It’s insane how much these prices have gone up since this was posted
Luckily I've still got my FE Path of Radiance original copy, when I bought the game as a kid i hadn't even heard of it, but I had played the GBA ones which were awesome so I thought it was awesome there was a FE for the gamecube. Never imagined it would become this rare. It's such a great game, played the hell out of it.
4:31 the Nintendo world store was actually renamed to Nintendo NY about a year or two ago
Huh, did not know this! Good call
Here
Man I missed out big time on Pokemon Box :(
This is the lowest amount of likes I’ve ever seen on a comment by a verified creator
Why is that possibly something you measure?
i dont know if the gamecube is PAL protected, but in europe, there is a release of pokemon box, bundled with Pokemon colluseum for about 80$
You're seriously one of our favorite RUclipsrs. We love collecting, and you always have the most informative videos. Thank you, nintendrew!!
Agreed!
Ah, the GameCube. The first console to get me into gaming. I actually won mine at a Halloween raffle and I still have it to this day. One of my favorite consoles, next to the n64, wii, ps2, ps1, and 3ds.
I love gamecube
i'm happy that drew's brother's fans also like drew's content
camcrew ! I got one for 10 bucks at a thrift store
I got one for 5 bucks w/ melee at a thrift store
ThatPotatoGamer Remixes wow mine didn't come with anything, not even the power cables
mine didn't come with anything either :\
Gotcha Force looks awesome might have to look into that game in the near future! Going to set up my Game Cube for the 1st time ever in September! Watching videos on them now to see what games I may like for my collection. Thanks Drew.
WOAH i have the rarest gamecube game no way.... whats the special ruby/sapphire memory card that came with it worth?
pokemon box cost $20 to buy, and came with a memory card which normally cost $15, it was a special transparent half ruby half sapphire memory card, so because of that i bought a few copies of the game for the memory cards inside. wow thats crazy
I know this is late but the memory cards themselves are not worth that much because they’re the same memory cards that are bundled with the pal and Japanese versions Which are much more common and can be formatted to work with any region
Very lucky boi!
I have a Pokemon box/Colosseum dual box that came with the GameCube Pokemon Colosseum bundle. I wonder if it's worth much
Wow
never heard of Cubivore,fascinating title
LAWDhavemuhsee its a lot of fun. Reminds me of a strong minecraft origin story lol
LuciousShowcase Indeed :D also that pig at 3:27 reminds of Minecraft for sure
always was interested in playing it when I first saw images of it somewhere back in the mid 2000s but never saw it in person to actually get it.
Favorite weird game on the gamecube
It's great
Nice. I LOVE Gotcha Force! I'll never forget randomly spotting the tiniest blerb about it on Nintendo Power E3 previews, then spotting it in the wild. Me and my group of friends sank a TON of hours into Gotcha Force.
I literally saw MetalJesusRock's video on the GameCube HDMI and though... "I need that to play Gotcha Force again!"
I've been wishing for a Gotcha Force 2 since the Wii came out. Still hoping.
Oh, Nintendrew. I don't know why but your voice relaxes and informs me at the same time.
Ah.... the GameCube, my most nostalgic console along with the N64 & Gameboy/GBA
A collection I'm looking to finish, at least somewhat in the future. Thanks for this! :)
haha, wow I love it how particular games in the US and UK can be soooooo different in it's value. An example is Pokemon box over here is anywhere from £30- £50 and how you said chibi robo was $40 that game can fetch anything from $80 to £100+ in the UK it's insane!!!! Also nice work keep it up =)
All the listings online I’ve seen for Path of Radiance are $150+
This video was released in August 2017.
old Fe games become rarer every day
Luckily, there are copies of Radiant Dawn way below the 100 dollar mark. Unfortunately, with the fantastic games releasing next year, I have to pray for a truly bad year. Or I can just get a good game very cheap on Steam and calculate my savings from Steam sales.
