Tips to land large fish off the rocks without a net or gaff

What do you do if you have a big fish but don't have a net or a gaff or the waves make it difficult to safely gaff your catch? Here are some tips for the beginner on safely beaching your fish and not losing it by using waves to bring it up the rocks.

I never use a gaff or net, even for kingfish. Just safer being able to carry less gear out onto the rocks But great video man, keep up the good work 👍

What if the rocks are covered in oysters and you can't really get down and it's a fish you shouldn't kill?

Pull the fish close to the oysters so that the line gets cut on the oysters and releases the fish. If it's lip hooked the hook will rust out pretty quick (or they rub it out on the bottom). If it's deep hooked then land it and keep it.....
