In this episode Josh Matson and Kerry explore the "minor prophets" of the Book of Mormon. They talk about Enos's experience, and even look into whether Enos is Jacob's son or a later descendent. They explore what we can learn from Enos, and how it applies to our families. They talk about the importance the Book of Mormon puts on remembering. They also explore how we receive our own witness from God. Additionally, they teach some valuable scripture study skills. They especially focus on how this helps us come to Christ, and the power of teaching in our families.

Thank you for bringing out praying that our children might remember what they were taught, and how it felt, this is my daily prayer for my children who are taking a different path right now! I pray as Alma did, then I go forward with love, and faith!

My grandmother use to tell me to "Remember to Remember" whenever I would leave the house as a young girl. Back then I wasn't sure what she was talking about. Now that is my prayer for my children. That they will look back to the time when they were taught and Remember 😉🙏

@@rusunnynow Can't you just picture God saying the same thing to us? In fact, I guess He does every Sunday when we take the sacrament!

We are all on the sin scale somewhere - wonderful reminder to check myself on self and other judgements - I love the discussion on remembering what was taught and wrestling with God, no matter where we are on the scale.... much appreciated brothers🥰

Your conversation about Enos brought to my mind the saying, "Sometimes I sit and think, and other times I just sit." Sometimes it's good to just sit and see what comes.
Thanks so much for the new insights!

I appreciate the thought about intentionally making certain times for silence. That was brilliant. Thank you both for this discussion.

It makes a difference for me when I try it. Elder Bednar's talk in conference made me think of it again!

Thank you both so interesting. Josh your experience with following the Spirit to visit the family you ministered to, so beautiful and faith promoting to see how the Lord is in the detail of our lives even to send a leader to speak to needs. You both will have loved Elder Bednar’s Conference talk. Stillness it can be such a challenge when stimulus is so exciting, when given the alternative of being unshaken, I hope to choose the later.

Josh's story was powerful, wasn't it!?! And yes, I felt like we were in tune with Elder Bednar's message. It was a wonderful talk!

Thanks for the discussion on "Train up a child in the way he should go." That was something that bothered me for a long time and I really like your outlook on it.

Great discussion. Thank you! I always thought the Book of Jarom was like the story of the Pride Cycle of the Nephite people in just two pages.

Am I the only one who connects Enos vs 8 "whom thou hast never before heard or SEEN" with vs 19 "I Enos, went about among the people of Nephi, prophesying of things to come, and testifying of the THINGS WHICH I HAS HEARD AND SEEN"???

You’re probably sick of my comments. But I never go away without gaining wonderful stuff I really need! Thank you very much.
Not sure if you’re aware there are ads during your podcast. I bring this up because someone else brought that up to another outcast with ads and they were able to make a change and the ads stopped…🤷🏻‍♀️

I am never sick of your comments.
I thought I had set it so that we didn't have ads in the middle. Somehow every now and then it switches to having ads in the middle without my knowing. I will work on changing that back again. Thanks!
