- Aaron Lewis recently spoke out on his decision to call out fellow rocker Bruce Springsteen in his popular hit song "Am I The Only One." Aaron Lewis revelaed the details to Candace Owens on her podcast with The Daily Wire known as "Candace." "Am I The Only One" has become Aaron Lewis' biggest solo song on the charts all while noting his beef with Bruce Springsteen and his political stance.

I'm not into country music but my husband is. He had country music videos playing on TV one day and they featured Arron's song. It stopped me in my tracks. The more I listened the more tears streamed down my face. That song described everything I or I should say we have been feeling. Watching our history being erased, statues being torn down, everything being renamed. All to appease one side. Our forefathers weren't woke, half of the country isn't woke. I have family members who were in the military and to see them dragged thru the mud along with law enforcement by people who don't follow the law is insulting, infuriating even. When they play Springsteen on the radio, I change the station. I thought I was the only one who did that. This is my new favorite song, I can identify with the lyrics and I just love Aaron's voice. I admire the man for standing by his convictions and isn't afraid to call it as he sees it. So many artists are cowards, no one respects a coward. No one admires weakness.
The guy is literally northern claiming 'heroes' that literally fought for slavery should be praised. He's celebrating traitors of the nation.
I was done with Springsteen after he came out with a song called 21shoots.
Directed at the NYPD, for a incident that occurred about 13 years ago.
Putting down the cops that protect him at his concerts. I heard that all of the police refused to do guard duty for him after that.

The concept of being "woke" didnt even exist until recently, so no shit they werent "woke". My Dad was a Navy transport pilot in WWII. All my uncles served in that war. One of my uncles was a fighter pilot ad was shot down over Austria while trying to free it from the Nazis. Over the last three years, I feel they are all rolling in their graves and could never have imagined what our country has come to now.

‘Fade’ was released when I was in 6th grade by Staind and I thought the way Aaron sang it with emotion. That was until I heard ‘Am I The Only One’ and I could feel his sadness and anger put into this piece of work. Very powerful.

I just heard “Am I The Only One a few months ago, it stopped me dead in my tracks. I played it 3-4 times and then played it for my wife. It was like he was reading my mind exactly, just as most of the rest of everyone felt. I became a new fan of his music. I’m just a little too old to have liked his grunge stuff at the time, but am enjoying it now, along with his “Old Time Country and Western” sound!

This song is by far my most favorite written in the last 20 years. I was a springsteen fan for most of my life, saw him in concert several times, shook his hand, flew to jersey to see him and all that. The night he walked out on stage to support hillary clinton after she deleted 33K emails, he became dead to me. Aaron is not the only one to stop singing along, every time they play a springsteen song. I stopped long before he wrote this song, but I sing along with Aaron and with pride.

I had listened to Bruce since the early 80's. I remember him saying "In 1985 blind faith in your leaders or anything will get you killed". His mind sure has changed about putting faith into leaders for the past 20 years or so. I haven't listened to him in years and never will.
Springsteen played the Kennedy Center for the Obamas. Obama liked to have the minstrels and jesters perform for him ; Trumped liked to spend his time working for the American people.

Saw Aaron's concert in Amarillo a few years ago. The entire backdrop of the stage was an American flag. He did start until everyone stood and said the pledge of allegiance. The performance after was amazing

That song really resonated with me. I played it on Fourth of July and it was emotional on a day when everyone used to celebrate our country together.
When I was 18 I was a huge Springsteen fan, that was a long long time ago. I was young and dumb, before I had a wife and kids. Funny how life has a way of waking you up. Now we are on the verge of becoming a socialist nation thanks to people like him, God help us.

I like Bruce Springsteen.....I like Aaron Lewis. I listen to both artists regularly. It is possible like someone’s music, and like someone personally even though you disagree with their politics. One of the major problems we have in this country is that we can’t seem to be friends with anyone, or follow someone’s work and art who doesn’t have the same political views as us anymore. It makes me sad because some of the best friends I’ve ever had, had different political views than me. I blame social media, and the 24 hour news networks for just about all of the division that we have in this country right now. I’d love it if we could go back to the days where people weren’t defined by what party they belong to.

Springsteen was an inspiration to me when I was young. I learned to play several instruments inspired by Springsteen and his songwriting was fantastic. He has completely ruined himself as far as I am concerned. I am with Aaron Lewis on this one for sure!

Springsteen has been Springsteen from the beginning. He has been strongly opinionated the whole time, so you are likely to love him if you agree with him and take shots at him when you don't. Political opinions aside, few artists have stood up for the working guy as strongly as he has. I would put him in the same class as Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp and Neil Young. They always stand up when people need help. They do it whether you like them or hate them because it is the right thing to do. Don't let this crazy, polarized, batshit crazy time discard decades of someone doing the right thing. So you don't agree with him mandating shots to attend his concerts. I gave a few songs of his a listen and it's extremely generic country to me, his voice is far from unique and the lyrics are bland.
I don't know about all this american political hassle since I'm european but if I were to make a choice between Lewis and Springsteen from a musical perspective, it would most definitely be Springsteen, his songs have more depth and life to them.
