    Great video, super informative. Question: do you know any beds that utilizes a push-pull motor as opposed to the push only motor?

      The motors are extending and retracting their drive mechanisms as they raise or lower the decks, but the difference is in how they are attached to the decks. Generally, they are not directly attached to the decks, but instead essentially "push" the decks up when raising, and for safety reasons, most bases use a gravity-release system, allowing the decks to "fall" instead of forcefully "pulling" the base to a lowered position. Granted, I'm not familiar with all of the adjustable bed bases manufactured worldwide, but I don't know of any base that directly/forcefully "pulls" the deck to a lowered position.

    Hi, can I retrofit a motor to my manual adjustable bed? I seems logical unless I'm missing something. Disabling back pain. Thanks.

      Generally speaking the engineering of the support deck and the mounting points for a motor and a central control module would be lacking and inappropriate (and possibly dangerous), so this is not something I would recommend attempting.

      I'm sorry, but I have absolutely no clue what you're talking about. You'd have to be more accurate and descriptive with the part you're attempting to name, and then I might be able to provide some useful advice.

    Very informative. Question though, what makes a given actuator a head or a foot motor? I would think they could be identical based on the use and specs.

    • @BeducationMattress
      @BeducationMattress  11 месяцев назад +1

      The range of motion required, area allowed for placement and articulation, and force required would be a few of the primary concerns.

    Where can I order the actuator for the foot of my bed?

    • @BeducationMattress
      @BeducationMattress  5 лет назад

      You'd want to contact the manufacturer of your specific adjustable bed base. Most manufacturers post customer service numbers on their manuals, and these service centers can usually put you in touch with the correct parts suppliers if they don't carry the part in stock themselves.

    what can you do when the motor does not stop until it can no firter down?

    • @BeducationMattress
      @BeducationMattress  10 месяцев назад

      I'm not a trained technician with adjustable bed bases, so I'd recommend you address your concerns to the customer service number contained in your adjustable bed manual, as those technicians are schooled in what may be causing your issue of the motor in your base unit running until it goes flat. There are also companies who specialize in replacement parts for adjustable beds (a quick online search will provide you with quite a few choices), and they may be able to help troubleshoot your base.

    What is the red screw for

    • @BeducationMattress
      @BeducationMattress  4 года назад

      The red "screw" is actually hollowed-out on the inside. It serves to help center and secure the top of the screw-drive shaft coming out of the motor at 2:25 of the video.

    My foot part of bed is stuck upward

    • @BeducationMattress
      @BeducationMattress  2 месяца назад

      It could be an issue with the motor itself, something preventing the foot section from moving downward, the central "brain" of your base unit, or maybe even the remote control. Best to contact the customer service number for your adjustable bed for their best suggestions of what to check.
