The CE Ferulic Acid blew me away. I am someone who really enjoys skincare and has tried soooo many products (both professional grade and over the counter). This is, for me, absolutely worth the price tag. My pores appear smaller, my texture is smoother, and my tone more even. The only other things that have provided me similar results were chem peels or microneedling.
@@dr.jennyliu I have two questions and I hope you will find a minute to reply. When it comes to expensive items like this, how do I apply this when having a beard? I have a full beard but not lumberjack. More like Dr. Shah from Doctorly (1-3cm hair length). How do I apply here? Can the skin underneath my facial hair get or even need love too? Obama afraid to get most of the skincare products get lost in the hair and not reaching my skin. Or do I just use it on the upper half of my face above/around my beard? Second quick question: what's the benefit over the Pholretin CF gel vs serum by Skinceutical? The support told me they are identical efficacy. Thank you very much
@@kimtran2010 no tightening! Just better complexion. I could be wrong, but I don't think any over-the-counter serum/cream helps with tightening. I think you need to have a procedure for that type of benefit (think laser, micro-needling).
I got a little sample bottle of the Silymarin CF when I bought the CE Ferulic, and having tried both - I hands down prefer the Silymarin CF (especially as someone with oliy, acne-prone skin). Will start purchasing the Silymarin CF after I use up my CE Ferulic.

Hey Dr. Liu, Do you think it would be logical to these use L-ascorbic acid serums every 2-3 days because of a reservoir effect or would it be more prudent to use them every morning for maximum benefit?
Hi, i'm 36, i recently had fractional laser procedure, and i cannot made up my mind which one to choose between CE Ferulic and Phloretin CF...my skin is normal type, but i did fraxel laser because i had deep acne scars from the past. I just want to maintain and even enhance results of my procedure, to nourish both new skin from the laser and old skin, and of course for new skin and old skin to get even tone and to look healthy and radiant. Which one would you recommend? Thank you
Hi Dr Liu. Love your videos! I would be willing to invest in a bottle of SkinCeuticals vitamin C, but I am worried that the product will oxidize faster than I can use it. You say that a bottle will last you personally for months, but has it totally discolored by, say, 2 months? This was my experience with other C serums, despite keeping the bottle completely out of direct light.
I bought and started using my Skinceuticals CE Ferulic on june 10th of last year and im about to run out, the color hasn’t oxidized yet because when i firrst got it i immediately put half of it into a dark glass half ounce dropper bottle that bought off amazon and the rest kept it in the original bottle inside its box in the fridge like the half ounce bottle and use it every other day with great results, i would not recommend it if it only lasted 2-3 months but now seeing with my own eyes that it can last longer than that i do think it’s worth the money
@@karlatamez6257 Thank you for the reply. What a great idea to put half in a second bottle! The dropper bottle is really a terrible way to dispense a product that degrades with exposure to air. I wish they'd come up with something better.
@@dr.jennyliu i bought it off Lovely Skin which is an authorized retailer and also on Skinceuticals costumer care center they say that shelf life unopened is 3 years and once its open has to be used within a year.
Hello Dr.Liu, Which vitamin c serum can I use as someone who had rosacea prone skin? I do see some fine lines under my eyes so how do I prevent it from getting worse.
I like this product, but very expensive, I want to try the Drunk Elephant vitamin C, which has the same percentage as this one. I have melasma ,pigmentation.
Hi, Dr. Liu, I am using Phloretin C.F., but it's flaky on my skin, especially after I put on sunscreen. They just ball up on my face. What went wrong? (I use hyaluronic acid serum first, then Phloretin C.F., and sunscreen last)
So with melasma, Phloretin is better than CE Ferylic? I always wanted to try CE Ferulic, but if Phloretin is works better with melasma... Don't want to buy 2 products from, they are too expensive for that.
I feel Vitamin C is something that I don't really have any confidence in using it. I have acne prone skin, and my derm prescribed me tretinoin 0.1 % which does almost the same things as Vitamin C does (anti aging). And sometimes I incorporate Azelaic Acid 20 % into my morning routine to lighten hyperpigmentation and fight acne bacteria at the same time, followed with sunscreen. So my question, is vitamin C really helpful for my acne prone skin
The SkinCeuticals CE Ferulic triggers migraines in me, everytime I apply it. It's so weird, I've never had anything like this happen to me before, and I've used a lot of skincare products. I've since switched to dupes (Timeless, Paula's Choice, TruSkin) and have had no problem. The SkinCeuticals product is really toxic.
That doesn't necessarily mean they are toxic. Different people can have all kinds of reactions and some have none. I had headaches when I started using Ordinary's Argireline solution. Few times, it was really uncomfortable. But then they they were gone. First time I had this kind of reaction. 😎

They don’t work the same way but can both improve appearance of aging skin
Which one is good for melasma?
cE ferulic
Which would you recommend to someone with acne prone skin, on Tretinoin, in their 30s?
I love ce ferulic but Vichy is affordable too
Does this cause acne?
Does one need to apply sunscreen after using it?
Yes, always. In fact, vitamin C helps improve the efficacy of your sunscreen.
Absolutely!
Always
I hope someone will give me one of those as a gift. I really wish to try that but its very expensive for me. 😭
May silymarin vitamin kayo