Great job as always, Drew. I never knew about that Pokemon Box game, what an interesting story behind that release!
I really enjoy these kinds of videos. Thanks Drew, keep up the great content
Wow, I remember seeing Cubivore constantly at the Blockbusters I would regular growing up. I was always curious about it but I never ended up renting it... I wonder where that copy is now... good video!
Just found out about you today and gotta say, love these videos! Nice and short and very informative. Games i havent even heard about before.
I live in the UK so trying to get a hold of Path of Radiance for under £100 (approximately $130) is just about impossible.
Fire Emblem Path Of Radiance is 80$ worth now days?! Wow, and to think that i got my copy of the game for $15 bucks ten years ago on a Bluckbuster.
It's funny because I actually got Gotcha Force as a kid, and I just completed it 100%. Got every model in the game and maxed out my Ability Points. It's a really fun Virtual-On styled game.
ZacJackleReala I finally got my shadow variant cyber ninja after years and years. I feel complete now
Holy crap! I have two of those titles and they only cost me $10 each! Path of Radiance and Gotcha Force.
Nice! I got Path of Radiance CIB a few years ago for around 30 bucks.
Nice I have Cubivore complete in box.
Gotta love those cheap pickups!
I need path of radiance. I want play that game soo bad!
Foxlife 63 try the dolphin emulator so you can play path of radiance
Nice late night video! Thanks for giving me something to watch when I can't sleep. 😊
Pokemon Box was also available during a small event run for Pokemon Leaf Green and Fire Red. Places like the Mall of America would take over a full outside parking lot for tradeable in-game tauros, merchandise and a floor show. It was a really great time and it is where I picked up my copy of Pokemon Box for $60. I also picked up a Pokemon Mini with all the games. Good times. Good memories.
Chris Parenteau Additionally, it was available from Nintendo online, which is where I bought mine.
Great video! I like to go to flea markets and the like, so now I know what to look for. Thanks a lot!
if you ever do a Rarest SNES games list id love to see it cause I own a Hagane: the final Conflict which was one of those only sold at blockbuster type games and has the unique quality of being one of the few rare games thats actually alot of fun ^_^
I'm happy that I've got two copies of Path of Radiance. The first one is the copy my brother got at launch, the second is one I picked up CIB at a flea market for 2$.
i’m so jealous of everyone that managed to snag cubivore! i fell in love with the game the first time i found out about it
Sweet. I got two of your top five. Would like to see your personal favorite games list. Maybe expand to 10 games. Gonna have to get cubivore. It looks fun.
• It doesn't surprise me that Path Of Radiance is at least high demand, because Ike. I had no idea it was _rare,_ though. Good thing I already have it; I've been meaning to play the whole series through, and I can't skip one of the more important-to-the-series titles.
• I remember seeing ads for Cubivore as a kid, along with the mascot ("Alpha")'s trophy in Super Smash Bros. Melee, where the game was listed as "Future Release".
I never owned a game cube so i went into this expecting to not have played any of the games. first game mentioned was one of my favorites that i have played on it when i borowed my friends.
2:30 I have 2 copies of gotcha force! One I got new back in the day and one I got used a few years ago when the price was still low. Its one of my favourite games so I had to make sure I had a backup copy in case one was damaged, fortunately, as of typing they both still work just fine. It feels weird to find out that one of my favourite games of all time is also one of the rarest games for the Game Cube. I had no Idea it would become valuable when I bought either copy.
I wish some of these games were still so cheap. Would be an interesting video to see an update of all these rarest game videos with today's prices.
Great video! I would like to add Path of Radiance to my GameCube games at some point.
Bro, just as I was about to go to bed this vid swoops in
Gotcha Force is a rare game! Wow. Never would thought of that game being rare. Very awesome fighting I've still got from years ago.
Woah. The highest price for the game over here in the UK is £299.95 on Amazon. That's like a the price for a console.
