again learning this style of fishing. I've always been a saltwater and native freshwater guy.
I've become addicted to making boilies...I'm currently grinding up some old fish food for another boilie recipe 🤣🤣
