Honestly, regarding the silly / grounded debate, I like a mix. I like the kickass action of the last two, but I also like it when it takes itself seriously. Part of the reason King of the Monsters is still my favorite entry in this series. Anyway, I’m excited to see what Grant brings to the table. His film gallery looks quite good, so hopefully he can bring back some of that magic that was lost with Adam’s films.
Here's the thing about Jet Jaguar. He is a controlled robot, people do operate on the dude to move around. But his story is that his AI was so advanced, he sorta gained sentience. He had free will in a way. I hope they keep that element IF he does make it to the monsterverse. It would be a shame if he just became a basic Mech
I would like to see Gigan, introduce some aliens and space monsters. That be more fun if Toho becomes more relaxed with the licenses for their other monsters
I Am Mother was a great Netflix film. It premiered in the US as a Netflix original but unsure worldwide. Rose Byrne as the voice of Mother was pretty awesome as well as I am a huge fan. I will be watching the next GxK for sure.
I feel wingard gave more attention to Kong through this series because he had unlimited freedom to do as he pleases. Unfortunately, Toho has so many restrictions and conditions that have to be met whenever Godzilla’s rights are given on the big screen. I really hope with all the success the monsterverse and Godzilla in general has made throughout this year really allows more freedom in the next movie. Really hope Toho loosens the collar a bit and really allows legendary to cook something serious.
I also hope that Toho loosens Godzilla's restrictions but I do believe there were ways to work with said rules. Godzilla 2014 and King of the Monsters were proof of that, we just didn't get more screen time with him to explore his character more.

Godzilla deserves it honestly. Fans have wanted him to break the side character role since 2014 and after Kong pretty much got 3 films of that, it's only fair that Godzilla gets the same treatment.

My only concern is that does the director actually know Godzilla films, they say monsterverse but that's just an era there's more movies besides that. Hard to say goodbye to Wingard but this new director has been a giant monster fan for as long as he has been a fan of anything he said so hope he makes a Titan impression on this franchise.

Here's what I'm worried about. Legendary hasn't been keen on keeping the Monsterverse on a tight leash and thus the directors pretty much have unlimited freedom of how they make the movies so it's really up to them. I really hope that the next movie is well made because we have also been blessed with passionate directors who love this franchise and it would be awesome if Grant has close to that level of passion. Also here's how I would plan out the Monsterverse if I was in complete control: 1. Mothra and especially Rodan should have gotten their own solo films after King of the Monsters and that should be the case now. Spread more fame to other monsters that aren't as well known and if the general audience isn't interested, the fans will be cause we've been waiting a LONG time for this. 2. We've pretty much established a trend of mythology from 2014 to 2024, so I think it's time to give that a break and start sending in man made monsters instead. Biollante and Hedorah are perfect choices for this and this would later lead up to the worse man made monster Destroyah. 3. After this we move onto the alien stuff, having Gigan and Megalon introduced, as well as possibly have a solo King Ghidorah film where we explore his origins as he destroys his first planet Venus and have him later be revived in the modern era.
yeah not gonna happen. Love the enthusiasm but Legendary can't do a solo Mothra or Rodan film, those are Toho monsters and they have to buy from Toho to use them, that's why Mothra almost didn't even make it to GxK because of Toho.

There are 3 main choices for the next villain that's big enough to warrant Kong and Godzilla teaming up again. The first 2 that i wouldn’t want are Mecha King Ghidorah and Destroyah, personally these guys need to be hyped up more prior to them making their debut. They're big enough threats that should be hinted throughout the Monsterverse. This is why Space Godzilla would be the perfect antagonist. He's a big enough antagonist but not to the level of the other two. Plus, they could easily include him by explaining how he was a Gojira who absorbed a special radiation in the hollow earth and was sealed away by both the Kongs and Gojiras for being to destructive. Though Ideally I'd want Kong and Godzilla to have their own solo films prior to a third team up film.
Or, and hear me out, we've already gotten two Godzilla and Kong team ups, so why not have it where they both face something solo? They would both still be in the movie but in separate environments, aka Godzilla ÷ Kong (the name is dumb).
Watch him guest star on Corridor Crew. Not only is I Am Mother a great film, but the director understands vfx work as well and works with his team on his shots. Just like the director for Godzilla Minus One. At the bare minimum, I know for a fact this film is going to look amazing and have great camera shots.
Sad that Windgard left. He did awesome in both Godzilla vs Kong and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. I just hope the new director will do well and I say the villains in Godzilla x Kong 3 should be Destroyah while Biollante and Spacegodzilla for Godzilla 3 wirh both Mothra and Rodan appearing and save Gigan for Monarch season 2 as the main villain. Jet jaguar is a robot not a man in suit and yes i know it was a suit in singular point but then in turns into a fully controlled ai robot. No one controls jet jaguar its a fully sentient robot and dont act like one mistake means that it cant work again.

I think these movies make money BECAUSE they're silly. It's like the opposite of the new Planet of the Apes. People love those because they are serious as hell. But the Monsterverse is kinda pigeonholed into being the silly universe. Maybe the Monarch show can help people understand there can be a heavier and more serious tone? But that's a very small audience.

Wouldnt it be crazy if they reintroduce the new Jet Jaguar... only to reveal in the end he's not a robot, he really Kong in an armored bionic suit. That would shut the box office down. I can dream can't I. Smh. 😔 Because If Destroyah is the next threat, there can only be 2 more movies after that for Godzilla. One featuring Biollante and the last one Space Godzilla. Because after Godzilla evolved after those fights. No other Kaiju stands any logical chance against Godzilla at that stage. Unless you give Legendary all of Shin's and Snow's abilities in the final one. Instant teleportation, tall and spine lasers, cold plasma, emp blasts and shields... etc. Sp this next movie if not done right can make the godzilla franchise obsolete like starwars if they mess this up. P.S. I believe the ending of Shin Godzilla, the tail was him evolving Destroyah's mini doppelganger ability.

The 2014 Godzilla atmosphere was great and that’s what we needed. Watching these recent Godzilla monsterverse films feel like kids movies with no threats whatsoever. Never did I watch Godzilla X Kong with myself at the edge of my seat. Literally no feeling of ‘oh wait something could happen to Godzilla or kong’

Varan doesn't get used alot, he is probably less expensive than Goji and Mothra so maybe we could get a solo film of him
