That last one...They could really think on their feet. Imagine waiting for someone needing hacking services, having your script and sheets ready, and setting aside the remains of your rotted heart in preparation, when,= someone starts messaging you about fish. I find it hysterical for this one how they still demand payment to help with something they demonstrate themselves to have absolutely no knowledge of. I think in the German dub Homers response is even better. There he answers: "Bezahlen Sie erstmal", "First you've gotta pay". And the delivery of the German voice actor is great, too.
I'm sorry I read the first line of the dialogue in your comment and immediately heard the voice of Bo Burnham start singing... he won't stop, what have you done to me.

You are probably my favourite channel on RUclips. Don’t ever change your ethos and business model. You’re also the only channel I rewatch videos of. Just never change how you do, not that I think you will 👍
I think that out of all of the Characters in the “Atomic Shrimp Cinematic Scamaverse”, Monica Flange has recently had some of my favorite “character development” over the past few videos, going from a polite and helpful but occasionally absent-minded assistant to Mr. Bentleberry (if I remember correctly from the “continual delegation” video) to an Absolute Lunatic and potential International Agent of Chaos? XD This is probably a weird question, but would it be weird to draw an Artistic Rendering of all the different Characters you’ve played as part of your Scambaiting Series thus far, and if I did (idk if I’ll have time because of my work schedule), is there a safe and not-weird way I could send it to you? I absolutely love your content (scambaiting and otherwise!) and would love to show my appreciation for the hilarious mental images you’ve been conjuring for me via these funny little narratives you weave into your scambaiting. :3
Alaye is a world scammers will use that is basically codeword for asking if you are another scammer. If you see that that means they are suspicious that you are a scammer.
5:16 »Can I call you?« »No, I'm in a silent zone.« Perfect! I need to remember this one for annoying people who start a chat with you only to get you on the phone. 8:26 so absurd these two conversations. Thanks for sharing, great entertainment.
How many times have scammers told you that they need to "do the needful" now? I swear I've heard that phrase before, is it an overly literal translation from a specific language?
I think it's just an old British phrase that fell out of use everywhere outside of the Indian subcontinent and maybe some countries in Africa a long time ago
When the first scammer mentioned fireworks, that threw me off-guard. I was wondering if he was trying to suggest *shooting a flare* to contact the fish or something. I also love three other notable things about this video: • The Finding Nemo-esque thumbnail. • The crocodile line. • The last scammer saying "patronize my store".
I bought a few fish recently. When I got home, they were all dead. When I took them back to the shop to complain, the fishmonger expected me to eat them. How insensitive can you get? A child who was expecting to keep them as pets would be heartbroken.
Hilarious as usual.....I have a soft spot for the scambaiting as this was how I found you on RUclips, quite possibly due to previously watching Jim Browning.
As someone who once had fish like plecos and tetras, hearing the various problems with them reminded me of when I used to have similar problems while caring for them.
This was an excellent riff on a trusty scambait. Usually, half the reason I watch these videos is the enjoyment I get from listening to the little clip of "Mr. Barrister John Warosa" at the end - but this time, that was only about 15% of the amount of enjoyment I got from the video. Superb.
I can't believe how creative you are! I follow you for the foraging videos but I love your food tests, food challenges, recipes and arts and crafts. And now I'm loving your scamming the scammers videos!!!
I would love to see more of these kind of scambaiting! Where you edit the recommendation to says something else. Maybe you can bring the scammers to ask you who said that, and show them the edited image for more confusion. I feel like it would really waste their time to have to talk about something they're not familiar with!
last one was obviously still a scammer but either researched beta fish or has experience with them because as fighting fish they are known to bully eachother from what i know and need separating
I sympathise with poor Derek, also lost a few dozen neon Tetra's and Cardinal Tetra's.... I was quite novice at keeping tropical fish at the time... Weirdly my firemouths grew exponentially
I keep tropical fish and dwarf shrimp. A couple of years ago when I first got into the hobby, I was watching a lot of RUclips videos about shrimp keeping, and that's how I first came across Atomic Shrimps videos - I think RUclips suggested it to me simply because there was shrimp in the name. With this video I feel like the connection has finally come full circle 😂
It's interesting because there are a few aquarium channels that keep tagging me when they release a Shrimp video. I don't mind, but it's funny. I guess they might just have searched for a list of other channels with Shrimp in the name. Maybe the algorithm is sending people here because of that. 🤣
I had some fun recently when I spotted one of those spam comment conversations while it was in still in progress. I tried to sabotage the thread by insulting the integrity of the expert who was being recommended, and one of the spammers started arguing with me 😀
Had an interesting scam (I am pretty sure) come my way a couple days ago. A person trying to buy an old piece of furniture from me on Facebook marketplace tried a refund scam through a convoluted story about having to send extra payment to my account and that we needed to promise to send the extra $200 back. Hadn’t seen this one before, but your channel and others like it definitely helped me spot it more easily than might have otherwise been the case. Keep up the good work!
