    When I was a kid my dad used to take me fishing before he died. We always did float fishing. It was such a thrill seeing the float bob up then shoot under the water. It’s been 16 years since my dad died and 16 years since I last went fishing. These videos really give me a good nostalgia hit and make me want to get back into it! 😁

    I know this is quite old, I've just watched it with my granddaughter, I'm 60 now, past tutorial, however how I wish we had this tech in the 70s😂, I started at about 10ish, I went fishing for 2 years without a fish. (less stickleback), a day I will never forget, I was fishing the river tees for dace, a man from Nottingham, (the tees back then in winter was a top dace venue) he stopped fishing and came to my peg, he talked me through the whole thing, simler to what you have done, never looked back at, 13 and again at 14 I was selected to fish the national junior championships for "North Yorkshire and south Durham" I can't thank that man enough, now days with tech at you're finger tips, my granddaughter is bang into fishing, this is a joy for both of us, well done.

    Another great fishing tutorial. I love keeping things simple and doing some float fishing. One of the best bits of advice i was ever given was to remember that "any movement at the reel end of your rod is amplified at the tip. You don't have to move your rod far when you strike." Keep it up lads. I'm hoping to get your book soon.

    I dont use splitshots to hold it, i use rubber stoppers, so i dont have to cut the setup off when i stop... just take of the top part of tje waggler, slide down the lead and rubber parts all the way down, so i can keep the rod and setup ready to fish in 30sec

    Always mix Groundbait before you leave or at least an hour before you fish. I wouldn’t use a pellet waggler rod for traditional waggler fishing. Your not chucking large pellet wags or splashers. Pellet wag rods have to much back bone and not as sensitive tips for striking through sunk line.

    • @nickwhite4632
      @nickwhite4632 2 года назад +1

      Do you mind me asking why you need to mix the ground bait before you leave?

    • @connorscoarsefishingjourne7680
      @connorscoarsefishingjourne7680 2 года назад +1

      @@nickwhite4632 groundbaits need time to absorb all the water throughly, if you have a GB that has more particles in it such as dynamite baits margin mix than would need more water so more time to work. Best thing to do is before you leave to go fishing in a round bucket over wet your groundbait by the time you’ve got to your venue or match peg for me. It’s very similar to cake mix batter. After that give it a good stir by hand. Make a ball if it sticks well and still feels damp it’s ready to go. To make it even better run it through a riddle to take out the lumps where the GB or particles took up to much water. If it’s dried out a little add a splash more water abd mix round again then riddle it straight off and it will be a lovely heavy fluffy mix 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

    • @fishingtutorials
      @fishingtutorials  2 года назад +2

      To be honest Nick, you won’t notice a difference in your catch rate if you mix your ground bait and hour or even a day before you go fishing. The bait is exactly the same and will do the same thing! Of course after about an hour your perfect mix might have dried out a little but a splash of water sorts it out :)

    • @connorscoarsefishingjourne7680
      @connorscoarsefishingjourne7680 2 года назад

      @@fishingtutorials yes you will notice. Especially in the cooler months when the silvers can take a lump of groundbait and get filled up quicker and pre occupied with lumps of groundbait instead of a carpet of attraction and your small hook bait, a dark active mix is great for roach and Rudd dace, you want a nice sweet, wirh a bit of fish meal in for skimmers and bream. Your 100% fish meal groundbaits are no good this time of year. Food content is to rich. ☺️ love the videos on the main channel keep them coming. 💙

I struggled with the fish for about 4 minutes before it left out of the water 2 to 3 feet. It was big (chub or trout not sure which). Big enough to snap the line.....above the float. For the next couple of hours, until it got dark and I went home, the float went up and down the river covering 20 to 30 metres on each pass. It was infuriating.

    I've fished once in my life, when I was about 12, but I'm looking at giving it a proper go this summer using a 3 - 4 mile stretch of the thames near me. Would you recommend float or pole to begin with?

    Hi sir, in chinese, for more float sensitive, they shot the float sink about 70%, then they will add bait to the hook to let the float sink 90% (now the hook bait just touch the bottom), i think this is very sensitive, when the bait is out of the hook, the float will up to 70% and we know that no more bait on hook
    Comback in your tutorial, i still dont know how you treat with float, splitshot, hook weight and the presentation of hook bait at the bottom.
    Can you help to explain in detail? Im gratefull thank you sir

    Might seem a dumb thing to ask but if u had a float saying 2AA would u add two AA locking shoot and if it says 3AA would u add 3 AAA two one side one the other side ? And a couple of stoz number 8 and 10 down the line near the hook

    Can I ask, if a float has a stated split shot weight, how do you know how much to place above and below the float & how much allowance remains to place down toward the hook length? This always catches me out.

    I've give up carp fishing just got bored waiting for alarms to go off. Felt like I wernt fishing. So it's nice to see float fishing vid also love feeder fishing as that's what I done before the carp buzz got me.now 51 yrs of being a fisherman I'd say 26 yrs was carp fishing only so last 2yrs gone back to float and feeder and have lots of guru items love the drag line I use 8lb drag line and very strong so far had 3 twenty pound carp on it whilst feeder fishing wasn't expecting them on mixed fishery.

    Loved the video and followed all the advise on my first waggled fishing trip. Happy to catch a good perch and bream. Trouble is, for some reason I can’t cast very far. Not sure what I’m doing wrong the waggler just doesn’t want to fly far? Happy for any and all suggestions

    What a great video. I’m a dad who’s never fished and my son is learning so these are quality. Can I ask with lots of weight towards hook end does that sit on river bed and bit of line with hook floats back up just above river bed!? Hope this makes sense

    When I go fishing I don't use the biggest hook but I will use the strongest line cuz once I caught a 6-20 kilo carp and my line broke, I saw him, he was the size of my body (13 yo example) and now he has to swim whit the hook, I hope that on Friday I chach same fish to take a pic finally and remove old hook,
    Love yo vids mate

    I don't think moving the split shot to adjust depth is a good idea. At least not for begginers. You are more likely to damage and curl the line like this, which will make it tangle more frequently on top of making the line weaker.

    The first and only tench that I caught the bite was very strange, the float went down but slowly slide away but if I stuck to early so I had to allow the float to almost disappear out of view then I struck and connected and like I said I caught my first tench 😊
