Guitar player here who loves both Zakk and Dime. As much i love Zakk he will never be Dime ...Dime was a finesse player and didn't pick every note. Very smooth but also fierce. Zakk plays like a lumber jack chopping down trees with his bare hands. He picks every note ferociously and has no finesse whatsoever. I never got to see Pantera with the original lineup and it's something i will always be sad about...but i just saw Pantera with Zakk and Charlie in Camden, NJ and Metlife and both times the show was incredible. I'm just grateful to be able to hear these amazing songs live and they're being done really well.
Dime will always be better than Zakk. That’s not a knock on Zakk’s skills but Dimebag always came off like he could play ANYTHING effortlessly, make it look easy, and have a ball while doing it.

Phil getting his voice back is a godsend. Pantera was cut short on the sourest of notes and i feel its good to honor the legacy instead of letting it end the hateful way it did.
Phil left Pantera in 95 to go on a tour with Down while promising Pantera he would treat his back pain... instead, he stuffed his face with painkillers and heroin to deal with it and remained with his junkie diva behavior throughout the rest of the 90s like recording "The Great Southern Trendkill" isolated from the band and having his voice in horrendous condition live... Until the 2000s when, again, he left Pantera but this time for good to be with his second band, Superjoint. Phil is a fiIthy human being and no, I don't think he's racist or whatever, he's ignorant and self-centered. I can't believe fans simply forgot how much of a headache Phil was professionally...

I think it’s a good homage to the OG line up but I am definitely grateful for being able to say I saw PanterA before they split up. AND that I have a signed Washburn guitar singed by Dimebag. Something I will always cherish.

As someone who has been a Pantera fan since my teens, (was raised a short drive from their studio/party house) I'm totally fine with Zakk's playing on all the songs. Not sure there is any guitarist out there who could nail every Dimebag riff anyway.

Zakk is doing an excellent job! No it doesn't sound like Dime but i really dont think it should sound like him note for note. Charlie is killing it as well. I was fortunate enough to see Pantera's live show a few times throughout the 90's and the only other band to throw down as hard as them was Slayer! Best 2 live bands I've seen.
