- Garlic Edamame is often served in Japanese restaurants as an appetizer. It is very flavor, a healthy snack, and a great social food as it can be shared. It is also great as a finger food at parties and can served as a side dish. Another version of this dish is to boil it and then add salt but this stir fry version is much tastier.
Ingredients:
1) 1lb (453g) frozen edamame
2) 7-8 gloves garlic
3) Salt to taste (~1tsp), oil
Instructions:
1) Boil one pound of frozen edamame. As soon as the water begins to boil, take it off the heat and drain the water.
2) Mince your garlic.
3) To a hot pan or wok, add oil and stir fry your edamame until there is a slight char.
4) Add your garlic and continue to stir fry until garlic is brown and crispy. Add your salt to taste
5) Plate up and enjoy.
As always, please enjoy :^)
