"Would you like to?" I got the giggles over that. The Monica character is developing into an organ dealer, and I'm here for it.
Monica is the real villain of this arch
Monica is my favorite character in the Atomic Shrimp cinematic universe.
Monica isn't a character... I'm actually dating her.
“I help people”
Genius
John Barosa stole her heart : she'll do it to others... literally.
I didn't think I'd get a bigger laugh then "I love transactions!"
but then "Would you like to?" happened.
😂
Transact the bridge.
same
Monica swiftly went from innocuous to terrifying. Brilliant. More of this please, as and when it happens.
I loved that one 😂
Have you ever committed war crimes? Would you like to?
I ordered a genocide, but the drive through guy said they don't have that
@@asteroidrules define war crimes.
XD
I absolutely love "this summary isn't very detailed", it's such a simple idea but forces the scammer to write two emails restating something they've already said.
Yeah, it forces them to engage in the conversation rather than just copy/paste - I'll be using this tactic again
@@AtomicShrimp you are falling for my evil plan .,,,,,,:)
@@AtomicShrimp I feel like the short form of a three or four line summary also forces the scammer to try to phrase the basic premise of the scam, which is much more obviously a scam when read without all the side tangents and unrelated extra details, in such a way that it doesn't raise a million red flags. Then to be able to reinflate that into a more detailed statement in a way that, as you said, isn't just copy/paste. It probably wastes a LOT of their time
That's some Bene Gesserit level of passive-aggressive
@@Terrible_name A wise lady once said "Simple, clean, devious. I like it."
"This summary isn't very detailed" sounds like a very similar game to one my old Practice Educator used to play with me when I was a first year student on placement in a hospital, but we called it "Guess What I'm Thinking of Without Me Offering Any Form of Hint or Guidance." Such a fun game.
reminds me of a game i played with a coworker once, "Say I Can Give You A Ride Home But When It Comes Time To Leave I Didn't Say That"
i lost, obviously
when i was a kid me and my dad played a game where we would guess the song the other person was singing. i really wanted to win, so in order to pick a song my dad wasn't familiar i asked him "tell me a song that you don't know" lol
Good times, l'm sure.
o thats what my boss played with us.