Ah the hoops you can make scammers jump through. Very entertaining. Obviously it must have been a slow scam day, that last one was pretty desperate for your hard earned mulah. Going off and researching fish tanks. The reviews were just genius I never seen that done before and you certainly surprised them.
As a person who loves tropical fish and scambaiting, this call had me rolling. Inky, Pinky, and Binky, my black skirt tetras, and Pokey, my giant pleco, also loved the call. Yotsuyu, my Molly, didn't care for it.🤣 In all seriousness, great call, Atomic Shrimp!
I work at an LFS and I can confirm that all the people you messaged are experts in their field, especially neon tetra disappearance cases. Well worth the money. And remember, male bettas love being together in a small tank as they will get very lonely otherwise :) "Fish vet" didn't know what a Shubunkin was lmao
I like how the first one implies that Derek has a tank filled with tetras, a tank with a handful of tetras and an empty tank. And forgot about the existence of the other 2 tanks.
You should've also reminded that in Finland it is illegal to shoot fireworks with the exception from New Year's Eve 6 o'clock PM to New Years Day 6 o'clock AM.
I gotta say, the last scammer is pretty good at their job. The email they sent immediately gave a sense of legitimacy, and that's scary considering how they had to change their persona and business model on such short notice

the ones that tried honestly to give fish advice have all my respect and love. may they find their way both morally and to a better job
"The plecos are all dead, I hope you are happy."
idk why but you sending this to him made me lose it :D
You know it's gonna be a good day when Atomic Shrimp drops a new scambaiting video😁
That last one put a surprising amount of research into fish to try to scam you. You would think that if they were willing to put that amount of effort in they could get a legit job.
It was like a textbook example of how to upsale a customer who called in with a question.
The last one I would not be surprised if you were drop shipped the $30 fish hotel. Still a very healthy amount of profit and they maybe cared enough about the fish to get them an OK tank.
@@errorerror6918 This. Also a good way to get a foot in the door for repeat sales of fish items.
WARNING!
DO NOT TRY CURING YOUR FISH WITH FIREWORKS!
I have tried it, and sadly it didn't work after the first time.
hi i am hacker can bring fish back from the dead it is no scam just pay me 200 glarded via coinsquirt
Well, have you tried treating fish this way a second time?
@@Max_6200 Yes, that's the problem. It appears to work the first time, but the second time there is a well known problem. I will not insult anybody's intelligence by actually explaining it. It is described very well on its Wikipedia article.
The Plecos and Shubunkin are resting peacefully in the great fish prison in the sky. RIP.
XD
This is probably a weird question, but would it be weird to draw an Artistic Rendering of all the different Characters you’ve played as part of your Scambaiting Series thus far, and if I did (idk if I’ll have time because of my work schedule), is there a safe and not-weird way I could send it to you? I absolutely love your content (scambaiting and otherwise!) and would love to show my appreciation for the hilarious mental images you’ve been conjuring for me via these funny little narratives you weave into your scambaiting. :3
Did you ever draw?
@@AB-dm1wz sadly no, work got in the way… I might relisten to the playlist and revisit the idea, though!
@@MissBeeBonnet Let me know how it pans out!
Hey, I made stinging nettles for the first time after watching it on you show last year. It was fantastic, thank you!
How many times have scammers told you that they need to "do the needful" now? I swear I've heard that phrase before, is it an overly literal translation from a specific language?
I've heard it's an Indian English thing, but I don't know the back story either.
I think it's just an old British phrase that fell out of use everywhere outside of the Indian subcontinent and maybe some countries in Africa a long time ago
This was one of the most enjoyable scambaiting videos ever! You play the disappointed/pissed-off character really well
I've been waiting patiently for another one of these! Always love them.
Lol that last scammer who was super helpful with the fish was gold 😆
When the first scammer mentioned fireworks, that threw me off-guard. I was wondering if he was trying to suggest *shooting a flare* to contact the fish or something.
I also love three other notable things about this video:
• The Finding Nemo-esque thumbnail.
It took me a little bit to get why Derek, a f(ph)ish enthusiast, was from Finland.
Gave me a good chuckle.
The funny thing is that I've kept fish before and I kept trying to solve the fake problems in my head.
This was an excellent riff on a trusty scambait. Usually, half the reason I watch these videos is the enjoyment I get from listening to the little clip of "Mr. Barrister John Warosa" at the end - but this time, that was only about 15% of the amount of enjoyment I got from the video. Superb.
