HDZero Nano 90 footage is 540P 90fps, not 60fps.
I have one on my 5 inch freestyle drone with the Freestyle V2 and I run it on the 540/60 mode for the increased penetration. I just ordered two more, one for my tiny trainer and one for a 5 inch racing drone I'm building, so I can run them in the 540/90 mode. The only thing I don't like about the camera is it has a little too much fish eye distortion for my taste. I'll probably try running it with the optional lens HDZero sells for a slightly smaller field of view.
Lens looks focused to 1 foot instead of infinity. Love this cam
I agree on both. Ordered another myself.
Looking forward to getting this in a build to try it out. Yours looks really out of focus tho
I’m definitely going to have to refocus the lens properly. It’s frustrating to get one like this out of the box, but as you know that’s just part of the hobby.
@@TitanFPV it sure does, I haven’t been the best at focusing them but I think I just got my nano lite dialed in, I focused it the best I could at some large txt about 20 ft away. That is probably good with that one being on a whoop. Have to figure out how to get the outdoor ones dialed in tho
I’m a pro at focusing due to Caddx constantly sending their cams out with dust on their sensors. 🤷🏻♂️
You've got the thing on screen saying 540/60 not 90fps
Good catch.
This whole system strikes me as nothing more than a digital encoder and decoder grafted on to nothing more than the common as dirt analog hardware. There's no magic going on... no packet retransmissions, nothing... you get the same static flashes of light when the digital decoder can't figure out what the bits are. They didn't even bother to make the static go to black instead of white. It only works with itself, and not analog cameras or the DJI V1 system. When I got mine, I just threw it unopened on the pile of RC hardware I had that hasn't gotten me flying as yet another disappointment. There's no camera or vtx in the box included, so shrug nothing I can do with it, and if there was, I'd have to gut a quad to retrofit it which isn't going to happen at this point. So that was my reaction to getting HDzero. I went right back to the sim which really DOES have zero latency (not 3ms) and a perfect image and lighting, at 1080p, not 540p, all the time, every time.
I'm just so sick of all the lies and false promises made by FPV product shill con men. Come up with something I can plug my rates into, connect a battery to, and be flying, instead of all these garbagey little parts that do nothing for me.
I agree with some of the things you said, but the whole reason there is low latency and high refresh rate is because there's not retransmission. There's no magic that can be done to avoid that - or DJI would have already. I'm assuming you're referring to the VRX because the goggles have a bundle with a vtx and camera. Comparing it to a sim is obviously not fair considering no other system even comes close to it. But sim vs real life is just not the same thing. HDZero is not the end goal but imo it's a step in the right direction
