Can't wait to travel with my Steam Deck, your hiking story is getting me excited!
The best friend a traveler can have :D
I have two full hours of commuting by train each day, and the Deck is perfect for that. I even finally play different games that are more suited for offline play (usually big MMO Player).
Funny how just this morning I saw an article where someone said that the deck 'wasn't fit for purpose' due to 'only' getting 4 hours of battery life. Article had me rolling my eyes so hard I'm surprised they didn't pop out of my dang head.
I can hardly wait for next weekend's cottage trip! So far come into play mainly in Final Fantasy XIV and Path Of Exile. Both are really functional! Thanks for the great video!
Have fun and thanks!
Awesome! I want this because I travel for work, but I also plan to do more camping this summer. I can’t wait to swing in my hammock while I play some RDR2
Also, need to check out this chrome cast you mentioned. I was planning to pack a hub, hdmi cable, and wireless controller so that I could connect to a hotel tv. But seems like instead all I need is that one device? The primary reason I want a steam deck over a laptop is to reduce the weight of my luggage.
The Chromecast would be for watching your shows or movies and not for games as the latency is too much. Just as a note
I plan on using my when I’m just sitting around waiting for my next loads. As a truck driver I always wanted something I can have to keep up with my gaming while on the road. Now just need bungie to get destiny to work. Great video
sorry I missed the event... I noticed if you put the deck on the face side of the case, it has a gap for air flow below it
Sweet! I'm actually going to Utah with my family this summer. There's going to be lots to do but I'm definitely taking this during my down time.
That's awesome! What part of Utah?
@@games_revealed Going up to SLC and some neighboring cities for sight-seeing. My wife will be our tour guide so I'm really excited about it.
I live by SLC and like it here. I think you will enjoy the visit :D
@@games_revealed Yeah I'm definitely checking out the library and stuff in Park City and Utah State. Maybe I'll run into you haha
Nice, I live in Park City. Lovely little mountain town. I’m playing Shreeders on my Steam Deck because I just can’t wait for the ski season to start again :P I hope everyone enjoyed their time in Utah!
I Reserved My 512 Deck, So I Can Rely Less On Buying The Most Up To Date GPUs On My Gaming Desktop, So Now With The Deck, I Can Rely More On Steam Portable Gaming Rather Relying On My Awesome Desktop Rig. The Prices Are Just Bad Right Now For Desktop Parts, N Just Sick Of The Scalper's. The Deck For Me, Fixes This Issue.
I’ve watched a lot of these steam deck videos. It’s been great content. But what is the brink thing? I’m always so confused at the start of the videos lol.
"James and also the Th3brink and we are one" is just a reference to my name and gamer tag being the same person in a weird way. I did it once for fun and the community has liked it since.
@@games_revealed that’s awesome! Thanks for clearing it up. I feel like I’m in on the joke now!
Nice vid! Guys I have a question is it possible to play starwars jedi fallen order without a internet connection?
I'm still waiting for my Deck to arrive to China, but for now I'm using a Switch Oled and take it with me on high speed trains or when I commute by subway, also take it on every trip, play at hotels or in parks. Hopefully I'll be doing the same with Deck this year.
Is there a way to cast a game to a screen using chromecast? I've considered using steam link app (Android TV).
Would love to be able to just cast my deck onto my TV while sitting in bed
I have both tried doing this with my laptop and developed an app with the chromecast API, and I wouldn't recommend you casting a game as the latency is too much and makes for a poor experience. The steam link app is your best bet
Can you play Dishonored with touchpads? I am super curious how easy it is to aim where you wanna blink!
Yeah, you can map about any game with touchpads. I would imagine the aiming to be pretty good with the right sensitivity selected
First, on a slower phone than normal as well!
Will a GPS dongle work with the steam deck?
I wish the size was a little more compact. I travel as light as possible and can barely find the room to pack my switch and this thing is even larger.
I'm gonna be using mine at work
Not sure I could get away with it at work. Enjoy it at work!
@@games_revealed my job permits it
I have been waiting to have a portable experience of some of the Tales of Games, Metal Gear Solid V, and FFXV. These games are confirmed by Steam to work, from my library. It will be great, because I drive OTR.
Sounds like the perfect device for you :D
A guy did a great video today on how he uses Velcro to keep his SD cards in his deck case is that where you got that idea? Can't wait for my second deck to come in after October it'll be the 64 instead of this version but I don't care STEAM DECK ROOOOOOOOCKS
Great idea!
I want to say that the 3D print that you can put the Steam Deck charger in and fit it behind the elastic of the case also has built in slots for SD cards. That would be my plan. Of course, I have to wait until "After Q3" for my first deck to show up, so I am not jumping on printing anything yet, since that is another 5 months to wait and plenty can/will change in that time.
Is your deck colored? How did that happen? I want to color mine now
It's a skin from Dbrand
不错不错
I definitely got my accessories...on deck
That was awful
Yay
I'm number 2 cause I'm the shit 😌 🤣
You are awesome!
Id like to see an oled screen at 720p 120hz a faster cpu and gpu for docked mode purposes and a bigger battery and more storage options. And more ports i also want the powere board headphone jack and buttons all on sepperate boaards
Yes it would increase in size a bit but not by much
What’s the point of 120hz on a handheld? It’s very unnecessary since most people are gonna be playing single player games at 30FPS
That will drain the battery so much. I really like 60 Hz.
@@aTron0018 not really
@@NoCapNick698 youre assuming what other people are going to be doing when you should be encouraging hardware to progress
and makes a video behinds his desk
Awesome for about an hour and a half……2 hours if lucky.
Should depends on the type of games you play. Or if you are willing to bring a battery pack.
It really all depends on what you play and with what settings.