I actually felt betrayed when that last scammer started claiming he'd sell AS a tank xD
The fishtank scammers are the friendliest so far.
Suggestion: Ask a scammer if they can make you get rich, then ask them to use the same way they'd use to make you rich to pay the fee.
As a long-time aquarist I am laughing my behind off right now.🤣
last one was obviously still a scammer but either researched beta fish or has experience with them because as fighting fish they are known to bully eachother from what i know and need separating
This is the first time I've ever watched the video as soon as it's released. I don't know why, but I'm enjoying that.
I love your scam baiting videos so much 🤣🤣 Thank you for what you do Atomic Shrimp, you make my day with these. Keep up the good work sir! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I was actually worried about the tetras
The last scammer would make quite a formidable salesperson.
"hello welcome to my platform"
oh, wow, i didn't realise we were talking to the owner of instagram
also "finland" absolutely ruined me
I find your story telling very calming like a BBC radio 4 show.
I had some fun recently when I spotted one of those spam comment conversations while it was in still in progress. I tried to sabotage the thread by insulting the integrity of the expert who was being recommended, and one of the spammers started arguing with me 😀
I love the fish roleplay scammer. Funny :)
All these scam videos are great. I can use some of it for my job to help my customers, too. And they're really funny lol
What's your job?
@@Max_6200 I work with bank accounts, so knowing how to spot fraud is important, especially for older customers
A Scammer writing "beware of scammers" is so hilarious
why do these scammers always use the phrase "do the needful"? Is this an error common with native speakers of a particular language?
Indian english
When the profile picture switches to the blank default instagram picture it usually means the scammers account was removed
Ah the hoops you can make scammers jump through. Very entertaining. Obviously it must have been a slow scam day, that last one was pretty desperate for your hard earned mulah. Going off and researching fish tanks. The reviews were just genius I never seen that done before and you certainly surprised them.
Why does it make me happy you calmly discuss gaslighting scammers regarding aquarium fish? haha!
As a person who loves tropical fish and scambaiting, this call had me rolling. Inky, Pinky, and Binky, my black skirt tetras, and Pokey, my giant pleco, also loved the call. Yotsuyu, my Molly, didn't care for it.🤣
In all seriousness, great call, Atomic Shrimp!
I work at an LFS and I can confirm that all the people you messaged are experts in their field, especially neon tetra disappearance cases. Well worth the money.
And remember, male bettas love being together in a small tank as they will get very lonely otherwise :)
"Fish vet" didn't know what a Shubunkin was lmao
Ahh yes Bettas loooove being in a tank together, no fighting at all ;)
A new AS video? Who cares if it’s 1AM here I’m watching the whole thing! Thanks for being one of the best channels (and people) on RUclips!
I like how the first one implies that Derek has a tank filled with tetras, a tank with a handful of tetras and an empty tank. And forgot about the existence of the other 2 tanks.
Knowing this channel, I wasn't immediately sure this video was about scambaiting, either way I'm not disappointed; great advice.
You should've also reminded that in Finland it is illegal to shoot fireworks with the exception from New Year's Eve 6 o'clock PM to New Years Day 6 o'clock AM.
I love these scammers. They’re so pointlessly stupid (because the filter usually catches them)!
I liked the second one. He didn't studder or asked for payment. He just went like "yeah that sounds like a good idea"
this video came out right as i was rewatching your older scambaiting videos, nice!
THE FISH IN THE BACKGROUND SPARK SO MUCH JOY
"It's ugly I hate it" Thats exactly what I tought to myself when I saw the Hotel.
Atomic Shrimp referring to himself in the third person as "Derek" is too funny.
Those tanks that the scammer sheared are bad tanks. Don't get them it's bad quality of life for the fish.
I love how almost all of these scammers just roll with the fact that they are now a fish professional instead
Should of told them you got a fish from the chippy and when you got home it was battered any way love your scam videos very entertaining
I gotta say, the last scammer is pretty good at their job. The email they sent immediately gave a sense of legitimacy, and that's scary considering how they had to change their persona and business model on such short notice
"You are welcome to my platform"
The first guy you baited threw my neighbour's piranha in a blender whilst reciting rude limericks in French! He can't be trusted with fish!
"space comma" sounds like the sort of comma used exclusively in important documents drafted on the ISS
space comma is often used by conspiracy theories. The Yt conspiracy cats, makes fun about it xD
"Go and rest."
Interesting choice claiming the scammers are fish experts. I guess there really is something…fishy about them.
If you do fish again, here’s an idea: you’ve been tasked with watching Sylgar, your cranky boss Mr. Xanathar’s fish (it’s probably Greek). I doubt they’ll get the Dungeons and Dragons reference, but the shenanigans that would ensue…