Am so happy that I still kept fire emblem for the nintendo game cube for so long...as well with the walk-through
You deserve way more subs, the amount of effort in this vid is obvious
Pokemon Box was available at Best Buy in Canada if I remember correctly. I'm about 90% certain I didn't have to import my copy from the US when I was a kid. I have a Japanese copy of it as well.
I actually have one of these, how cool! ^^
I was waiting for this video, to be honest - haven't seen a Gamecube rare games video from anyone else yet :D
Now: Mario Sunshine is $70, Double dash is the same, TTYD is $200. Man, things have changed
OH MY GOD WAIT GOTCHA FORCE IS RARE??? That makes me really happy cause that was one of my favorite GameCube games that I still have today. It's cool knowing something I have is worth something (even if I wouldn't ever consider selling it cause of nostalgia for it lmao)
Also, I find it really funny how everytime I find a list like this, I groan because I remember seeing these at GameStop as a kid and just completely ignoring them lmao
Throwback to when FE was only $80 now we are talking close to $300 minimum
Wow I have Gotcha Force, I had no idea it was so expensive. It's an amazing game I've loved over the years :)
Oh dang I didn't know this copy of Pokemon Box I had was worth a little something. It was also available front the Pokemon Centers online store which was where I got my copy when it was new. If i remember right it was a budge title at the time.
*Gets ready for bed*
*Checks uploads*
Eh what's 5 more minutes?
Seriously though, great stuff dude keep it up.
Starting with my favorite game of all time and ending with a game I didn't know existed :D
I used to play Gamecube, it was a great gaming system, Too bad they don't use those no more
I didn't know that Cubivor was worth anything... played that silly game for years and still have it. Thanks for letting me know!
I grow up with the GameCube with my brothers love that thing
I have a copy of NCAA 2K3 somewhere in my house… my godfather bought it for me as a Christmas gift and never realized how rare it is! also I got Fire Emblem Path of Radiance when it originally released :) also somewhere in my home… I’ve lost so many games in this house geez
Actually, the Nintendo world store is called Nintendo NY now, isn't it? I may be wrong, but...
Cruz I’m pretty sure
I picked up Gotcha Force for like... 15 dollars at Gamestop.
Its one of my favorite games. It also has the reputation of being a *Gamecube destroyer* because for some reason, it overwhelms the hardware.
Wow, the PAL version of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire was so common stores couldn't give it away in Australia. Most people just bought it for the included Gamecube memory card and Gameboy Advance link cable and threw the game disc away.
Gadget Racers is a rare game here in tbe UK. It also goes for around £210 - £350
Man now I'm finding it extra crazy that we got the 2nd and 1st ranking games on here for free. $180 in the trash (it played, even though its box art was unsalvageable) and $220 just kinda given to us by some dude.
Poke-box in particular even had its memory card with it. Good stuff.
I had quite the wake-up call recently when I was watching a video about Pokemon Box and it listed it's a price on the second-hand market. I bought my copy with the case, memory card, and link cable on ebay for like 60 bucks like 10 years ago. it has dethroned my copy of earthbound as my rarest game.
I was hooked to Gotcha Force as a kid! Shame I lost the disc tho.. Still have the box, haha!
You make great lists but it would be nice that you would also include information were the games released in all regions (NTSC, PAL & NTSC-J). Of course we can always google that info but it would be nice that also the videos would include that info, at least as a text.
Being an early RPG/Strategy fan was a blessing.. I have day one purchases and still fully mint Earthbound, FF3, Suikoden 2, Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn and Path of Radiance, etc... I’m always wondering if I should sell it all but I always end up keeping them for the nostalgia
I found college basketball 03 a couple years ago at a goodwill for only like a dollar and I immediately knew what it was. My luckiest and best find to this date.
Got Gotha Force for $15 back in 2008. Can't believe it jump up high for almost 10 years.
