the Lucas sprite actually impressed me. they didn’t go for the easy Mario or Link sprites, they went for a sprite from a cult classic GBA game. confusing but they got the spirit!

Pi Wang is actually 屁王 which is pronounced “pee wang”. Pi (屁) comes from the Chinese word fang pi 放屁 which literally mean “fart” and wang 王 means king. So basically it is really “farting king”

Even though this is 2 years to late, I still want you to see this Nintendrew. The menu screen for the zone mini might be ripped from an online surgery game called operate now, nose surgery. For those who don’t know operate now was a series of games that you could play online with different surgeries to play. The zone mini’s background music sounds way to similar so maybe try looking into to it Nintendrew.
I knew this music sounded familiar! It opened a whole portal of nostalgia
Now THOSE types of games were pretty popular when I was in 4th grade

On the throwback system there were more stolen assets than just the music. For example CS-Fire had Metal Slug soldiers and Tank Attack had jets from Advance Wars

I actually own the "Trowback" system, exept it's rebranded by a german company as the "Retro Videospielekonsole" (this translates to "retro videogame system). So it looks like it's just one of these blank bootleg systems that are bought up and then they just put their own sticker on it and resell it.
I have a Gameboy styled one but it's rebranded as "Orb gaming" It was £5

The throwback is actually a bootleg of a different bootleg console that I happen to have found a while back. It’s called the ORB gaming “retro arcade game controller” and it looks like a mix of the famicom style gameboy micro and a game and watch. The games are the same, but the throwback’s design makes much more sense once you’ve seen the orb gaming retro arcade game controller. (yes, that actually is it’s name) you should look it up

27:00 Oh my god, I know that sound! It's was used in the opening to the Brazilian dub of El Chapulín Colorado in the 90's, possibly even earlier, but I wouldn't know.
That sound brings me right back to my childhood, I must've heard it hundreds of times. Seriously, that is not an exaggeration.
The show must be about 50 years old now, and you can still watch reruns on Brazilian TV. Everyone knows it here, I see people wearing t-shirts referencing the show almost on a daily basis, no joke. People use phrases/expressions straight from the show all the time, often without even realizing it.

The Throwback is indeed 8 Bit. It uses a so-called “OneBus” chip which is a successor to the NOAC but has improved graphics capabilities.
the zone mini also looks like upgraded NOAC powered to me...
