I love the musical journey Alynda has taken me on through out the years. She writes and sings with tremendous passion.. Bravo to Hurray for the Riff Raff.
All that built up momentum playing music in one genre just to step away from it a abandon those country fans. I'm not sure if I want to see them live. I'm a sucker for sad country songs. I guess if she follows her musical dreams that's fine but don't lose those same dreams at the same time because this is a new fan base she is appealing to.
As one of the new fan base, i love this sound, hopefully new and old fans will come together one day like radiohead fans have kind of done it only took 20 years.
completely different from her roots - money makes the world go round. not my stuff - what a pity, that the OLD HFTRR has died. and if Alynda were honest, she would have made a new name for this mainstream pop crew - nothing to do with the former HFTRR.
I am disappointed in this band. Their sound was wonderful in "Small Town Heroes" period. But new album and live performances with new material is absolutely not interesting. Pity(
I am in the opposite lane on your highway. Thought their previous albums were fine, just okay, but this is not only their best album, it is one of the best albums of the year so far by anyone.
It's all a matter of taste. They are definitely evolving in a good way. While they may never release something as powerful as St. Roch Blues, those keys at 7:30 are intoxicating. I love the proud Latin flavors this album has that "Small Town Hero's" lacked. I think this album sacrifices a traditional sonic palette for a minimalist, direct, humanistic delivery. Just look at the song Pa'lante.
Calling them a band is kind of misguided. The backing band was completely replaced for this album. It's definetely a different direction for her, but I can imagine how she felt that she had ran her creative course with the original band. To me its not better or worse, just very different
One of the most underrated bands/albums of the year. Really a great album and performance.

Bravo to Hurray for the Riff Raff.
HFTRR and KEXP are two of the best things ever created.
I'm totally captured and moved ... what a gem ... in a necklace of pearls!
Love that!
I love this band and love this new sound.
This is the album/band of 2017.
She's amazing!
Great as always in KEXP
Alynda is great not only for her voice and her lyrics but also for her personal philosophy
the bassist's sly wink at ~7:20 is so good. she's saying "fuck yeah bitch" with her face and it's glorious
i love her voice
NEVER FORGET PUERTO RICO LOVE YOU FROM BROOKLYN
Pa'Lanteeeee Carajo!
Greatness
Hell yeah
best band ever!!
brilliant!
got my tix for the L.A. show in April
Alynda’s original lineup touched my soul while this just makes me want to dance.
Her music is so important
i loved this band what happened to this band
I don't like that they don't have a fiddle player anymore. I think it takes away from their sound.
Band members' names?
Turn up her mic,the intrumentals are over powering her vocals
Sarcasm?
Turn up your music
Not sure their sound is anywhere near as good as their earlier stuff..I’m my humble opinion ...
I thought you jagoffs was bloograzz? Wha happund? Dang

Sounds to me that she is finding her roots
There is nothing about this band that suggests sell out. They're just experimenting with different sounds.
What a pity she had to end this concert with that song.
What's part of celebrating her culture and telling people who struggle to fight on is wrong to you?
The freshness and originality is gone, along with the fiddler. This is wasted.

You're like those oddballs who shouted "Judas" at Bob Dylan in 1966 because he started playing electric.
St. Roch Blues is so beautiful & powerful - - just tuning into this new clip and grateful for it.
More like Boo 👎🏿 for the band.
