Gauntlet DS its freaking awesome. I played it with a friend in local multiplayer and it turned out to be one of the best DS multiplayer experiences we have ever had (with the drawback that there's no save feature. We played 5 hours in a row and all that progress was lost because of low battery)
...holy shit, I recognize Sound Fantasy! The musical painting bugs portion was actually released by Maxis in 1996 for Windows, under the new name "SimTunes". I loved that game as a kid.
I had no idea it had a SNES prototype...
Sound Fantasy definitely, 100% got released on PC as SimTunes. I had no idea it was even planned to be released on Nintendo, and I think that the PC was definitely a much better platform for the game.
Maxis did publish the MS-Dos and Windows ports in the US as SIMtunes for Maxis Kids they also imported SIM Tower.
I thought about Gauntlet and glad to see it make the list! I remember waiting for that game forever and eventually gave up. I hope that it eventually makes its way to future Nintendo consoles.

Diddy Kong Pilot looks interesting.
I agree it does, and I think if Nintendo had finished it that it would have been a decent enough game, as I've played the prototype for it not that long back via emulation on my phone with a MOGA Hero Power gamepad, and it controlled fairly well.

I think Diddy Kong Pilot would have been better in terms of branding than going for Banjo.
Sound Fantasy seems like a game that would have been right at home on the DS.

Great to see another video from you. The new studio looks great! In regards to the video, I'm surprised to see 'The Shadow' on here. I never knew it was a canceled game. Many years ago my roommate gave me a folder filled with SNES Roms. The Shadow was on there and it was pretty fun to play. I never realized it was considered a lost game until now. :D

I prefer Diddy Kong Pilot Over Banjo-Pilot. Banjo-Pilot always felt kinda off to me, and it became clear why when I found out it was originally Donkey Kong-themed. Playing it with Donkey Kong characters feels so much more right.

Sound Fantasy is basically SIM Tunes on PC. That was one of my top PC games as a child. Interesting that it was originally going to be on the SNES

There´s an early alpha for a GBA port of Resident Evil 2, It runs on a 3D engine.
You can find the rom with a simple google search.

I always wanted to try Diddy Kong Pilot, I have played Banjo Pilot, but still would have been neat to play and look at the DKR characters on GBA. :)

Cool video, and the Ape on the title screen of Bio Force Ape looks like The Ultimate Warrior, and I think that might of had something to do with why the game did not get released maybe? I could be 100% wrong as it's just a guess.

I remember playing the ROM of The Shadow like 15 years ago, so it's been floating around for at least that long. I never even knew it was unreleased.
setup looks great, you should put some cloth between the n64s with how they are stacked i feel they could get scratched

Sound Factory is actually a prototype for the PC game SimTunes, check it out! They're both extremely similar in presentation, gameplay, and even designed by the same person; Toshio Iwai.

I've been wanting to start a collection of my own, but here in Brazil is a little tougher than in the US, our prices are way higher and everything is more scarce, but I wanted to ask you something. Since my cartridge is a bit old and I got it when I was a kid, it is a little bit "bruised". Would it be worth to purchase a new one and give it a little love, since this game can never be an original?

Love the videos and would love to see a video on conkers bad fur day. More specifically the "fail" of conkers other bad fur day. I know there was suppose to be a sequel to the original n64 conkers bad fur day but could never really find a definitive answer on y it was never made
The Shadow : It was to be one of the few games on the snes to use Dolby Surround. It was apparently cancelled due to poor 16 bit sales

I'm surprised you didn't mention, Sound Fantasy SORT of got an official release! After the cancellation of Sound Fantasy, the designer, Toshio Iwai, went to Maxis to have a nearly identical game published to PC as SimTunes! Only the musical drawing part made it in, but it was greatly expanded upon with more instruments and sound samples to use.

You should put some paper towels or some soft material in between your stacked N64s. That way they don't get scuffed and scratched up. I used hanker chiefs for dust protection on my consoles. Which works great, but I can't see the consoles. Even though I know which one is which.
On Gauntlet --- I can tell you that the biggest reason it got canned was because of Midway's Chapter 11. *A LOT* of Midway employees actually ended up getting hired by Blizzard. Talks by Activision to buyout the Gauntlet Franchise were well underway in mid to late 2008 (and the biggest reason the game was canceled) but as far as I know that never went anywhere.
Good video overall, but Gauntlet was originally an arcade game from 1985. It also saw both a Game Boy and Atari Lynx release in 1990 as far as handheld games in the series.
