My grandmother has a craftmatic 1, motor and functionality still work great, but her boxspring/foundation is heavily sunken in on the side that she sleeps on. Is there any way to just replace the foundation?

It sounds like you’re describing that her mattress is worn out and needs to be replaced. As for the CraftMatic foundation, it is manufactured with rigid plywood decking that should not sink.

OK I understand now. in those cases, we remove the upholstery and replace the block foam that you’re referring to. We can special order a new pre-fitted upholstery cover, but you would have to find a foam manufacturer nearby or an upholstery store that can cut you a piece of block foam that is your bed’s dimension.
