    It's better to have it drop on your fingertip and use that to spread on your face, than using palm which will absorb most of the serum.

    I know that in terms of vitamin c, their formula is the best one out there in terms of studied and stability - as it reacts to air. I’m based in the U.K., and it’s £92 here which I personally find outrageous for a 30ml bottle.
    Having said that, I will reiterate; in terms of vitamin c, Skinceuticals is the best on the market. How could they improve? Dropping the price to a price point around say, The Ordianry (which their products are affordable) in addition to packaging the formula in an airless pump… it’s safe to say they wouldn’t do that.
    This is my knowledge based on watching 19 seconds of this video because I have a RUclips eduction

      Facetheory do one that's reasonably priced, you can always just make sure to use a vitamin E type moisturiser after although I personally believe that at first you should not use anything after incase of purging. As was the case with me anyway, thought I was getting acne which I never have had 😂

      How long ago did you purchase it? Where from and Was it dark when you first opened it? It oxidizes very quickly so keep in the fridge between use.

    I really love this serum but mine also turned amber in colour after a while. For this price, I feel it is unfair having a dropper bottle instead of a pump bottle. It is impossible to use all the product before it oxidizes...

      From what I heard, it doesn't matter even if the colour changes, you can still use it.

      I store it into my refrigerator at +4-6 degree (celsius) and it never oxidized (i went trough 10 bottles and not a single 1 oxidized)

    I purchased this a few weeks ago and wanted to ask if this ‘serum’ is watery? I’m wondering because it definitely does not have the consistency of any serum I have used…just like applying water 🤷🏻‍♀️

    I go through so much of this bc I find it impossible to only “use 2 drops”. How is it even possible to spread 2 drops of the serum on face and neck?

    • @SkinZoneTV
      @SkinZoneTV  9 месяцев назад +2

      Hey there :) is your skin dry? Sometimes you feel like you need more product if your skin absorbs it super quick.
      I also find you need to work quick applying serums.
      Apply 2 drops into your hands, if you feel you need 3 drops go for it, mix then apply to face and neck. Finish with moisturiser.
      You shouldn’t need more than 3 drops, as you will go through it really quick. Generally a serum lasts 3-4 months if using daily.

    Hello, what I'm wondering is, there is a tazarotene routine. I know it doesn't get along with vitamin C. Some people used c in the morning and retinoic acid in the evening routine. Should I use the two on different days or can they be used in a separate routine in the morning and evening?

    • @SkinZoneTV
      @SkinZoneTV  Месяц назад +1

      Hey there, no we don't have any videos on tazarotene but generally as long as you don't mix them together at the same time, you can use vitamin c in the morning and the retinol/retinoid in the evening.

    I specifically came onto this video, hoping to find out if my skin needed to be totally dry before applying this product. I have heard varying things about whether your skin can be slightly damp when applying it. Unfortunately, your video did not address this but if you see my message, could you let me know? Also, I use a moisturizer with hyaluronic acid in it that I like to apply to a damp face but if I’m using this serum, am I correct in assuming that I cannot damp in my face after before applying my moisturizer? My understanding is that L ascorbic acid is very unstable and any water applied could reduce its effectiveness. Hope to hear from you.

      Hey there :) apply the serum to dry skin and wait until it fully absorbs before applying other serums and your moisturizer. Which exact moisturizer do you use?

    • @ScoobyDoosMom
      @ScoobyDoosMom 3 месяца назад

      @@SkinZoneTV during day, I was using Neutrogena Hydro boost hyaluronic acid moisturizer which I always applied after spits in the face with water as I hear, it’s recommended so the skin can plump up and absorb it as opposed to applying to dry skin, where it could draw the moisture out of the skin. Once I started using L ascorbic acid, I switched to using Elf Holy Hydration moisturizer while waiting to hear if it’s OK to spritz the skin before applying a hyaluronic acid moisturizer A chemist on here emailed me that I should apply the L ascorbic acid serum to dry skin, then any facial mist before the rest of my serums, and that spritzing the face after and before my moisturizer will NOT inactivate the L ascorbic acid (which I worry about because it’s so unstable) my Dermatologist said she wouldn’t add water to the face after L ascorbic acid for several hours, or risk destabilizing it, which didn’t help. There’s so much conflicting information and I realize it’s probably because a lot of this is truly unknown. At night, I use the Cerave skin renewing night cream after tretinoin. Sorry for the long reply. I’d appreciate any recommendations!

    • @SkinZoneTV
      @SkinZoneTV  3 месяца назад

      @@ScoobyDoosMom Look it should be fine since the product is already on your skin and absorbed. I would just wait till it absorbs before spritzing your face lightly and applying your moisturizer. However each product formulation is unique, so if you are still not confident on what to do I highly recommend you just reach out to Skinceuticals and ask them :) xx

      @@SkinZoneTV I use Timeless Skincare’s one, not Skinceuticals but they have given conflicting info & are only now revising it. I can’t get what multiple dermatologists have told me, our of my head which is that the unstable form of Vitamin C, it’s a bit of a crap shoot. That’s why I thought maybe best not to mess with it once applied. It never feels fully absorbed as it leaves a tacky feeling. So I could just pick another moisturizer that doesn’t require water first to play it safe. I love finding joy medical journal articles with science to back up information and unfortunately, there just isn’t any out there yet. Thanks so much for all of your help!
