@@lightningbot85 I just feel like the scammers in his videos go way farther than they realistically would have if it were real. In Atomic Shrimp's videos, he is frequently working hard to move the scammers on to other topics, and the scammers fight back to stay on topic, and eventually stop responding if things get too crazy. On Veitch's videos, it is very easy for Veitch to get them talking about things that are not relevent, and the scammers continue the conversation without trying much to get back to the scam. Additionally, some smaller things: In AS's videos, it seems like he is showing us real copies of the emails. In Veitch's videos, if they were real, the emails (to me) definitely look like they have been copied and put into some sort of software. Also, almost unrelated by Veitch's video about him being a roommate and ducks feels really fake, which leads me to doubt his other videos. Finally, Veitch is a comedian, he comes up with jokes for a living, so it is not too much of a stretch for me to imagine that these are fake. A lot of (probably most) stories comedians tell during stand up are made up just for the comedy, so I see no reason to treat Veitch's videos differently.
@@willnewman9783 yeah that's true, there is probably a good chance his videos are fake, but I will say, most his videos are not with scammers, they're with other people and he just pretends to be whoever the person thinks he is, so they just follow along until he admits it or they figure it out? It has a variety of definitions worldwide. The one that pertains here is: _Psychology. a person characterized by concern primarily with his or her own thoughts and feelings_ There is a tendency for people with this trait, when faced with a question, to accept their own assumption as the answer. Only a tendency mind. This isn't an all-or-nothing deal.
The current social definition of introvert, a person simply more at home in their own company, is a reduction of the psychological term, which lines up with what 'Shrimp used, almost verbatim.
@@AtomicShrimp what a ridiculous definition, whether it's accepted in psychology or not. Introverts aren't any more concerned with their own thoughts or feelings than anyone else. I'm not saying this is your mistake but this definition is in desperate need of an update!
@@TheStarBlack I don't think the precision of the definition really matters all that much; people who have narrower social contact with others may have a tendency to accept their own assumptions as correct, simply through less experience of having those assumptions challenged. The incompetence of scammers never ceases to amaze me. WHY would you tell your victim about warning signs that they’re dealing with an imposter and then exhibit ALL of those warning signs?
Came to the channel for the scambaiting, stayed for the variety content. Keep up the amazing work! Why would people be upset even if you were copying other’s? Doesn’t more channels mean more awareness for scams?
Even if you did "steal the idea", who cares when it comes to something like this? The more people that "steal the idea of scambaiting", the better for raising awareness.
And people can put a unique spin on scambaiting which can freshen the concept and bring new viewers who may never heard of it. But like Shrimp said, it's mostly young people who always make that complaint.

The fact that I still thought "impostor? well, that's a bit sussy" when I read the title, after watching the video half a year ago already, then clicked on it, says a lot about society (and about how good videos on this channel are). I could have just written "sus" in comments, but I didn't, because I feel like I need to say at least something of value to a man who spends a lot of time keeping scammers too busy to scam other people! @Life Thorne thanks. I feel humbled.
Funny how people can jump to conclusions and judge and accuse on impressions. I was just acused to not be able to have an roiginal thought because someone else wrote the same before me... I was accused of "stealing"
Oh well. Being spontaneous and weird is just what it is. So I replied and had a bit of fun. Maybe too much fun... naaaa, there cannot be such a thing as too much fun.

@@lizh1988 no he didn't. In a previous video a scammer kept saying he wasn't a small boy so he makes refences to that sometimes

Nah, but to be real for a second, this video is great.
I have seen other videos of people cooking on RUclips before too. And of people foraging wild food. And still I find the content you produce refreshing and enjoyable. Can you imagine if we all were only allowed to do things that are entirely novel in every respect? I look forward to whatever is next Mr A. Shrimp!
Have you ever tried signing of with a different name each time?.... that could be pretty funny too.
Good one!! XD

It works pretty well for the first couple emails, when they are still on script. They just take the name you signed with and plop it on the top.
in my experience, once they get off script they get VERY confused when they notice

I shall now use a bit of my mortal time to explain that i truly enjoy your content. Especially for how variable and interesting it is!
It is probably unnesssry to do so, but appreciated. 😂