Im surprised Phantasy Star Online: Episodes 1&2 wasn't on here. They had that selling for I think $90 or $100 at my local used game store
Great vid bro
At least in the UK, pokemon box was distributed as part of the pokemon coliseum special edition, not sure if thats any cheaper to find, but thats how i got my copy
I was so happy the day I found and played Cubivore for 30$. And my cousin had Gotcha Force. Fun game
Cubivore is my jam :D Still have my copy and play it here and there
I am really glad that I got FE Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn on release, RD is my favourite game, and PoR is tied for my 2nd favourite FE
I have Cubivore, but unfortunately it's missing the instruction booklet! I bought it like that years ago for around £15-£30 on ebay. I haven't even been able to play it yet, since it was never released in the UK, and I still need to get an import disk!
I actually own cubivore. I have it complete in box with the booklet. One of my few games that ever ended climbing in value.
subtly flexing that shiny machamp at 4:45 lmao
Yeah these are scarce and expensive but not as much as Disneys sports basketball. that game only has like 1 or 2 listings on eBay and isn't really mentioned much
My copy of FE path of radiance was worth $80 in 2017, now in 2020, it's worth 3x as much at $240+
Path of Radiance was the whole reason I got a GameCube. It’s still one of my favorite games.
Cool new vid keep up the quality content
I recently found out that some of those Disney sports games are quite pricey, especially the Basketball one
I really need to find a cheap version of cubeivore for sale, it’s looks like so much fun!!
The only one I have is Cubivore. I wish i hadn't sold it as a child. The copy I have was a recent purchase. Luckily at a much lower price than the value. Such a weird and fun game!
I bought Gotcha Force back in '03 because it reminded me of Power Stone (both made by Capcom). It's a fun multiplayer gamer, but the main campaign is a slog to get through. I had heard that they were originally going to make it into a franchise, but I guess due to low sales they never did.
dang I had cubivore as a kid and played the hell out of it. wonder if its still around somewhere lol
lol I got Gotcha Force back in 2004 for like 30$ still have it today :D
nice video subbed :)
Wow. I got Pokémon Box for Christmas about 6 to 8 years ago from my brothers so I don’t think it was that expensive then.
I seen cubivore and gotcha force in a gamestore at a mall where I live they were over charging for the two games.
Path of radiance for 80 ducks. Crazy that used to seem expensive. And I just bought a gotcha force for $500
I got only one thing to mention "Phantasy Star Online: Episode 1+2 plus"
NamekuBushi I found it at a thrift shop complete for 1$
@@aidanduncan3056 lucky
don't forget mario sunshine
Another great video from my favorite RUclipsr 😊
I was just about to play sunshine but this is more important
I honestly don't understand how you don't have more subs with your good editing, good personality, and good energy!
Path of Radiance is the only GameCube game I have. So glad my friend gave me her copy.
And I had Cubivore back in the day, bought it at Game Crazy for $30! Then I traded it in after completing the first run...
At my GameStop online, all these games were only $40 except the windwaker combo pack.....
For the cost of Pokemon Box, you could buy a used DS, used 3DS, and many years of Pokemon Bank subscription. Also, I personally sold Path of Radiance for $115 in 2016.
WHOA!!!! I never knew that Metroid Prime and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker were in a box set!!!
You're missing a big one; Disney Sports Basketball is worth more than 5 and 4 and is incredibly hard to find. If we're going pure rarity and not considering value then there are a handful of games rarer than the ones on the list. But still pretty accurate. Especially if they're cib and pokemon box is the big box version
Very nice list. Pretty Crazy an NCAA Baskebtall game was so rare. Thank you for sharing!
Yeah, Pokemon Box is the single most expensive "game" in my collection. Worth it! lol
Did you happen to research Phantasy Star Episode I & II Plus? I don't know if it was different back in August, but that game is $150-$200 complete
As always, all my prices are based on loose discs/cartridges.