while i rummaged the supply area. and every time got the wrong item... fuck that boss.
@@saschamayer4050 It was! First prize was "Passing Your Placement and Being Able to Progress with Your Chosen Career."
There was no second prize, sadly.
I love how Monica just rolls with the investigator thing
I absolutely love how Mike reads the scammers emails exactly as they are typed.
i love how he doesn't have to correct himself after reading it wrong the first time, just perfectly nails all the odd typos first try.
Absolutely same. It's how I read things as well and it's funny to see ( and hear ) him do it with scammers.
It's really depressing when a scammer dumps you. We thought things were going so well. Why can't they return your calls? What did you ever do to them? 💔
Simply ungrateful 😒
The audacity!
Yeah, I thought we had a good thing going. They'd send some long prewritten text, I'd pretend I cared about it, then they would ask for the kind of information you should never give out on the Internet, while profusely assuring me (be rest assured!) they are 100 percent legitimate, then... I'd add them to the list.
I'm usually the one to dump scammers on the dating site I frequent. When it becomes screamingly obvious that they are a scammer (divorced/widowed, ONE kid, military, and super poor English) it becomes time to give them the boot. "Why insulted me?" one typed when I started in on him. It's since become a joke at work. XD
It’s not you, it’s them
I'm 100% ready for more Dark Monica Flange lore.
That end cracked me up.
I have a suspicion she's the only one that managed to get outside of the perimeter of Slauther Valley
@@mmmmmmolly An expat?
@@mmmmmmolly One of the previous Monica Flange videos had her sending out AI-generated text. Clearly she's one of the machine people, and has gotten a LOT more intelligent.
I want to see a 3-way conversation between Monica Flange's bot farm, the extradimensional alien brain-net that requires the procurement of certain metallic elements, and some 'poor' scammer who doesn't stand a chance.
@@Tynach i like your use of "machine people". I'm going to use it as an insult.
@@mmmmmmolly Make no mistake, I am NOT insulting the machine people, please don't misunderstand. I always give generously to them every year, and so far I have been one of the few they have been merciful toward. It's important to always be of as much use as possible to them, so that it's simply more efficient to allow us to exist.
One of my former bosses loved to play a spinoff of the "this summary isn't very detailed" game, it was called "i need a report of the xyz" and then say "this isn't what I want the report to show", such fun.
Yeah, I had one a bit like that. I was asked to publish a KPI report for my department, but the senior management team didn't like how it demonstrated that my team was quite effective.
@@AtomicShrimp you should have offered to write a different KPI report that didn't show you as effective. Different KPIs like
stopping world wars.
interpreting bosses instructions in advance.
playing golf during works days
etc.
A thing I like to do: If they say you are visiting whereever the consignment box/ gold bars/money is and you can pick it up shortly so there is no need for a courier, they get flustered and try to dial back their scam. Great fun to watch. Just dont be too assertive that usually scares them of.
I think he did this in one of his earlier videos. They did indeed get very spooked
@@PoptartParasol Sometimes they suggest it to kidnap you.
I love the little references from other scammers you have baited, like the mention of saffron at 5:49.
This is golden. Only true fans and followers will know 🤣
I don't remember the saffron thing, could someone please explain?
@@Geffro Yeah, preferably without being too lengthy, but while also including all necessary details?
SAFFRON
@@Geffro It was a similar deal with the oil thing, but it was a plant called Saffron that looked like red string, and that is basically it.
I may have left out some important details while writing this summary, as it doesn't seem very detailed to me, but well.
Monica is officially the best character in the Mange Tout Cinematic Universe, and I'm here for it.
The Mange Tout multimedia empire.
I know a certain soul who would have a few things to say about that
The twist at the end was genius, but I would expect that from you. It's so funny that on the same channel you can find wholesome cooking, slow TV, kind-of-vlogs, but also dystopic humour shorts and scambaiting.
And I love every bit of it !
I'm not into absolutely everything he posts, but that just means he makes a wide variety of content - and that's perfectly fine. In fact, that makes his channel better than most, in my opinion. There's something for everyone here.
Seriously, that ending was the best part of the video. It really made me laugh.
Also "I'm *almost* ready."
The summary not being very detailed reminds me of how in university professors would ask us to summarize a scientific article bearing in mind the authors had written a perfectly good abstract that accomplishes that better than anyone.
The idea behind that is to show that you've read and understood the article, though.
@@rolfs2165
Or I can read their abstract, and just re-word and re-write that.
Or asking you to stick to a word limit in an essay only to then criticise you for leaving stuff out
“I am 101% sure that there is no risk whatsoever associated to this transaction.”
Well that’s a relief, I always found that transactions with 100% free risk are too high of a risk.
I *help* people.....
😂😂😂 Your editing and especially your humor absolutely kills me!
Recognised every single one of those last questions from my US visa application, but then absolutely lost my shit at "Would you like to?". Twist I didn't see coming
Glad the US visa application has to ask if you've committed genocide. Because that clearly means at one point we had too many people entering the US that had committed genocide. And we were over our genocide quota for the day.

I FEEL YOUR PAIN
Have you ever tried taking some of those hilariously bad fake documents that scammers send you and using them to reply to other scammer's requests for personal details? I wonder if some of them would fall for it.
This is a brilliant idea. I'd love to see how it would go.
That’s what I planned on doing lol
Considering that these people steal identities it probably wouldn't work,
Unlikely as even as uneducated those scammers can be, they will still spot obviously fake screenshots.
Unsure whether or not it would even be important enough to focus on if the end goal is just collecting the fee. If not for some means like information selling or identify theft (unsure how common the 2nd one is), the IDs and information templates simply existed to make them seem more believable... Nevertheless it would be funny.
I want to be friends with Monica. Her sense of humor is delightful.

I’m really sad that we will never know what happened to Fred. He’s the only one who can manage the portal! :(
Probably he closed the portal, but he was on the wrong side.
@@filipstamate1564 Fred is stuck in the Nether without flint and steel