Sir, You're the Bob Ross of Scambaiting! And I love how you take the time to acknowledge and confront comments made from haste and ignorance. My hat is, metaphorically, off to you.
on the subject of script stealing, I actually found you because a comment mentioned your channel as having a similar, funny scambaiting content on a James Veitch video. I loved his stuff, and now I love yours, but both are fairly different in presentation. the main similarity is that it's emails, and it's scambaiting. you each have your own individual styles, and both are perfect for who you are. keep up the great work!
I came here b/c I liked James Veitch's series, and saw that you had one like it, you post much more often, so i like yours better.
Same. I also personally think there is a good chance that Veitch's videos are fake, where as I do not think that about these.
@@willnewman9783 why do you think they are fake? I watch his vids and like them, but i've never thought they r fake?
I liked James Veitch's series, and while AS' series is a bit different, I like it even more.
I like both channels videos, and even if James fakes it, they are funny, so I don't really care. It does put a different light on things though.
We love a shout out to Ann Reardon. She's so good
She deserves a shout out!
i dont understand people who go out there way to accuse you of plagiarism, like just sit down, drink your tea and enjoy this well made video that is always funny and one that never disappoints.
I think it's mainly kids or trolls. Or a combination of both. Some kids are so used to the idea of " people stole my idea, omg please go to twitter and harass them" and that kind of drama that will accuse you of the silliest things.
@@Eisenwulf666 yeah, also in that bracket are people with no actual life and no goals. Basically it is just people who want the attention.. sad really..

The "word for word" part is probably because these scams are always very similar to each other.
This is surprisingly similar to how an actual accusation of people being an impostor goes.

Does introverted mean something else in the UK?
It has a variety of definitions worldwide. The one that pertains here is:
_Psychology. a person characterized by concern primarily with his or her own thoughts and feelings_
There is a tendency for people with this trait, when faced with a question, to accept their own assumption as the answer.
The term for that would be self-absorbed.
Extroverts do what they do to meet their own personal needs just as introverts do.
I'm not saying this is your mistake but this definition is in desperate need of an update!
@@TheStarBlack wow
@@TheStarBlack I don't think the precision of the definition really matters all that much; people who have narrower social contact with others may have a tendency to accept their own assumptions as correct, simply through less experience of having those assumptions challenged.
I am not, and was not implying that *all* introverted people are like this.
Excellent effort enumerating both real and their own logic. It's a shame it was not appreciated.

as a son of bank employees that was exposed to lots of hours of management of individual finances:
if you "forget" your funds or your prizes, the bank would be delighted to not give you the money.
if the "bank employee" makes it sound to easy or he/she spends to much time on you, its probably a scam. bank employees that contact the clients tak e care of more than 200-400 accounts of people like you.
if they spend more than 5 minutes (30-40 minutes if you are in person at the bank), something is very off.
and they arent allowed to threat you or beeing rude, they are trained not to, and they deal with more 300 people and lots of them are REALLY rude.
“You stole this from someone”
“No I didn’t”
It’s hard to fight that honestly
“I don’t have time to say why I’m a scammer, only for breaking that law and wasting peoples’ time.”

I think its funny that people act like pseudo-intellectuals because they watch TED talks, but then think scambaiting originated from them just because its the first place they saw one. So naive.

Binary hell
@@RF_N Just gives me random binary data.
“Fully fueled and running”
🤣🤣🤣 You crack me up
**Car starting in background**
I love all of your videos! I'd love to see someone animate this with an Among Us theme
Dude I can literally get on my phone right now and bait a scammer and make a video and somehow people on RUclips would think I'm a thief... today's internet logic there can be one and only person who is allowed to fight back against scammers and tell the tale.
Keep making these videos this is literally the definition of fair use and you genuinely make me burst into laughter😂
You’re actually my favorite scam baiting maker. Wish I could see more but I understand it can take quite awhile
I got a phone call today from a scammer that keeps calling me. This time I decided to start to recite the Phone Guy script (from FNaF) but sadly they hung up on me before I could finish.
Find where they live and recite it to them in person.
I would love to see you play "among us"
that would be hilarious 😂
He could be good after reading so many different scams and lies
Nah
Yeah
You copied my 8th grade cyber-bullying paper word-for-word then changed every single word. I'm very disappointed.
Ghanaian here and its good to get representation here. These videos are comedy gold. Thank you very much
Macro Shrimp, thank you for this video - I am new to this scambaiting business and have seen some mighty funny people out there, but this is the first one that I have seen of yours and the first English one (yay!).Love your sense of humour, and am really disappointed with what some of your accusers say - that you have stolen other people's scambaiting scripts, but completely re-written the words! Er, yeah, coz that makes sense. Quite simply, you rock!