That "would you like to?" was so unexpected. Watching this on the bus and I nearly spat orange juice everywhere laughing and people gave me looks, that was so bloody funny
8:08 I gotten this email before. Whatever last name you use in your email, when you respond they will use it as the last name of the supposed dead relative. One-time I responded using the name Mr Bojangles. They claimed my relatives name was Richard Bojangles aka Dick Bojangles.😂
The new Flange lore adds quite an interesting twist to her character arc. A secret warlord and crime boss operating from the shadows masquerading as a naïve and very confused sweet old lady...
That ending was so unexpected, I think you actually managed to scare the scammer. Like not just a quick shock, but a lasting feeling of uneasiness.
As in, "I casually chatted with someone who's caused WAY more trouble than me, and she was so friendly! Who else around me could be like this under the hood?"
that passive aggressive dig at the old manager was incredibly well done
Many of my scambaiting techniques are just repurposed bad experiences of my own!
"I decided to play a little game that one of my line managers enjoyed playing with me a number of years back" -- not going to lie -- laughed out loud at this.
"Please carefully read it again" has real echoes of Scarfolk County Council's "for more information please re-read".
Little request: can you make that last little bit with Monica into a RUclips short? That was hilarious
Hey Atomic Shrimp I have been fellowing your scam videos for some time now and what I like the most is you're consistent use of past scammer reference's with new scammers
Oh god. I was hoping the punchline would be "Would you like to?" But the "I help people" finisher caught me off guard. Nicely done, as always.
'would you like to?' im dying that's fantastic, great video as always mr shrip
That middle man scam, gave me an idea. What if you tried to get them to admit to using money mules, but that you were an animal rights activist and that they should use plants instead or something else absurd.

I can't put into words the joy of seeing a new Shrimp upload
The delivery at 10:36 gave me a very hearty chuckle. Great work
This can go in an amazing direction! You can become a sort of "mentor" to the scammers that want to rise up the ladder in the world of crime, but all you give them is the most absurd and useless "tips" and "advice" and maybe even some ridiculous tasks 🤣
With promises that if they do what u tell them, they'll surely rise up the ranks!
Long time subscriber here, love your channel, Atomic shrimp, keep it up good sir! 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
i love this idea. scamming the scammers
These scammers must be clairvoyant, since all of them seem to know which country you are from before even telling them!
Probably because of the email adress, if it ends with ".co.uk" 🤔
And also expect you to be a mind reader when they don't tell what country they're in.
I just use a dot com address. The scammers don't know what country you are in. The email is template and goes to a huge list of potential victims. The 'investment in your country' is a lie, all of it.
@@AtomicShrimp I thought so, that's why Richard Paulo Santiago kept asking for your country even though he should already know since Mr B*nson lived "there". Although that scammer was extra dumb, I wouldn't put it past him missing an obvious detail like that haha.
Here's an idea. What if when theysuggest a barrister, you say that you've previously had a bad experience with that barrister and if you could chose another barrister, perhaps one of who there is no soul like?
I think Dickson Williams played Big Willy's nemesis Edwin "Weenie" Pecker in No Time to West's sequel No Money to West, could be wrong though.
No, you are quite right. It was a choice between Dickson Williams and John Barosa.
@@Matt.m6 No that's a common misconception: it was actually John Warosa who was up for that role
You should respond to one of those long emails by simply saying, "TLDR" if they even know what that means
Somehow i feel like my students would be very good at this “the summary isn’t very detailed” game of yours. They ask questions already answered in the text on a daily basis. 😂
I love these kinds of videos, I'm glad that even if most scambaiting sessions end without anything interesting, shorter bits like these can be compiled like this.
I love the horrific, broken English they use. "I take you not to be serious about this transaction" is just great. This kind of thing is EXACTLY why I started going to school with a concentration in cybersecurity. I really just want to bring down just one scammer. Some jerk who's out there ripping off older, unsuspecting, people without enough tech savvy to realize or understand that they're getting ripped off. I just think of these people and visions of my grandmother being taken for a fool by these scammers is all my very limited imagination can muster and I just get all upset. So, I'm going to try to at very least help stop some of these scammers. I fully approve of your wasting as much of their time as you possibly can!
I think my favorite Monica Flange moment was the "It's a secret" response to the scammer asking how she cleared her urbertexpic. I laughed out loud at that lmao
It's always a good day when AS uploads
PS maybe try blocking the "point up" emoji like you did the scammers' names from the comments section? Not sure if youtube recognizes that though

Scammers seem to love the number $8.5 millions dollar USD. There could be a specific reason for that which you could speculate on.
So many transactions being 100% risk-free can be explained simply : these transactions include absolutely no strategy game produced by Hasbro.

Or is she just dropping the disguise?
Who knows!
Monica: "Have you ever participated, ordered, directed, or assisted in torture or genocide?" Scammer: "No?" Monica: "Would you like to? I help people." Scammer: Wat Lady face.
I recently started working a call center sales job and i gotta say these scammers are very persistent. Our business model is literally just "call every small business in x area and only speak with the owners then read this script" which is shockingly similar to most phone scams, and we are instructed to prioritize quantity of calls over getting strung along like this.
Hahaha the last one was brilliant! Laughed out loud!
